Boomsage cabin was one of the best cabins I've ever stayed in. The home and property is beautiful, it was the perfect size for our family. If you have a medium to large size group you want to stay near Lake Monroe, this cabin can't be beat.
Nice and private. Very clean!
Watched a doe with her little fawn on the property.
Responsive host.
Hot tub was wonderful.
We went there to ride our bicycles on the Milwaukee Trail, but the trail turned out to be too rough and gravely for us to enjoy.
Nice, safe area with very friendly people. Ate at the Apron Springs Diner. It was the cheapest breakfast that we've had in years!
We were in town for my son’s wedding, who lives in Bedford. There were six of us and the house was perfect for our needs; big well equipped kitchen, large tables and a large living room.
We got about 4-6” of snow during our stay and it was beautiful. We enjoyed watching the deer with the binoculars.
We were both impressed and thankful for the property manager’s responsiveness to clearing the snow from the driveway.
It was a little inconvenient only having one shower but we made it work for our needs.
Overall it was a great trip and we plan to be back.
Four college friends (now moms) met here and it did not disappoint! Our goal was to relax, reconnect with each other and be free of responsibility. I was pleasantly surprised as there was coffee, creamer, aluminum foil, ziploc, etc. Most places do not have these, and whether they were simply leftovers from previous renters - I was appreciative! The hot tub was relaxing, the TV was equipped with lots of streaming options, the kitchen utensils lacked nothing, the beds were comfortable - really no complaints at all!
This cabin is beautiful, and you can’t beat the views. I did have to message the property manager a few times about some cleanliness issues (used/unmade bed, which I was told that closet was supposed to be locked, however it wasn’t, the second bed in the room my daughter slept in had what appeared to be period blood on the sheets, so again, not clean linens, the fridge/ freezer was dirty too. Other than those issues, everything was perfect.
I did take photos of the issues, and video walk through when we arrive and when we left.
The host seems very nice, but my messages were not working in the app for some reason, I only had the property managers text number. Even with those issues, this was an amazing rental. Plenty big enough for larger groups, and almost anything you need is supplied.
I love the thoughtful items that were left out, like coloring books and crayons.
We saw so many deer, and this time of year gave the best views with the different colored leaves.
Over all, the stay was great and the property can’t be beat.
