Casual elegance and natural beauty located at 4,000 feet in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. This custom built home is located on the 'Summit' in the private, gated community of Cedar Hill. Cedar Hill is located on Hwy. 64 between Cashiers and Sapphire Valley.

This perfect mountain vacation home offers four comfortably appointed guest suites. Two guest suites are located on the main level of the home, each with a queen bed and private bath. A third guest suite is located upstairs and has two twin beds and a Smart TV with DVD player. The master suite, also on the second floor, is designed for privacy. It features a queen bed, gas fireplace, walk-in closet and Smart TV with DVD player. The large master bath comes complete with a double lavatory, separate shower and antique claw-foot soaking tub.

Ideal for entertaining, the main level of the home offers a large open kitchen, dining area and great room with knotty pine cathedral ceilings, floor-to-ceiling rock fireplace, Smart TV, VCR/DVD player and stereo.

The fully equipped kitchen features custom oak cabinetry and Corian counter tops. The Frigidaire Gallery appliances include a double oven, microwave, dishwasher and a five-burner gas cook top. The hand crafted, heart pine dining table seats eight.

Choose the swing or one of the rocking chairs on the large, post & beam porch to sit and enjoy the cool mountain air and breathtaking long-range mountain views. A gas grill and teak table & chairs are also available for outdoor dining.

The porch, main level of the home and one bedroom and bath are handicap accessible.

The Cashiers Township is located on the Cashiers-Highlands Plateau at the southern crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains, 3500 feet high surrounded by mountains rising to over 5000 feet. Cashiers is only minutes from Sapphire Valley, Highlands and High Hampton and within easy driving distance to Brevard, Asheville, The Great Smoky Mountains National Park and The Blue Ridge Parkway.

The Cashiers-Highlands Plateau abounds with natural beauty and diversity. It is the only Alpine Rain Forest east of Oregon and known for its exceptional hiking and many waterfalls, including the 411 foot Whitewater Falls - the highest in the eastern United States.

Other nearby attractions include great restaurants, antique shopping, golf, skiing, fishing, boating, whitewater rafting, tennis, horseback riding, gem mining and much more.

Family Getaway

This property is at the top of the mountain. From the back deck there is a 270 degree view of mountain tops. The view of the sunset is awesome. The description of the property on the VRBO site is perfect. We got exactly what we expected. The communication and response from the owner was excellent.

Christmas getaway

We had 7 adults and teenagers in our group. The property is lovely and spacious. The pictures do not do it justice. It was much nicer in person! The neighborhood is very nice and I did not feel "too close" to the other homes. The bedrooms were roomy with comfortable beds and linens. The kitchen was clean, well organized and had all of the things we needed for cooking. Many of the shops and restaurants in Cashiers were not open during the week between Christmas and New Year's Eve so we drove over to Highlands several times. There are a number of nice hiking trails and natural things to explore close by.

Lovely view in noisy neighborhood

The view is really the best part of this house. It is situated in a congested neighborhood. The one road is quite busy and right outside the front door so a constant presence. Construction is going on (Sept 2020). The construction trucks start running up the road about 7am. The hammering and banging are constant. The whining table saws are very loud. The noise carries on until about 5:30. The racket makes the house very unrestful. All bedrooms have an attached bath—a positive. The house is minimally equipped. Plenty of dishes & glasses, but be sure to take any paper products you might need and soap for the baths.

Idyllic Mountain Setting

This is a wonderful cozy mountain home with a beautiful view of the mountains across the ridge. It's a brief drive to the town of Cashiers but you feel very isolated.

Visited with spouse and friends and the Great room was perfect for the group to hang out, relax and cook together. Bedrooms were great as well. Location was fantastic! Would definitely recommend!

Perfect setup for groups

I was tempted to give this property a bad review...to make sure no one gets in my way when I need to rent it again! This is truly the perfect spot in the NC mountains. It’s clean, the kitchen is incredibly well stocked (we ate out only one night of the seven we were there), every bedroom has its own bathroom, the location is very convenient to “downtown” Cashiers and 20 minutes in several directions for fabulous hiking (especially beautiful waterfall hikes), and the view off the back porch is spectacular! The photos of the house definitely don’t do it justice—probably the only rental I’ve ever had where real life was better than the pics rather than vice-versa. Wade, the owner, is very responsive. Great experience all the way around!

I think we are now spoiled for all other mountain rentals. We were awed by the view- the location was wonderful. The home was cozy and great for relaxing with family. Honestly it was perfect. One point- our truck had no problem climbing the well paved roads ( in a beautiful neighborhood) but my sons 4 cylinder corolla was not so happy. We just used the truck once we landed. Also- wow wow wow on the hiking and the whole area. First time staying in Cashiers and we will return!

Great Family Getaway

Perfect home in the Cashiers - Highlands area of N.C.. Plenty of space, bedrooms and bathrooms for family of 6 to spread out and relax. Terrific views from the back porch. Fully equipped kitchen for family meals and easy ride into town for any necessities. Loved all the nearby options for hiking with plenty of waterfalls to visit. Wade was very helpful with initial reservation and getting situated upon arrival. Terrific visit!

Very comfortable and the view is extraordinary. The house is very clean and well appointed. My only caution would be the very steep,windy drive up to the house. It is fine during the day, but a little scary after a glass of wine or two.

All the Comforts of home with amazing views

It was such a blessing this house was available with such a late booking in the season, our family enjoyed a lovely stay. A wonderful gated community and private central location to Major hiking and waterfalls, and our favorite Ingles grocery store. A plus that the owner is so readily available, even during the holidays which made even the smallest glitches perfectly manageable. Despite the freezing cold temperatures we enjoyed warm fires, hot baths, and a beautiful full moon rising, and then setting early in the morning behind the mountain from a view of the back porch...... hoping to return and enjoy some warmer weather and those rocking chairs and porch swing ....Storybook setting!

A perfect family get-a-way!

We spent Thanksgiving here with our family and loved every minute. The view was beautiful, and we enjoyed watching the sunsets each evening. The home was very comfortable and in a beautiful neighborhood. We enjoyed lots of hiking, dining and shopping in Cashiers and Highlands, and the owner was quick to reply to any questions we had. We would love to stay here again!
