About this property

Bienvenido from Cozumel and Villa Coronado! We overlook some of the bluest Caribbean water you’ll ever see! Perfect for divers, snorkelers, readers, vacationers, and families, Villa Coronado is also the perfect spot for a wedding or a yoga retreat. The glass-tiled pool includes a fountain, and comfortable lounge chairs surround the pool area. Sunsets are amazing! All rooms are air-conditioned, even the communal spaces.

You will enjoy the luxury of a guest host on the island who will give you a tour of the house and answer all your questions. Maid service is included on Mondays and Thursdays!

The ocean views from three of the four master suites, balconies, and the rooftop terrace are magnificent features of our villa. Our home was designed and furnished for comfort. The décor is simple and light, the floor plan is open and airy with 10-foot ceilings. There are several outdoor verandas, porches, decks, and balconies. I know you'll agree that Villa Coronado is something special.

Our Guest Host, Mario C, is a great divemaster and can take your group snorkeling, diving, or touring as well.

The second living area upstairs has a futon, and an air mattress is available as is a pack-and-play for little ones. We have a high chair and baby gates. Cooking services and grocery shopping are available at an additional fee. Two maid services are included, on Mondays and Thursdays. There are several beach clubs and restaurants within walking distance, including the famous National Parque, Chankanaab.

Favorite México vacation!

Loved everything about this trip. The location was the best spot on island with great snorkeling across the street and great shops and restaurants nearby. Mario and Sarah the managers were the best. They responded immediately about any questions we had. Mario was the best snorkel guide and set us up with fishing and even gave a quick scuba lesson. We will definitely be back.

Great time in a great spot.

Gorgeous house. Very good snorkel right out the front door. Walking distance to some beach clubs but take the time to go to town and experience the city and friendly Mexican people. Just dont book for the same days as us :-)

Wonderful property for groups and large families!

What a great property for vacation! We were planning a family vacation with our sons, wives, and 3 grandsons. It is a perfect house for all ages! Great layout for naps and quiet time...and even reading a book or taking a nap. Unfortunately due to illness our grandsons couldn't make it this year, so we invited two extra friends to join us. We had more than enough to do every day! The bedrooms were very large and had nice bathrooms. Great for separate families and privacy! The pool area and covered deck were wonderful for a little bit of shade or a break from the rain. Great sunsets from the deck and palapa upstairs......we even ventured out to the beach for some of the best sunsets. The furniture outside was perfect for eating meals or gathering. It was nice to have 2 separate areas to relax.. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need. Plenty of utensils/dishes/serving pieces for any cooking you might want to do. Having filtered water available was a nice treat! Mario, the house manager was wonderful to work with. He met us upon arrival, gave us a tour of the house and instructions for lighting, fans and the pool. He was available anytime we needed help. We even hired him to take our group on a snorkeling tour. He's an enthusiastic diver and tour guide. Overall we had a terrific four week stay. We felt safe at all times and enjoyed being so close to the ocean. The owner was a great communicator and took care of any minor issues immediately. Our family would highly recommend this home!

What a wonderful place!

My friends and I had a great time here for my birthday week. Mario was super helpful and also took us on a great snorkeling trip. The house is spacious and comfortable and was perfect for our group of 10.

Great house in great location

We loved our stay and will stay here again… this location is across from good snorkeling… it’s close to the Money Bar and a short ride from town… great sunsets, good AC and comfortable accommodations. Mario took good care of us… I highly recommend!

Excellent stay

We had a wonderful family vacation at Villa Coronado! The place is conveniently located right across the road from playa uvas which is an excellent beach for snorkeling and swimming! We rented a car for hopping around the island and the house is located about 15 minutes from the square in town. The property manager Mario was excellent making us homemade salsa upon arrival. The place is so clean and fresh with housekeeping service multiple times a week! We loved the pool and dive cleaning tank for after our diving days. This house accommodated our family of 9 and we enjoyed the fully equipped kitchen, the laundry room, the upstairs palapa and balconies! We visit Cozumel multiple times a year and will be back to Villa Coronado!

Great location and house!

