This place is prefect, sets off the road and is very quiet.

It’s very spacious and comfortable. The only thing that I would like is if they had recliners, but I would go back even if they don’t get recliners.

Not a good experience

We were tired after a long travel day, entered the home to discover the home smells of dog urine and the kitchen having mouse poop on the counter, Also discovered mouse poop by the sliding glass door and fireplace. I wouldn’t return to this home.

Warning - do not rent this property

this property is in terrible condition. When we pulled up it looked abandoned; grass grown up, abounded truck and camper out front, etc. Dishwasher and disposal not working. Terrible smell when we walked in; no central air so only option was to open the few windows that were operable but the screens were broken or missing; same for the back door screen. So we had flies in the house the entire time. This is a run down property that has not been properly maintained. I have NEVER left a negative review but this one is well deserved.

Terrible Experience

This house was in terrible shape and no one should be paying to stay in it. When we showed up there was an old truck parked on side of the house along with a camper topper. We weren’t sure if there were people inside the house when we arrived. There were ants all over the drive way. Once we entered the house it smelled like cigarette smoke. The carpet hadn’t been vacuumed. There was a thick covering of dust the furniture. The sliding glass door didn’t open and was not cleaned. It looked like a dog licked the inside of the door and it was never cleaned. All of the screens on the windows were shredded. We could open the windows for air and there were no ceiling fans. My son has allergies and was sneezing right when we walked into the house. The dishwasher was broken so we even if we wanted to cook or have coffee we would have to hand wash the dishes. We didn’t feel comfortable staying in this house and ended up driving home. We were only in the house for 15 minutes. Terrible experience for our family. We tried calling the local host and he never returned our phone calls, text messages or emails.

Old and not kept up

The first thing we noticed when we arrived were a huge amount of large ants, there was no way we could sit outside or enjoy the outside without having large ant crawl all over us. Getting into the house was easy (the code is long like a phone number) the house is older, which was expected but not 100% clean and the house was hot and muggy. The kitchen was clean but the carpet in the master had things left on the floor like fur or or something else and to be honest I didn't want to investigate further. The first night we were there the house was so hot, I reached out to the person listed on the site, I got no response from him, VBRO sent me a text and I did get them to respond, the house doesn't have any type of fans to move air and opening the windows is almost impossible as most of the screens have holes in them and the mosquitos are all over. The "backdoor" is not really useable to allow air in to the living area, the screen is destroyed and there are ants all over the back patio, we never opened the back door and we found ants in the living area! The bathrooms are old and have never been updated, the master shower worked fine but there were bugs (beetles) in the bathroom, not scary just creepy. The other shower was unusable, the shower head just put off a mist of water making it impossible to shower. The house stated it had a blow dryer I could not find one. The grass had not been mowed and taking my dog out was challenging. I found mouse dropping in the house.
