You’ll have all that you need to entertain with a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and plenty of places to gather. There’s a living room, loft, wrap-around deck, office space, “Juliet” balcony of the master bedroom, and backyard with fire pit.

Bailey Bear Haus has plenty of space for you and your friends and family!

We are also a short drive from many local wedding venues and adventures!

In addition to other wonderful gathering spaces, Bailey Bear Haus has a delightful master suite on the top floor with balcony, and a full bathroom including a shower as well as a tub with jets. Relax in your private space and enjoy the warmth of an electric fireplace and watch your favorite movies on the Smart TV.

Also on the top floor is a loft with ample seating for your family to watch a movie, play board games, or for you to read a book in front of the large windows with mountain views.

On the main level, enjoy time spent gathering in the living room by the gas fireplace, sharing a meal in the dining area, or gazing at the stars out on the deck! A fully equipped kitchen awaits you. This floor also boasts a beautiful bedroom with forest views, and a delightful bathroom with heated floors. The wraparound deck also has ample seating for relaxation as well as a dining table.

Take a few steps off the deck and enjoy the fire pit and dining area in the backyard!

On the ground level, there is an office/kids room that is perfect for separation, or a more cozy feel. You can work remotely, or send the kids to play while you read a book upstairs. Or play with the kids! It’s cozy and carpeted, so make the space your own. The garage and owner’s closet with washer and dryer are also on this floor. You are more than welcome to use the washer and dryer during your stay, free of charge, just ask us for the code.

Whether you’re looking for a local stay close to one of the many wedding venues nearby, looking to escape the city and work remotely for a bit, hoping to explore the wilderness and front Range from a central location, or traveling from a far to spend a vacation in the mountains, we really hope you enjoy your time at Bailey Bear Haus and look forward to having you as a guest!

Bailey Bear Haus is a three-story log cabin and you’ll have access to the whole place. Make this your home away from home and enjoy the many indoor and outdoor living spaces we have to offer you as well as several places for you and your family to sleep after a day of adventure.

We live just about an hour away and can come up in the case of an emergency. We’ll send you the welcome guide upon booking, and will be available for you to contact before your stay with any questions. Prior to check in, we’ll send helpful reminders including access instructions and directions. During your stay, we’ll check in and see how you’re doing, and you’re of course always welcome to ask questions about the place when you’re there. We want to make this your best stay ever.

The main entrance is on the deck, and is the best way to enjoy walking into your beautiful stay! Simply park your car(s) in our large parking area and walk on the pathway to the deck.

Take caution when there is snow on the road. Bailey Bear Haus is right off a county paved road but it does get steep and slick in the winter time. You need AWD and solid tires on some of the roads to ensure a safe trip! Also, we do note it in other areas, but take care not to leave food in your cars since it might attract unwelcome guests.

We are close to several nearby wedding venues, including:
-13 mins to Deer Creek Valley Ranch
-13 minutes to Deer Creek Mountain Camp
-20 minutes to Mountain View Ranch
-20 minutes to Meadow Creek Lodge & Event Center

Perfect stay for our family getaway!

Our first time staying in a log cabin in the mountains. It was wonderful! There is an abundance of amenities, the decor and accommodations are very welcoming, the views are amazing and atmosphere so peaceful, and Michael is a very attentive and considerate host! We loved our stay and hope to go back someday :)

Picture Perfect!

We wanted a cozy cabin in the mountains with mountain views, and we got exactly that and more! The cabin had everything we needed, and the host checked in to make sure things were going well or if we had questions. We absolutely loved our stay and can't wait to visit again!

Mountain Oasis

My husband and I stayed at Bailey Bear Haus with my mil & three kids (9,6,4). Cons: - The cabin is a bit out of the way. About 15 minutes outside of Bailey proper, and 20 minutes from the nearest Safeway/King Sooper's in Conifer. If you plan to stay at the cabin for the entirety of your trip, stock up on your food/essentials so you don't have to go back and forth into town. A Loaf & Jug gas station & Dollar General are about 10 mins. from the cabin. - The basement level has bunk beds, but it was uncomfortably cold. We expected our boys to sleep down there, but they ended up sleeping in the top floor loft (1 on the couch, and 2 on a pallet on the floor) outside of the master. With little kids, this wasn't much of an inconvenience, but it might be for older/bigger people. A space heater downstairs would make all the difference. - While not an issue for us, the 2 TVs are on the top level only. One in master, one in loft at top of stairs. Pros: - Very clean - Detailed and easy to follow instructions - Spacious for our crew of 6 - Loved the bluetooth speaker on main level - Outside gas fire pit was perfect for s'mores - Views off the balcony & upper level loft were great for drinking coffee in the mornings and relaxing in the evenings - Excellent communication with host, Michael. He even called me before our stay to give sightseeing & fishing ideas. - Easy peasy checkin/checkout. An overall wonderful stay in a beautiful setting. Would definitely recommend!

About the host

Hi there! I'm Michael, your host, and while I grew up in Minnesota, I always knew that Colorado might one day be my home. From spring breaks to summers with my grandma Donna at her place in Estes Park to road trips with my mom, I knew that the mountains were the place to be!

I'm a music teacher in Denver, and absolutely love what I do. That said, time away from it all is important - probably the very reason you're considering a stay at our place! The opportunity to have a cabin in the mountains is one that we are lucky to have, and we want to share it with others.

We love to hike, ski, camp, and spend time outdoors, and hope you are looking forward to your stay at Bailey Bear Haus!

Why they chose this property

We chose Bailey because of its proximity to Denver AND a variety of outdoor activities. Red Rocks is EASILY accessible (same distance from our cabin as Denver proper), you're close to Guanella Pass, Mt. Blue Sky, and a lot of hiking and outdoor opportunities. Harris Park is a little more secluded from the highway hustle and bustle of Bailey itself, so we absolutely love it here!

What makes this property unique

Bailey Bear Haus is a TRUE log cabin! The entire outside of the home, aside from the foundation, is FULL logs! And we had them completely resurfaced in the Summer of 2022, so everything is in great shape. There are plenty of mountain properties that are beautiful, but very few as beautiful as a true log cabin in the woods. We have several GIANT ponderosa pines on our property, a variety of other conifers, and you are surrounded by an aspen grove. I also went a little crazy with the wildflower seeding a few summers ago, so it's... it's truly a magical place!
