Group of 8 women, several enjoying first time to Put-in-Bay including 86 year old checking off a trip on her bucket list.
We found the property exceptionally clean, well supplied in kitchen, bedrooms and game room.
A very lovely home that was quite nice & we had a good time.
The most glaring problem was no hot tub as promised on the web site & no propane in the tank.
Other issues are not enough bathrooms for 12 people. Needs at least another 1/2 bath downstairs, especially not isolated to a suite. There is also not enough eating spaces together at a table except outside. Perhaps smaller chairs at dining room would allow at least 10 at a time, if the end spaces are utilized. Outside doors/exits that are not user friendly also is a safety issue. And only 1 tv with that many people staying is not very good either. Windows painted over & others that wouldn't close were an issue for the bedrooms
The record player was a hit with the teenagers fascinated by the workings & us oldsters approving of the music. The beds were very comfortable.
We love old houses and making them shine again! This is our third project property that was built in the 1800’s.
Why they chose this property
This neighborhood is beautiful. Large yard, two historic churches with church bells ringing. Walkable to downtown, yet far enough away to enjoy the large private yard and porches.
What makes this property unique
Home was built in 1875! We aren’t going the more “ heads in beds” route typical here on island, we are offering an upscale home with 6 private bedrooms. One being a first floor suite.
