About this property

Walk To Kennebunkport Village & Enjoy Quiet & Waterfront

With frontage on the water, our home is 2,500 sq. feet with 4 bedrooms sleeping 10, 2 full baths and 2 1/2 baths. Open concept living room and kitchen overlooks the cove at Dock Square Kennebunkport. You can walk to all the restaurants and shops. Kennebunk Beach is a bike ride away (1 mile). And there is a beach shuttle stop walking distance from our home.

Drive down the dirt driveway to our secluded 1-acre yard on the water with a dock. The deck awaits you for early morning coffee. Later in the day, pull up a chair on the screen porch for an evening of games with your family. Or enjoy a fire pit while sitting on the deck listening to the summer bands in Dock Square. Bring your kayak or you can use ours.

AN IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT GOOGLE MAPS.

Our old address was 160 Port Road which was a dirt driveway shared by 3 homes. The town renamed it to Cattail Path which is not in Google Earth yet. If you use Google Earth for the location you will see a house that is at the end of our dirt driveway. That is not our house, we are behind it. Please see the google-map.pdf we have uploaded on this site to get a better view of our location.

Another great weekend!
A group of friends and I rented Martha’s house for a weekend for the 4th year in a row. Once again, we had a great experience… beautiful, clean, well-equipped home in a great location. Martha is always a pleasure as well. Wonderful experience from every regard!

8 of us stayed in this beautiful home celebrating our 70th birthdays! Martha is a perfect host and her house is magnificent! It is beautiful, private yet walking distance to the heart of Kennebunkport. All the beds are very comfortable, and the home is full of amenities and things to do. Martha has thought of everything to make your get away perfect!

Nothing less than amazing
Our 2 weeks we spent at Martha's home was cozy, clean, and nothing less than amazing. I can't say enough good things about the location, the set up of the house itself and how easy it was to communicate with Martha the entire time. I let her know the ages of my children and she basically built an itinerary for us based on her experiences! The house has anything and everything you could need. We will absolutely be staying here again!

Beautiful Property!
We are a family of 7 adults and we thoroughly enjoyed our week in this beautiful and spacious home. I think the porch was our most favorite part! We loved walking to town for morning coffee and afternoon ice cream. We had great beach days (and shopping days too). Super fun to take a kayak and paddle board out from the property dock. The view of Kennebunkport Village from the backyard and upstairs windows is beautiful, especially at night. Communication with Martha is super easy. We are thankful she shares her amazing home with others!

A fabulous home.

Simply a beautiful home in a perfect location
If you are planning a trip to Kennebunkport, look no further than this property. This is a spacious, clean, serene waterfront home tucked away but walkable to all the shops/restaurants. Martha was very responsive (locked ourselves out one time!) and she has decorated this home beautifully. Thank you so much Martha!

What a beautiful spot. A bright open kitchen and living room and dining room. It was a great place for the family to play games. And enjoy eachother. The house is clean and tastefully decorated and just really beautiful. The host Martha is fantastic. I would definitely stay here again. A quick walk into town and two restaurants. We absolutely loved it here.

A puzzle-filled weekend in late winter
My friends and I (mid40s) stayed at the property during a late season snow storm. The kitchen and dining/living areas are wide open and great for a group. Bedrooms are upstairs away from the general living space, so early bedtime friends could escape. A great place!

Wonderful Weekend Away
We had the best weekend away here! There were 6 of us who had not been together in years so we celebrated engagements, birthdays, etc. - and the property was perfect. The kitchen, living and dining was our home base as we ate, drank and played monopoly. The space was so lovely with wonderful views. We did venture out for dinner each night and it was great to simply walk into town and not worry about transportation. The location of the property - you’re in the mix of everything, but the lot feels so private. We would definitely book again!

My cousins and I get together yearly and we chose Martha's place as our destination this year! Martha's house exceeded our expectations. We loved her beautiful, very clean and very spacious house. All of us agreed, it was the best house rental ever! We enjoyed the kayaks, the back porch, the proximity to Kennebunk and all the amenities. We walked everywhere. Martha was the best part of the week. Prior to our visit, we reached out to her often and she gave us fabulous recommendations for activities, restaurants, etc. She was very quick to reply on every request. 5 +++++ STARS for Martha! I would HIGHLY recommend this rental!

Special Place in Kennebunk, ME
This home is very attractive, well-kept, and extremely comfortable. It is close to Kennebunkport, Kennebunk beaches, restaurants, shops, and stores. We had a very enjoyable family gathering with 5 grandchildren and left with fond memories. The owner was highly responsive to questions, making our stay easy and pleasant. A terrific VRBO experience.

Great girls trip
Travelling with a group ladies on a road trip and this was the perfect place to stop and play along the way. The home is amazing and offers many activities, wish we could have stayed longer. Enjoyed our stay at Martha’s house. Group of 10 had plenty of room and the house was very clean. We utilized the outside areas and the screened porch, with views of the dock square bridge. Gorgeous and stylish home in Kennebunk!
We had a fabulous time staying at this beautiful home with our family. The location was perfect for walking to the Old Port. The home was well-equipped, and the furnishings were stylish and comfortable. Martha recommended the Rugosa lobster boat tour, which was our trip's highlight! So fun and informative. Beautiful Place with Great Views
This was a beautiful house with great views of the river. It was spacious and the property is gorgeous. It’s in great walking distance to the town. My criticisms were that none of the beds were made upon arrival. Also the laundry detergent used on the sheets was very strongly scented which is tough for people with allergies. Overall I would definitely recommend this place!

This is a rare location, 1 acre of privacy, on the tidal basin and still walking distance to everything Kennebunkport has to offer. Watch the twinkling lights of Dock Square from our porch at night while listening to the birds in the surrounding woods. We have a private dock that you can swim or launch our kayacks and stand up paddle boards from to enjoy the water.

What makes this property unique

The space is open concept with two wings of bedrooms (2 at each end). This allows for great family gatherings or a shared vacation plan. There are 2 full and a 1/2 bathroom upstairs as well as a 1/2 downstairs.
