Set on 52 acres of private forestland, Ptarmigan Village is truly unique in the area. It is a completely non-commercialized, quiet mountain resort…a little 'cabin' in the woods in Montana! This beautiful townhome is just minutes from the quaint resort town of Whitefish and Big Mountain Resort.

Ptarmigan offers the largest units in the area (1200+ sq. ft.) with wood-burning fireplaces and FREE firewood. This unit is in a fantastic location in the Village…a 2 minute walk to the newly upgraded tennis courts, children's playground, and the new AMAZING indoor pool/sauna and outdoor hot tub! The Village also features a nice warm newly updated outdoor pool, a stocked fishing pond, and hiking trails.

On the main level, there is a full bath, a fully equipped kitchen and a living room. On the lower level, there are 2 bedrooms and a full bath. One bedroom has a king-size bed and other one has 2 sets of bunk beds - perfect for the kids. In the loft, there is a queen-size log bed and a portable A/C unit for those warm summer nights. Surrounded by lush, gorgeous pine trees, Pine Haven features vaulted ceilings, large bright windows, and a FANTASTIC, huge, new deck with a BBQ. Enjoy the privacy from this deck!

During the winter, world-class skiing at a family-friendly resort beckons you, and in the summer, you'll find hiking, biking, and a host of other activities available at Whitefish Mountain Resort and beyond. Pine Haven in Ptarmigan Village is located a short drive to many local destinations including Glacier National Park and numerous lakes, rivers, state parks, hiking, and cross-country skiing trailheads.

Please come and have a good time, but be aware that behavior that is disrespectful or disruptive will result in forfeiting the remainder of your stay. No pets. No parties. No smoking is allowed on the property. Absolutely NO fireworks on Big Mountain.

*IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING GLACIER NATIONAL PARK. Tickets must be purchased to travel on Going-To-The-Sun Road from May through September.

Everything was easily accessible but also provided a beautiful quiet spot to relax after exploring all day! The beds were comfortable and space was quiet. The cabin had all the necessities you need, just as advertised. The grounds were clean. Very enjoyable. Would recommended!!

Great stay!

We loved staying here! The cabin was spacious and accommodated the four adults and four kids very well. Comfy beds, plenty of supplies, and a beautiful compound made this a stay we will likely repeat. Thank you to the wonderful hosts!

We enjoyed our stay. Comfortable, clean and well stocked. It was great for our family. Could easily sleep 8. The only negative was the short distance from the events of the wedding we were attending. May not be for the elderly with the spiral stairs. The bedrooms were all only accessible by using the stairs.

Stunning quiet setting

This home was perfect. It was lovely to get there and quiet. Felt like camping but we had every comfort we could want or need. The beds were comfortable and the sheets so soft. My kids loved the option to swim while staying in a cabin. We were there to visit glacier and it was a little further than I had hoped but a beautiful comfortable stay.

Fantastic Stay

Great townhome located as part of a community on the Big Mountain. Indoor pool is just a 1 minute walk away. We used this as our home base for our Glacier trip. Would recommend to anyone.

Amazing Vacation spot

My family agrees that Ptarmigan Village was a great spot to spend our vacation. Glacier National Park was our destination, and Whitefish was the perfect home for us for 6 days in May!! Also our hosts were very quick to answer questions and to help with problems that arose. They were great

Great place to stay!!

This was such a great property! Perfect for our family of 5. Plenty of room, and we loved that it was close to the pool! Very cozy, and had anything you might need to enjoy your stay. Our biys especially loved the "secret toy closet"! Such a fun cozy space for them to play. This property is also in a great location. We loved that Whitefish mountain was only 5 minutes away, and town was only about 10 minutes away. We stayed in the spring, and would love to come back in the summer ans explore some more!

Perfect Family Getaway

This cabin is the perfect size for a family of 4-6 people. It has a good amount of space, fantastic amenities, and is in a great location. Personally, my family enjoyed the outdoor patio with the gas-fueled campfire. It is just close enough to the town of Whitefish that you do not feel as though you have to make a long trek into town, and yet it is so close to the mountain resort that it takes not time at all to get there. If you are looking to do a ski vacation to Whitefish, I would highly recommend this property.

Great place for a ski trip

This place was perfect for a ski trip because it was super close to Whitefish Mountain. My kids loved the pool which had a shallow area that was perfect for my 2 year old.

Cozy Mountain stay

We came for a little ski vacation but the weather was so cold we weren’t able to. We were glad to have the cabin to hang out in. It was very well stocked and roomy for our group of 5. The beds are super comfy. We’d stay here again!
