About this property

As a start: Best Location. This condo is located in one of Coronado's most sought after avenues, Isabella. You are one block from the beach and one block from the commercial area, where you can find groceries, gelato, restaurants, the charming movie theater and small art galleries.

No need to ever drive when you can walk or go to the beach, in our storage unit we have beach chairs, mats, boogie boards, umbrella and fun gear that it has been selected for you for having fun at the beach; or you could go to the many parks with the picnic basket ready to go in the main closet.

One of the most unique qualities of Isabella is the light, bright, airy and cheery ambiance in its simple spacious floor-plan. It is located upstairs in the small quiet 5 condo complex, with no one below or above and with 2 assigned parking spaces. So, no worries with your car during busy Holidays or the typical sunny beach weather!

The pictures show what you will find: a cozy apartment that has all the light and comforts of a well equipped home with the amenities of a hotel, like towels, blankets and fun. The kitchen has all the appliances, prep knives, and serving dishes you would want. The living room has a good selection of books for all ages and board games, movies for the kids and the young at heart, too. Isabella is fully furnished, with two bedrooms, where four or up to five persons will feel very comfortable. It also offers a washer, dryer, and laundry soap in situ.

Beautiful Coronado

A great visit to Coronado and the condo was everything we had hoped it woud be. Great space for a couple, close to all the shops and restaurants, and of course the beach is right down the street. Thanks for having us Zoraida and we hope to be back.

Great Location!

Great location to the beach and Orange. Condo is adorable, very clean and well stocked. Owners are so sweet and very easy to work with. Zoraida checked in on us and both Zoraida and Gary were very quick to answer any questions.

Wonderful Coronado Stay

Isabella was a great apartment that was in the best location of any rental on the island. Additionally, Zoraida was an exemplary host who was available, if needed, for any questions. She went above and beyond after we left, sending some belongings in the mail that we had left behind. Will be back if we get the chance.

Best Location!

We were able to walk to the beach, or our favorite restaurants from this condo. The decor was colorful and charming. It was just my husband and myself, but it would be a perfect place for a family with young children. There were lots of books and games — and the condo had a happy vibe!

Comfortable and close to everything

This apt is two blocks from the beach and the village. We walked everywhere! Zoraida is very easy to work with and checked in on our stay a couple of times. It has the perfect "beachy" feel. Needs some upgrading in cookware and maintenance to make this a five star recommendation.

Home away from home!

We were instantly comfortable here. The location of this wonderful condo could not be better. You are with in walking distance to everything in Coronado. Strolling the beach or visiting the Hotel Del Coronado are just steps away. Owner was great, condo was stocked with everything we needed and more. We had 26 very relaxing nights in what I call Happyland. We hope to stay at Isabella again!

10 perfect days in Coronado

This is our last night of our 10 day vacation here in Coronado. How sad. But this has been a fantastic vacation for our family. And this suite has exceeded our expectations! It is clean, spacious, and cheery. The location could not be better. Thank-you Zoraida for making our accommodations so wonderful and for always answering our questions so promptly. This is the perfect place for us and our two girls (6 & 2 yrs), and we hope to be back.

Tropical Island Getaway!

Well, maybe not tropical, but Coronado Island is such a fantastic retreat in the middle of a large city. Experience "island life" at Isabella, with a short walk to a huge white sand beach, or excellent restaurants and shops. The condo is perfectly situated between these two, allowing you to park your car in your own off street lot, and use your feet to get around to all of your fun activities. Besides the white sand beaches, there is the famous Hotel Del Coronado, boutique shops, parks and excellent restaurants all within walking distance. If you would like to venture into San Diego, and don't want to get in your car, you can ride your bike to the ferry and enjoy the restaurants in Little Italy or the Gaslamp Districts. The Burger Lounge is fantastic, the ice cream at Nado Gelato is the best in the city, and it's hard to beat a sunset cocktail on the ocean front deck at the Hotel Del. The condo is fully equipped with everything you would need. It is comfortable and clean, with nice light. The perfect retreat after your day of exploration. Thank you Zoraida and Gary for such a wonderful vacation!

Another Fantastic Visit!!

My wife and I again stayed at this property for 3 months after staying last December. The location is perfect, 2 blocks from the beach, 1 block from 10th and Orange Ave, the heart of Coronado. The owners, Zoraida and Dan are very caring , often inquiring how our stay was going and asking if they could be of assistance in any way. A nicely decorated unit in the best of locations. Highly recommend!!

Perfect Location and Host!

Zoraida was fantastic - replied quickly and helped us along the way. The apartment is 1 block from Orange Av (main street in Coronado) and 2 1/2 blocks from the beautiful beach - perfect for experiencing Coronado. The apartment is quiet (except for the military aircraft) and peaceful. We enjoyed staying here for November. Would highly recommend it.

Perfect location near beaches and town center!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our month long stay at this wonderful property. It is colorfully decorated in a true island style and is comfortable and well supplied with all the essentials. Located one block from Coronado Beach and one block from the heart of town, the perfect place from which to enjoy the best of the Coronado lifestyle. Enjoy evening walks to the venerable Hotel Dell to enjoy its nightlife. As and avid bicyclist, the island provides easily accessible trails to ride up and down or around the Silver Strand and surrounding area. The owners are so accommodating and friendly, willing to assist if any issues arise. We enjoyed our stay so much we have already booked for 3 months next year! A true testament to the quality of this property and the experience to be enjoyed.

