Incredible Oasis of fun!
The houseboat is located on an incredible 60 acre property, right on the river. The drive through the property provides you with incredible views of the property & doesn’t disappoint when the houseboat comes into view! Ample parking, lg storage unit, outdoor fire pit and sauna (we used it 2 times per day), with a draw bridge that leads you to the houseboat. At night gorgeous string lights make it all look magical. Houseboat is very spacious, with high end finishes & every amenity you may need is provided. River view from the sliding doors is breathtaking day/night & cooking inside on the amazing gas stove or outside on 1 of the boat deck bbqs makes meals simple and easy. Outside kayaks/canoes (with all required safety gear) is provided with multiple entry points at the larger dock. We did a 2 hr kayak ride up the river- not seeing a sole or other property’s, lunching on a beautiful sandbar enjoying the incredible nature landscape. Ride back was fast as the current of the lake helps ease you along. Hiking the property was amazing with various routes to take. (We did the river walk, hike to see the new Glass Orb being built and up to the lookout which gives you and amazing view of Lake Vernon and the ski hill!). Disc golf is also provided on a course that is spread out over the acreage. Huntsville is minutes away to enjoy shopping, music & restaurants. Hosts are incredible from booking to the minute you depart. Totally a repeat destination spot worth 5 stars!

About the host

We moved to Muskoka 14 years ago when we decided it was the perfect place to raise a family. We are proud parents of 4 girls and absolutely love living in Huntsville.

We are new to hosting, but feel honoured to introduce to the relaxing lifestyle of being in Muskoka.

Why they chose this property

We searched for the ideal property that had a rural location yet close to town. When we discovered this property with it's 2 storey log cabin - it just felt like a perfect fit for an active family who enjoy the outdoors.
As our family grew we moved out of the log cabin and built our home next door on the same property.

What makes this property unique

The Floating Home is moored on the Big East River with nature views in all directions. You can fish right from your deck, or hop in a kayak or canoe and discover the wild side of life up and down the river.
We have 60+ acres of rugged forested hills with the Big East River meandering along part of the border. You can go for hikes along the nature trails we have carved through the forest, hike up to the Lookout Point which provides and expansive view over the countryside and Lake Vernon. Nature surrounds you with the calls of song birds, the rustle of small animals scurrying away in the forest, the breeze singing through the leaves..... Bring your camera .... deer, foxes, wild turkeys and the occasional bear just might give you that perfect photo to show your friends and family.
Muskoka is a year round playground from hot summer days to snowy winter nights there is so much to do and discover.
