About this property
Farmhouse Guest Retreat w/huge jetted tub for 2
This suite is part of the new guesthouse portion of our home. Our charming home was originally built in 1936 (by a wonderful couple I was blessed to know) but has since undergone many additions and remodels. We are in love with it and the gorgeous mountains surrounding us. With hiking/mountain biking trailheads < 1 mile away, reservoirs, rivers, and ski resorts close by, there's plenty to get out and do, or just enjoy our farmhouse retreat and over an acre of grass, fruit trees, and gardens.
The space
Huge tub that easily accommodates 2! Easiest checkout- we do the work for you.(Note: This private suite is up one flight of stairs, and cannot accommodate pets due to my own severe allergies.) Located in the beautiful community of North Ogden, a few miles from downtown Ogden, nestled right up next to the mountains. We designed this as a 'Farmhouse Retreat.' Everything is soft from the water to the carpet, towels, blankets, sheets, and pillows. We used cedar fence post slats from our own yard to build the pallet wall, and involved our children and neighbors in the building and decorating. We love meeting new friends, and sharing food from our mini-farm and kitchen when requested. We worked to create a space that is calm and relaxing, a memorable experience as comfortable as we could imagine. We have an artesian well that feeds a little rock drinking fountain in our front yard. I drank out of it as a child on my frequent bike rides around town. We have a large garden and mini orchard, and gorgeous mountain views. There is even a "Little Library" in our front yard in case you want to borrow or take a book!
Guest access
Free parking is available on the street for larger vehicles, even a big box truck if needed. Free parking for up to 2 vehicles is available behind the home right next to the guest entrance.
Other things to note
Guests have a private bedroom, kitchenette, and bathroom. Guests also have access to a small sitting area just outside the room with two chairs next to a window, and a shared laundry room.
~Noise is usually fairly minimal, and quiet hours are observed.
~The room includes its own thermostat and heating/cooling units.
~No pets or children please other than babies. (Portable crib available upon request.)
~I do offer 2 different “PAMPERING PACKAGES” for those who are interested.
Option A: $10
-2 chocolate truffles on your pillows
-soothing/romantic fireplace with music playing on the tv when you arrive
Option B: $30
-All of Option A plus:

About the host
Your host

I grew up just up the street. I love being close to the mountains and living in this safe, peaceful bedroom community. I love music, family, friends, hiking, cooking, reading, and playing games.
Why they chose this property
I love the close proximity to downtown, but I especially love the mountains. My happy place is hiking, climbing, kayaking, taking pictures, and taking scenic drives in the mountains right next door.
What makes this property unique
Our guests often mention feeling like they are comfortable and safe under the umbrella of our happy peaceful home. I know and love the couple that started this little homestead back in 1936. It has a special feeling about it, and we did our best to build our guest suite to reflect the farmhouse style and comfort that makes this a true Retreat!