Excellent Location and Choice

We were so happy with our stay at Isabella. The condo is located just one block away from the beach and the dog beach, which our dog thoroughly enjoyed, is just few more blocks away. The location has easy access to the center of some fabulous shopping and restaurants and its location made this a very walk-able neighborhood with everything we needed. The condo was very accommodating and that included all of Zoraida's special touches and efforts to ensure guests have a satisfying stay at Isabella. This was a perfect choice for us and our 4 year old granddaughter who visited during our stay and really enjoyed the kids room that had many toys and books for her entertainment. This was a wonderful experience and we would highly recommend this condo as an affordable option on Coronada Island.

Fabulous stay in Coronado

I stayed in this condo in February. The weather was perfect, and the location ideal. I did not want to rent a car, and I did not need one. It was two blocks to the beach, and two blocks to Orange Avenue with plenty of shopping, restaurants and entertainment. Bus system was easily accesible , as was the ferry over to San Diego. The condo itself was lovely, and I especially appreciated the washer and dryer in the unit. The owners were very helpful and responsive to all questions and concerns. I made a great choice with this rental. Would consider going back!!

Ideal Location

We stayed in this condo in early August with our two small children. Location was very important to us since our kids are so young and we wanted them to be able to easily walk places. Whether you are an adult or a child, the perfect beach is 1.5 blocks, the Del Coronado is 2.5 blocks and town is .5 blocks. If you like parks, the park is about 4-5 blocks, but is very walkable from town or we used the two beach cruisers provided by the owners. The neighbors were very kind at the property and the owners were very accommodating. They checked on us to ensure we had what we needed and even made small gifts for our children. The condo complex is small so noise was not an issue. We go to Coronado every year and have typically rented a house. There are advantages to that, of course, but we did not feel lacking at all in this condo. I highly recommend Isabella.

Walk to the beach!

Our family is from Colorado and this was our children's first experience with the beautiful beaches of southern California and the Pacific Ocean. Our trip to Coronado could be easily considered the most fascinating and pleasing days we've ever spent traveling. Our satisfaction was only possible because of the great condo and amenities offered by Zoraida and Gary...which was totally receptive, energetic and kind. We spent almost a week vacationing at Isabella in June and during our stay we were provided with perfect food and entertainment recommendations that made our trip so much more enjoyable. For sure, we will never forget the sight of our children literally dancing on the beach and burying each other in sand and the many other moments that were responsible for the magic and scenic moments we shared as a family. If you're fortunate enough to visit Coronado Island, you won't be disappointed with this little slice of heaven just a short walk from the beach! This condo is pristine when it comes to cleanliness and having everything you could possibly need! We were so appreciative of the special touches of the fresh flowers, the coloring books for our children and the use of the beach gear in the storage area. THANK YOU, Zoraida and Gary for making our introduction to Coronado Island so magical! We'll be back!!

Lovely condo near the beach

The condo was inviting with bright artwork and comfortable furniture. It was a fabulous location one block from Coronado beach and a block from town in the other direction. We rode the bicycles which came with the condo everywhere and rarely used the car. Many wonderful restaurants are within walking distance and the ferry to downtown San Diego is an easy walk or bike ride away. Very relaxing vacation.

What a lovely spot!

The place is lovely and quiet, the bed is comfortable, the kitchen has all of the essentials, and the living space is more than adequate. Best of all though is the location...minutes by foot to the beach, the Del, and Orange Avenue. We will come back, and probably annually.

Home Away From Home

My husband, two daughters, and I stayed at Isabella for one week leaving the frigid cold Midwest winter behind us. The accommodations were excellent and although we were not able to meet Zoraida personally, she was quick to respond to any email or phone messages. I can only second what so many other reviewers have commented on: clean, cheerful and quiet condo located close to the beach, shopping, and many restaurants. Zoraida provides so many little things that you forget to bring but actually could use during your stay. We hope to return to Coronado Island and "Isabella" again.

I am a photographer, and my wife, who is originally from Argentina, is a Spanish language school teacher. I am also a musician (mandolin), and my wife is also a decorative artist, and now, back to school getting her Masters in American History. We both also love traveling. We have three kids, adult, college, and middle school ages, and we live in San Diego. We can help you in English, Spanish, or French.

Why they chose this property

We bought this property in 2011 and love it. Part of my family grew up in Coronado so I feel a special bond. We are constantly amazed that as soon as we enter Coronado we feel like we are on vacation. It really is more than a destination, it is a lifestyle that is immediately evident the moment you step onto the Island.

What makes this property unique

One of the things we enjoy most about being at our condo is the proximity to the heart of the Village and to the beach. Literally restaurants, shops, and the beach are minutes away.

If you are leasing Isabella: We hope that you enjoy the fresh, cheerful and relaxing ambiance that we try to create at our place.
Choose music from Gary’s wide selection of CDs. Once you have nice background music, you can start or continue to add new Spanish expressions to your vocabulary from Zoraida’s libros, and or read about Coronado history!
Also our kids selected a few games for you to enjoy too, or you can relax watching DVDs from the family collection.
Coronado has been gifted with wonderful weather year-around, so why don’t you go on a bike ride with the picnic basket and enjoy one of the beautiful parks, specially when they have live performances!
If you feel like going to the ocean, please go to the storage closet at ground level and you’ll find right next to the bikes all the beach gear needed to lay down on the beach, or try out a little boogie board adventure!!!
Please, think of Isabella as your ideal home away from home!!
