DIRTY UNSAFE AND UNACCEPTABLE

Very disappointing. I booked this house for a wedding weekend for my daughter and a few friends. I asked in advance - and was assured that this was a safe and clean place for them to stay. It was not. The first sign of trouble was the old inside furniture and broken down cars that many of the neighbors use to decorate their yards. Do a Google search of the address and the area to see for yourself. When we arrived the digital door lock did not work and Rodney was not responsive in helping us get inside. After about 30 min we got in. We wanted the hard key to avoid being locked out later that night - but Rodneys “assistant” did not have the code to access it. I noticed the front door had previously been forced open as evidenced by the damaged door jamb. The house was dirty - someone or something chewed up the tacky fake fruit on the table - the tub was filthy - surfaces were grimy and there were dead and live roaches in the bedroom. We contacted Rodney’s assistant and told him the house was unacceptable and we wanted a refund. He ignored us. I tried to contact vrbo, but was unsuccessful. We left quickly as we needed to find and pay for another place to stay and had wedding events planned that evening. I contacted vrbo after the weekend and asked for assistance in getting a refund. Rodney agreed to refund our money when he spoke to vrbo - but then refused to follow through. ZERO STARS.

Horrible

We got to property and hoat wanted us to bring garbage in. Entered house and no bulbs in ceiling fan. So no light at all in living room. The only TV we had did not work. He had us troubleshoot and call tv company. My son spent all day with the dog and had nothingto do while we were at a wedding. The house was musty. We had no towels. I checked the dryer and they were all in there. Coffee maker did not work. The area was horrible and not safe. They in listing that there was a hot tub but it did not exist. All i got was a sorry this is out of our control. He should have offered to give us money back. I will be filling a complaint!! Do not say here!!!

Convenient for an overnight stay

The host was great. Very communicative on welcoming us and providing important information before our arrival. The house is comfortable and has the basic necessities for a rental. It is older and there is definitely some wear and tear. For a place to sleep and shower on a busy trip to Raleigh it was just what we needed.

Great location in Raleigh

Older home that’s has been restored. Very close to Red Hat Amphitheater and a short drive to the Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek. I came into town, with my furry side kick, for two nights to see Gary Clark Jr and Dave Matthews Band. Great communication from host. He checked in to make sure everything was okay during my stay. There was a fenced in yard to let my lil’ girl run, and throw frisbee. Quiet neighborhood and nice neighbors. I really enjoyed my stay!

In Raleigh for a concert

We came and stayed 2 nights. The home was very comfortable. It was our family of 4 & our dog and the accomodations were perfect. The fenced in & shady back yard was great when traveling with a pet. The host was friendly, kind, and provided timely and helpful instructions. Checking in and out was easy. We would absolutely return given the chance!

Very disappointed first VRBO stag

We reserved for 8 guests, because it said 3 bedrooms with queen bed and living room had a queen bed. Turns out living room they wanted you to sleep on uncomfortable airmatress. We rented a b&b, not a campsite. Only had 5 towels for 8 guests so we had to buy some at Wal-Mart. 2 guest decided to rent a motel because airmatress is not ideal for older adults. So this all costed our party more money. 1st night found giant roaches in bedrooms and kitchen. No hot tub and playground like advertised. Dog could run in fenced back yard, because gate didn"t close completely and there were big tree limbs down all over the back yard. Grass really needed mowed and bushes were very overgrown all around the house. The patio they have for 8 people to enjoy is a concrete slab with 2 outdoor chairs, no room for anything else. Kitchen table seets only 4. Couch and love seat we badly stained and disgusting. Hand rail going up on the porch is broken and falling apart. 1 bedroom door handle was broken off, so every time you shut door, it w9uld pull right off. 2 guest wouldnt stay after 1st night finding the roach bugs. The other 4 of us had to stay, because we were so busy we didnt have time to find another place to stay. I messaged the host, but his only reply was take out trash, put towels in bathtub, wash dishes, and lock the doors when we leave. If we used the key from lock box put it back or there will be $100 charge. He never gave us a code to get the key.

Needs repair work

The photos do not show the lack of maintenance-broken drawers, blind in kitchen. Someone had taken most of the bed pillows and although the owner tried to get us replacements it wasn’t in time for our stay. Location was great and a short Uber to downtown.
