This property is located steps away from Lake McDonald. The property has nice appliances and had everything you would need. We really enjoyed our three night stay.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was clean, spacious and in a perfect location. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this property.
It was amazing to have high end accommodations in a fantastic location within Glacier National Park. It was a perfect location for a relaxing day at Lake McDonald or a quick drive to head onto GTSR for the day. It was absolutely wonderful!
Our family really enjoyed our stay. The place was very nice. Comfortable beds, and clean and a great location by Lake Mcdonald. The managers were super helpful if we needed anything. We would definitely stay again.
The property is wonderful! I appreciated you accommodating my request for Christmas decorations.Constructive comments- hardly any HOT water- you need to fix that! Shower stalls beautiful but not enjoyed with barely any HOT water- all 3 bathrooms also need serving dishes, cookie sheets/pizza pan
This is a great property. Well-furnished and equipped, including the kitchen. The host is very welcoming and accommodating. This property is a very good value.
It is a nice property in a great location. Both bedrooms had their own bath and were nicely done. Living room had a tv and gas fireplace. Deck was covered and overlooked the main road into the area. The unit is located on the third floor without an elevator. The unit was mostly clean except underneath the beds and the floors were a bit sticky.
Property was well kept with a good size kitchen and bedrooms. Great location. Went with friends who go to Glacier a lot and they were super impressed with actually being within the park. Property manager was nice and quickly responded and fixed a minor inconvenience. She also gave us a couple of recommendations for places to visit nearby. We would definitely stay there again. Cheers!
Apgar Lookout Retreat is a minute walk to Lake MacDonald. We could actually see it from our outdoor covered space. It's a charming little village and we caught it the weekend before many things closed. The accommodations are comfortable and roomy. Kitchen well appointed. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and nice except the FLOORS throughout were terrible - not clean/mopped for what seemed like weeks...vacuumed maybe, but they were sticky and gross. I wiped a wet paper towel on the floor in different rooms and they were all just really dirty. This made our stay way less comfortable than it could have been.
Note other reviews that mention the floor.
A note explaining the fireplace, heating and AC would have been nice.
Would stay again if floors dealt with.
Thank you.
Visited with our adult daughters who had different plans from us and we could accomplish all that becasue of the location. Very beautiful and modernized interior, the kitchen was a dream! And it is in the best possible location in Apgar - right above Eddie's cafe, and a minute away from Lake McDonald. When we checked in, there was a small mix up with the groceries we bought, and the manager went out of her way to compensate for us. Great service! As for the location, only downside is that being inside the park, you have to go quite a ways into one of the towns for getting any real groceries. But that can be overcome with planning. We loved our stay and the proximity to the shuttle, the visitors' center where we attended the star gazing, and the Blackfeet Indian presentation, so we could do many things without taking the car.
The home has everything you need and could ask for. A lot of amenities with the perfect West Glacier Location that is walking distance to Lake Macdonald and not too far away from the Going to the Sun Road.
Things to be mindful of that wouldn’t change my mind about staying here again:
1.) we stayed in cabin #2, but unfortunately you could hear everything happening in the cabin above us. It sounded like there was someone running laps above 🙂
2.) the bed was great, but the pillows were super soft. I know I’m being picky, but if you like a firmer pillow, I recommend you bring it.
3.) the town/management company is probably super busy and helpful once you connect with them, but we sent an email on Sunday and didn’t hear from them until the checkin day on Wednesday. Everything was perfect and no issues, but there was a communication delay and chalking it up to the busy season.
Even with the above, the home looks to be newly renovated and a great place to stay for a family of 5 (3 adults and 2 kids). It’s right above Eddies Cafe, a small grocery store and more importantly a delicious ice cream parlor.
