Often referred to as the Main, the Saint-Laurent Boulevard is a one of a kind cultural, creative and innovative attraction that is animated all day and all night.

Home to more than 700 businesses and organizations between Sherbrooke and Laurier. This is the heart of the city!

Montreal is a great walking city, my place is right in the center of everywhere you want to be so you have everything close by.

If you need to adventure further away there is day and over night city bus that runs on Saint Laurent street, with a stop right on the corner, it comes often and consistently. I am about 12 minute walk from Sherbrooke or Saint Laurent Metro.

-My check-in window closes at 12 AM, after which check-in is still possible but fast replies are not guaranteed. Maybe I am sleeping after midnight. Please read the instructions I send you ahead of time, and have them on hand when you arrive. If you plan to arrive outside the check-in window you are responsible to follow ahead of time.

-If you must receive any mail or packages during your stay please contact me first. I have a convenient solution arranged for you. My mailbox is not shared with my guests.

-I am often out of town but my housekeepers can tend to your needs. If you need anything, please contact me and I will let my housekeepers know to assist you. However, they may need some time to arrive.

-Although the apartment has excellent soundproofing, there may be some sounds of the city and construction as the apartment is located in the downtown city center. If there is expected construction noise, I always adjust my prices to reflect the same (so you might grab a great discount in these cases).

-The building manager or maintenance persons may need access to the property in very rare circumstances. They have the right to access it for the purpose of civic inspections, emergencies, or urgent repairs. I always notify guests in advance to the best of my abilities.

If the reservation is cancelled and qualifies for a refund according to the cancellation policy, a 3.5% payment processing fee will be deducted from the refunded amount.
We want you to have a great time during your stay! While rules aren’t fun, they help ensure comfort for everyone. Most guests are wonderful, so enjoy the apartment and relax!

Not exactly as pictured

Neighborhood is a lil rough. Lots of homeless folks around. Street and foot traffic is loud most of the day and evening. Pictures of the unit are misleading as many lights in the unit do not work or are burnt out, the unit had holes in ceiling from what seems to be previous work done, but holes were not dry walled over. Unit was also a bit dusty. There was also no instructions on how to properly lock the unit when leaving (had to look it up) You’d be better off staying in a hotel for the price.

Excellent location

Easy to locate in Montreal. Close to many places that you can walk to. For example, the Basilque Notre Dame and the Royal Chalet and Park. Restaurants are close by and the suggestion for locating a parking spot is perfect.

Don't stay here.

We didn't have a good experience during our stay at this property. We got locked out of the property at 1AM - the code-operated lock no longer opened. The property manager (obviously a company, not an individual owner) never picked up the phone, we were stuck outside in the cold for an hour calling the property owner and VRBO. VRBO were useless, we were endlessly transferred then on hold for 30 minutes before the call cut. They never called us back to put us in a hotel or to check the situation was resolved. The property manager also never reached out to apologise for not answering. We will never use VRBO again, leaving paying customers locked out is unacceptable. Additionally, the apartment isn't great. It's clearly been purpose-renovated for short-term rentals. The furnishings and fixtures feel cheap, the kitchen is small and poorly-equipped, making cooking nearly impossible, and small things are implied in the listing but actually missing, like an HDMI cord for the pictured monitor. The price being equivalent to a hotel makes this an extremely bad-value stay. We wouldn't recommend staying here, or using VRBO at all. Just get a hotel or use the other website (VRBO is censoring their name), who will actually help you immediately if you're locked out.

A week at Plateau Mont Royal (Little Portugal)

Prime location (not technically downtown but I didn’t want to be downtown). Easy to walk to many sights and places to eat. The unit itself felt like a somewhat cheap hotel room. I spent some of my time working and had to manually reset the modem multiple times throughout my stay to get the wifi to work. The drain in the bathtub was clogged so each time I showered water collected in the bottom of the tub. And the futon was not comfortable for sitting at all. Bed did not have a duvet cover. Just two flat sheets over the duvet. Also, it’s a fairly noisy location due to traffic and its location above a busy restaurant with outdoor seating and across the street from a hardware store/lumber yard. If you’re used to city living then the noise is not so bad. Just be aware.

Ideal location to explore Montreal, great apartment too!

Matthew's place is ideally located on the main drag in Montreal, we couldn't have asked for a more convenient place to stay on our four day trip. It's a third floor walkup but super easy because the stairs are short and the door is right there on the street. We used the parking app he suggested and only had to walk about seven minutes to get the car. We used the car a few times during the trip to get to Old Montreal (maybe a 30 minute walk) and explore the countryside, but for the most part we were very close to all of the cool restaurants and things we needed. For me it was a huge bonus to have a supermarket right down the street. I cook a lot and the kitchen was also ideal for me. A lovely breeze with the windows open, and just enough street noise to get some local vibes without being too loud. Totally recommend the place and Matthew was super communicative during the whole process. A+++! street.