We really enjoyed our time here. The house is within walking distance to two beach clubs and minor driving to many more. The manager, Mario, is fantastic as was the cleaning service and responsiveness of the host. We went snorkeling with Mario for a day, and he helped me contact a doctor on the island when I had some ear issues from diving. The house is nothing short of amazing, from the location, to the pool, to the people.

Gorgeous place, convenient yet quiet location

Don’t even know where to start! The house was amazing and comfortable for my husband and our 5 20-somethings. We opted to have Jorge and Fernanda from Sandra’s Kitchen cook for us and they were amazing. A new delight each day! Mario was absolutely wonderful - showed us everything, helped us get a some drinks and a few groceries, got us a couple of bikes to take around, and took us on some amazing and very personalized dives! He was very responsive and made the week nothing short of perfect. I can’t say enough about how easy it all was. The location is perfect. Close enough to a few restaurants, bars and beaches but quiet enough that we weren’t bothered when we stayed around the house. The pool and grounds were gorgeous. We didn’t end up renting a car, taxis and bikes were enough to get around, although we did rent a keep and some scooters to go around the island one day.

This was a great experience. House is clean and very functional. Property manager Mario was a pleasure to deal with and very helpful with answering questions about the area to arranging trips, taxi rides etc. Beach and beautiful clear water is right I front of the house. You can snorkel within 100’ off the property. Sunset and sunrise Views off the balcony and the roof top are something you need to see. We felt safe, welcomed and appreciated. Wonderful Week

The home, the pool, the location and the diving were everything we expected! The new divers in our group were blown away by the variety of sea life they saw snorkeling from the beach just across the street from the house and the shore dive and drift dive led by Mario. We had plenty of room for the whole family and the private swimming pool was perfect for relaxing in at the end of the day and watching some amazing sunsets. Great accomodations

Despite the weather we had a great time. Wish we could have done more exploring. The owner answered all of our questions and the property manager was very attentive and prompt with our requests. Rented a car that was also very necessary. Had some good diving excursions and saw a lot of life in GODs aquarium. Would definitely book here again.

We had a great time here. The house was absolutely wonderful, and the property manager Mario was the most helpful. He was responsive, and even arranged for us to have some birthday decorations upon arrival for my sister. He helped us coordinate any activity we were looking to do, and was so kind. Beautiful Property/Quiet Stay

Great stay! Tam, Laurie, and Pancho were all responsive and very easy to work with throughout our stay and during the reservation process. The house was clean, in a quiet location just outside of town, close to many great beaches, and walking distance to 2 restaurants. The house was perfect for our group of 7 people and we enjoyed relaxing in the evenings watching the sunset over the sea. The beach across the street is both rocky and a bit sandy and offered snorkeling. Because of the sharp rocks at the entrace, I’d recommend having swim shoes/beach shoes on this beach. We also drove to several quiet beaches on the south and east of the island. We ordered a chef service for dinners which was good and we preferred the fresh fish entrees. Overall, it was a great stay and we would absolutely return. Suggestions: clean the pool before guests arrive (lots of debris/leaf litter in pool) and more drinkware (there weren’t enough glasses and the plastic ones were old/deteriorated).

Ironman perfect

I rented this home for my husbands first Ironman. It met and exceeded all expectations. We visit Cozumel often and we are returning to the property for spring break this March! Perfect for relaxing

