Host was helpful, cabin was great and the view spectacular. Had everything we needed. Ran to town to the fresh meat market and had the best food to cook. The fire place was the best. Will visit again when the weather is warmer. 10/10
The view was spectacular! All the colors of the leaves were breathtaking and the mountains were mesmerizing. It was extremely peaceful and relaxing. I loved the cabin. The view, the comfort of the furniture and the stocked kitchen made our stay wonderful. Thank you for such an amazing time!

The cabin was beautiful and felt like home immediately!
This cabin was perfect! Clean and beautiful! We had everything we needed and a view that could not be beat! We loved every minute and didn't want to leave! We hope to book another stay very soon!!
Spent time with our adult kids in a relaxed, private, beautiful setting. Wonderful for unplugging from the world and plugging in to one another. We didn't go much of anywhere but did do some trail runs nearby on the Ouachita Trail. Perfect fit for us.
This was the perfect place to relax. We saw why people have come back to this cabin time and time again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy stay in the area. Beautiful view from the huge windows and fire pit outside. Ed gave us excellent suggestions for local hikes in the area (including the PK trail which is right next to the cabin). The care that the owners put into this place is apparent and top-notch. We immediately felt right at home and want to come back!
I’ve spent alot of time over the years hiking in the region and never had found a perfect 360 degree view outside of Queen Wilhelmina lodge but this place had it and it is an awesome cabin! I was introducing my girlfriend to the area and it did not disappoint. The place is well appointed and the owner sent a text prior to coming in case we needed him but we didn’t because they already had the place do well stocked. Loved the fire pit and the fireplace, the bed is super comfy and we both felt at home here. The views are heavenly and it’s great watching the stars while the fire pit is roaring and making smores. Such a comfortable and private place, we will definitely return!
We stayed in the sunrise cabin for two nights in the middle of November when the fall colors were peaking. It’s a beautiful property, the cabin is like new and the hosts are very gracious. You won’t find a better fire ring to sit at and stare at the world. We will definitely be back.
Excellent cabin. Beautiful view. Enjoyed getting away from crazy life. Weather was rainy and foggy so will have to come back again to experience the fall foliage in the area.
The Sunrise Cabin was amazing and the views were even better!
Perfect place to get away from it all! The cabin was really really nice and also really clean. If you think the pictures online look good just wait until you get there. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a remote mountain getaway and we will definitely be back
This place was beyond perfect. We felt well taken care of during our stay. We were lucky enough to be there during a snow storm and it was gorgeous. The view and everything about this place was amazing!
Amazing property. Well kept and clean. View is beautiful. The cabin is very well stocked and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed plus some. Plenty of blankets and pillows. There was plenty of room for the four of us and our two large dogs. Would definitely visit again and spend more time exploring the area.
Everything about our stay was perfect. Next time we are staying longer for sure. We cannot wait to come back. Everything we needed was there. Amenities were in point. View was beautiful, hiking trails were perfect and in walking distance. We will be back in March!
The cabin is so beautiful and cozy, it's the perfect getaway. The cabin is so clean and it had everything we needed and wanted, plus more. The place is awesome, it's in the middle of the forest with spectacular views. I was happy just sitting and looking out at nature. We came with the family (adults plus 3 young kids), but I can see this place being a perfect place for a couples or all girls weekend getaway too. I would definitely come back!
The wife and I had a wonderful time on our 2 day stay. The view is spectacular and the cabin is beautiful. The cabin holds up to its name, "Sunrise". We did a couple of the hikes on the trails that are located on the property. Tried to have a fire on the first night without success, wood must of had been wet because it just would not catch fire even with the supplied fire starters. No big deal. As mentioned you will need to bring food and etc. with you unless you want the drive aways to stock up later. We will book cabin again. 5 stars for sure. Thank you for allowing us to stay.
My husband and I decided to spend Christmas at the Sunrise cabin with our daughters and dogs. We brought our girls stockings and presents. The owners had a Christmas tree up for us and we were able to have a truly beautiful and unique Christmas up on Peckerwood Knob!!
As the beautiful sunrise was coming through the floor-to-ceiling windows, our girls were opening their presents. We will never forget it.
We hiked, visited nearby Beavers Bend, the girls loved the hammock!! And we had the best fires in the fireplace every night! The owners supplied all the firewood we needed and the place was spotless and had everything we needed.
We definitely recommend this cabin. We will never forget it.
WE NEEDED TO GET AWAY AND RECHARGE. WE WERE ABLE TO DO THIS. THE QUIETNESS, THE BEAUTY OF THE AREA. WE WOULD LOVE TO STAY AGAIN IN THE FALL . HOWEVER WE WERE NOT PREPARED FOR THE HIKE ON THE TRAIL.
After wrapping up my last day at a stressful job, my husband and I made a last-minute decision to get out of town for the weekend. Not sure what travel options would be with many states still closed due to COVID, we contacted Ed and Patrice about a next-day check-in. They assured us the cabin would be ready and they'd love to have us.
The cabin was perfect! Secluded, with beautiful views of the mountains. Kitchen was equipped with everything we could possibly need. We never left the cabin. Loved the quiet and solitude with no internet and no TV. We'll definitely be back!
This place was amazing. The perfect little place to get away & unplug. Just what my husband & I needed (and our dog, Dixie!). Ed & Patrice were the perfect hosts. We will definitely be returning.

Great little cabin in the woods
This is a great little cabin in the woods on a mountain top. The views are great, and the sunrises are beautiful. From OKC it took us about 3hr 15 min to arrive (we drive fast). No television and no internet are a big plus, but you do have good cell service with AT&T. There is a nice little trail on the mountain that is about a 1 mile. There is plenty of hiking close by and some nice little rivers/streams. The owners of the property were very easy to deal with and were very attentive without even noticing that they were around. We were there over Thanksgiving and burned most of our wood stack. The owner called to announce that he would be dropping off some more wood and that was it, we never even saw him. Perfect cabin to get away and unplug for a few days. The cabin was well stocked with just about everything you need. My wife was really hoping to see a bear but it didn't happen this time. Bring your food if you don't want to leave, but there is a Dollar General a short drive away incase you forget anything. We will be renting here again as we really enjoyed our stay and our time away from the city and work life.

Five star view
The accommodations exceeded our expectations. The cabin was very clean and had all of the comforts of home but most of all, the view was spectacular overlooking the wooded mountains. So beautiful to gaze at and unwind in seclusion and peace. The owners were so thoughtful in providing just the right small touches to make us feel welcome.
