Cute, cozy location on the norther part of SPI.

Art is a wonderful host who responded almost instantly to my questions! We enjoyed our stay! The location is great but the evenings can get noisy as the complex is next to Bar Louie's and Clayton's next door (during spring break). It is about a 3 minute walk to the beach and we enjoyed morning and evening walks in both direction. You can walk 1.2 miles to the Wanna Wanna, have a few drinks and walk the calories off on the way back. The one negative is privacy. Being located at the pool area, pool attendees can see tight into your bathroom so I was sure to close the curtain. I was warmly welcomed by the Tiki community as a Winter Texan and I would definitely consider a longer stay in the future!

Nice location, my birthday weekend

The condo was nice, A/C needs to be fixed, very noisy, have to close the bathroom door to hear TV and each other talk. The master bed has a hump in the middle. Love how close to the beach and stores. We would definitely come back to South Padre.

Great location The only thing that got us was it was lit up in the rooms at night The ac would only get down to 73 so it would get would get warm in there. But overall really liked it

Beach Wedding

Air conditioner had a few issues. Maintenance was attentive, but unfortunately it never got below 72 in the condo. Luckily we weren't in it much. Beautifully decorated and clean. Overall pleased with our stay.

Summer 2024 wedding anniversary

Condo was in a great location, within walking distance to the beach. It is a small one bedroom, super cozy. Down fall there's no space in the living room but for only a small couch that sits one person, so having company will be tight. The mattress in the bedroom was super hard, not recommended for anyone with back problems and the pillows were very uncomfortable. Maybe time to replace and upgrade. The ice machine doesn't make ice, so that was an experience of making ice using the old time ice trays. Housekeeping and maintenance kept resort and pools clean.

Excellent host! Cozy, clean, little place for small family!

Our stay was wonderful thanks to the host, Art, and his gracious accommodations in the uncertainty of Hurricane Beryl’s path. Art was highly responsive and understanding prior to our arrival. The place was clean and cozy for our little family of 3. Great proximity to the beach and right in front of the pool. The grounds of the Tiki were well kept and clean as well.

Very disappointed

1. Accused us of breaking the bedroom bifold door 2. Accused us of having A dog in the unit 3. No dryer in the unit makes no sense 4. Microwave didn’t work and I had to fix it. 5. No paper good left. Bring some if you stay 6. Bathroom vent is rusting and side is loose from ceiling held up with several screws 7. Air filter was extremely dirty 8. Treated us like we were kids. FYI we are 53 yrs old. Example. Quit making excuses and grow up 9. The unit is ok. There is a lot of work that was done in ok fashion but as a contractor I wouldn’t accept it. 10. Keeping our pet deposit because he accused us of bringing our dog when we lost our dog 2 months prior. No remorse. He is a cold human. 11. People parking in areas without passes. Granted this isn’t Arts fault but it was an inconvenience. Shall I keep going Easy access to the beach.

Perfect getaway

The condo was as described and more. Kitchen was very well equipped, all linens and pool towels provided, if traveling with children pool floats available. Very clean and comfortable, looking forward to staying here again and again. Since this was my first time booking through VRBO, the owner was very patient and helpful, thanks again Art Canales, see you again soon.

The perfect vacation

Our stay was very nice. The Tiki has the perfect proximity to the beach and the grounds and pools are pristine. The unit we stayed in was small but clean and very comfortable, it worked perfectly for us two! The only thing missing was an oven. The first night we we came in very late and wanted to make a pizza but were unable to as there is only a convection microwave. We didn't let that bother us in the least though and everything else went great! Art was very attentive and easy to get in contact with, communication was never a problem. I highly recommend this unit to anyone looking for a wonderful, relaxing vacation.

Charged for damages we did not do.

Fine stay until we found out that we were charged for damages that we did not do. Do not trust the owner Art Conales. He will keep your damage deposit and charge your insurance. You may find mold in the apartment. The Tiki in general is a great place to stay.

quiet get away

The condo was nice and clean and I felt safe while there. I didn't realize that there was a private area leading to the beach at first and it was a really nice discovery. The staff maintained the grounds so it was always clean and welcoming. Nice discovery... the little library for the owners and guests with a large variety of books and puzzles. This is going to be my go to place at SPI from now on.

Nice Place close to the beach

We were really happy with this place and would stay here again! Pros: -Easy walk through the complex to the beach -Master closet big enough for our pack-n-play -Very Clean (I was scared to book because I didn't want a pet friendly place) -Pool right next to the room and it was warm. -Super nice to be able to park so close to a nice beach and not have to worry about parking! -Fireworks on the beach on weekend nights because we came during summer (thanks to the Marriott) Cons: -The pullout twin bed was fine for my 4 year old but wouldn't be good for an adult (there was an inflatable matress that we didn't use that I am sure would be better for a larger person) -There was only hand soap provided- no toiletries or shower soap (the towels were super soft and wonderful though) -There wasn't dish soap or a sponge or brush for dishes (it was fine for us because we used the dishwasher and cooked minmally- but had we cooked meat or something I wouldn't have felt comfortable) -it smelled a tiny bit of smoke when we got there (it is a smoke free place but there are people in the condos who smoke- I didn't notice it after the first night so maybe it was a fluke. -Not the owners fault- There was a lot of tar on the beach that got on our feet and shoes- so keep your eye out

Lovely condo.. I rented two condos at the tiki for our family trip.. 2 of my grandchildren and myself were very comfortable in this condo. Loveseat turned into bed and huge king size bed in bedroom. Few items needed attention and I advised owner. Beautiful condo.

Greatest Condo Ever

The Tiki property is beautifully landscaped, and extremely well maintained. There are two pools, plenty of "doggie" areas, and parking. Art Canales was a gracious host. The condo is extremely comfortable, and well decorated. There is a full kitchen with everything you need for cooking. The bedroom has a king size bed with plenty of fluffy pillows. Oh...and a TV, of course. There is a large walk in closet with plenty of storage, and a washing machine (coin laundry on property) I used the coin dryers ($2.50/one hr)and they were clean and dried my entire load in 30 min. I have stayed in several condos here on South Padre Island, and some were good, but none that I can say I would return to. I will be coming back here for sure. I had a wonderful & peaceful week. No need to look anywhere else. Thanks to the Canales's for being great hosts.

Splendid! Absolutely Splendid!

Unit even more spectacular than the photos showed! Art was very prompt, patient & professional in his responses to my inquiries. We extended our trip one more day and needed a place to stay. The unit we were staying, at another property, was horrible and we did not want to pay another cent over there. Searched VRBO for another vacancy elsewhere and we saw this unit. Check in is at 4pm, but knowing that we checked out of the previous unit at 10am, and we were without a place with a car packed with travel gear, Art extended the courtesy of allowing us to check in much, much earlier. Place was impeccable and beautiful! Property owner demonstrated excellent customer service skills! This will now become our place to rent at SPI when it’s just two of us traveling down there! Our one night stay was A++++++++++++++++ Thanks Art!