This is our second time renting this property and we love it. It is ocean front (local road in between the house and the beach) with fantastic views of the sea and sunset in the spring. We shared the house with a group of friends. The house has a nice kitchen and living room area that opens to the covered deck and pool. The pool is small, but big enough for a few floaties. We hired a private chef service for the week and the food was delicious. We added in the option for “lunchtime snacks” and that was the only thing we didn’t like - not worth the money. The rest of our meals were great. Town is about 15-20 minutes by car. We had paid the chef service to buy us groceries, which they charged 20%. It is easy enough to get to town from the house and not necessary to pay this fee. Next time we will get our own groceries! We rented bikes for the week and this was a perfect way to explore. One problem we did have was our dive boat was not able to pick us up at the Fiesta Americana pier as promised. The hotel was really nasty about it and wouldn’t let us use the dock, even if we paid a small fee. If you are a diver, this is definitely something to keep in mind. The dive shop thankfully was able to get permission from the Money Bar - a 15 minute walk from the house - so we used their pier. Money Bar is a very convenient place to grab drinks and food. It’s reasonably priced and good quality. And the service is terrific. On Sunday afternoon they have live music. Great place to sit out and enjoy the beautiful sunsets. The house is nicely appointed and had everything we would need. A few hiccups were immediately addressed by the management and the week was pretty much without problems or issues. Each of the 4 bedrooms has an en suite bathroom. Plenty of closets and drawer space in each room. The house is cleaned every other day which is fine, but daily would be nicer, especially since we seemed to use all the towels every day between showers, pool/beach. Thankfully, there is a washer and dryer in the house that is available to use - a real convenience. One night we went to town and had dinner at the local Italian restaurant, Guidos. It is right on the Main Street in town and is a fabulous spot to eat! We go every time we are in Cozumel and are never disappointed. Overall, this house is a great spot. Responsive rental managers and just a lovely place to spend time. We will definitely be back.

Enjoyable vacation house for 2 families

We enjoyed staying at this house for a week in March 2019. Our favorite things: * Location - right across 1 way road from beach, excellent snorkeling right out your back door! * Spacious house, plenty of room for 8 ppl * Comfortable beds * Great pool and outdoor space A few cons: * Kitchen could use a refresh on cooking utensils/bowls, sharper knives and cleaning sponges. Grilling utensils were all old and falling apart. We asked for replacements and did receive brand new set. * A/C was not working properly during our week. Took 2 attempts to get fixed and a couple very warm nights for the 3 bedrooms upstairs. When we arrived there were 2 extra fans but neither one happened to work. When we asked for replacements, we were told previous guests bought for house and owner would not be providing replacements. * Unit lacking a decent "renter's manual" to inform guests about some of the questions we had during week. Simple instructions for how to adjust A/C - 2 thermostats and where located, garbage location, recycling location, where safe was located and user instructions to set lock, how to work TV and outdoor speakers. * Gas Grill would be a nice touch. * Wish jacuzzi tub outside was able to heat up as well * Consider upgrading coffee maker * Every morning the dune buggy excursions stop out front of the house for a photo opportunity - lasts about 45 min - 1 hr depending on # of excursions. Not a problem if you are an early riser but loud and got annoying as week went on.

Sweet pad

Great place! 5 of us stayed here for a week and loved it. Bars and restaurants are walking distance, cabs easy to hail and the beach is in front of your face. Did I mention the pool? Super cool. I’ve been to Cozumel 20 times but have always wanted to stay for a period of time. This was a perfect option. Thanks again! David Hagen

We built Villa Coronado in 2000. We have spent many happy vacations in our home with friends and family. As avid divers, we love our location overlooking the Mexican Caribbean.

Why they chose this property

Cozumel is a friendly, casual island. I've heard it described as 'easy, breezy, with few pretentions.' I cannot think of a better way to describe it. We have been coming here since the late 1980s and will continue to travel here for many years to come.

What makes this property unique

Whether you enjoy diving, swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing, shopping, fine dining, fishing, or golfing, Cozumel has it. We are in walking distance of Parque Chankanaab where one can hang on the beach, snorkel, dine, and see beautiful gardens and a lagoon. Cabana Beach is connected to Chankanaab and is also walking distance. World Heritage site Chichen Itza is on the mainland, and it only takes a couple of hours to get there. A 40-minute ferry ride will take you to Playa del Carmen, with Tulum, Xelha, and Xcaret available nearby. Cancun is 45 minutes north of Playa del Carmen. During June, July and August you can visit Holbox Island, 2 hours north of Cancun, to swim with Whale Sharks! Or even closer, they are also just 15 miles out from Isla Mujeres. It is a once-in-a-lifetime experience to swim with these magnificent, and gentle, giants. You can work with biologists here in Cozumel during turtle nesting season, April through September, at Punta Sur Parque. Cozumel has the only Pearl Farm in the Caribbean, and it is a fun day to explore it, have lunch, and enjoy a pristine beach in the north! There is always something to do!
