About this property
Suite 2, Walk to Downtown
Experience Black Mountain from this beautiful location that is walking distance to downtown. We are just steps away from the vibrant Black Mountain Downtown Historic District, famous for its shops, restaurants, breweries and music venues. This charming one bedroom suite is on the lower level of the building. The entire town of Black Mountain is walkable, making this the perfect home base for your mountain adventure! This home is over 100 years old, and shows itself as such.
Black Mountain Lodge has five units, each with a separate entrance. The door for Unit 2 is on ground level located around the back of the building. The entry to this 659 sq ft space takes you to the kitchen, which is a generous size and includes a dining table. It is stocked with all the necessities you would expect for cooking and dining. The living room adjoins the kitchen, and has a large comfortable seating area to relax and enjoy some TV. There is a smart tv you can use to log into your streaming subscriptions. The bedroom and bathroom are just next to the living room. This space is our most “rustic” unit with a small screened in porch/entrance that is exposed to the natural elements.
We allow 1 well behaved pet, and if you bring them please be considerate of other groups in the building. Please no dogs that bark if you are away. Dogs must be in a crate if left alone. Keep dogs on a leash at all times when outside. Thanks!
Black Mountain is known for its natural beauty, small town charm and diverse collection of attractions. Walking in downtown Black Mountain is sensory medley of shops, restaurants, historic architecture, breweries and music venues, all set to a backdrop of stunning mountain scenery, friendly people and a slow paced Southern vibe. Local favorite restaurants include Louise's Kitchen, just down the block. Be sure to try out the small plates at Goldfinch, burgers at Trailhead Restaurant and Bar, Cousins Cuban and Thai Basil, all within a couple of minutes walking distance. For breweries within walking distance try Black Mountain Brewing and Lookout Brewing. For a great entertainment experience walk down to White Horse and catch a show.
A bit further afield you will find historic Black Mountain Town Square, beautiful Lake Tomahawk Park, and a whole host of other interesting eateries and shops. Be sure to visit nearby Montreat, home of Montreat Memorial Garden, Montreat College and some of the most beautiful scenery and homes in our area. For an unforgettable scenic drive, wander down Route 9 which will take you through Bat Cave and Fruitland to Hendersonville.
Our community is a favorite destination for mountain biking, hiking and all sorts of other outdoor activities. Pack your fishing gear, bring your boots, and come enjoy everything our area has to offer! We are only minutes away from many must-see local attractions. Biltmore Estate and downtown Asheville are only an 18 minute drive. You can get to the Blue Ridge Parkway Visitor Center in 15 minutes and the charming towns of Brevard and Hendersonville are both about an hour away.
Our location is perfect for groups who want to stay together while enjoying the privacy of having their own space. The front porch is the perfect place to gather, and Units 2 and 4 have some extra space that can provide a great indoor area for getting together with a few friends. Please feel free to rent more than one unit. Units 3 and 4 are opposite each other on the upper level, up some more steps from the front porch. They are ideal for people traveling together. Units 1 and 5 are both downstairs (You will still have some steps up the front porch to get to the entrances) and could be ideal for parents with kids who want a space of their own. With five units, you can mix and match to suit.
