A Spring Delight
This home on the mountain in Angel Fire is more than it explains itself to be. The climb into the neighborhood is relatively easy, and well worth it: the deck oversees one of the best vistas in the area. We sat on the massive deck most of our stay. A fully stocked kitchen and all household needs made it easy to cook for a family and enjoy meals in or outdoors. So many minor touches made the stay feel like a retreat rather than just staying in someone's house (extra cozy blankets, fireplace, washer/dryer needs, bathroom amenities, towels and sheets). We opened the windows upstairs late at night to combat the warmth from the day and the air conditioning on the main level made for a comfortable temperature any time. Host was also extremely accommodating and welcoming, answering any questions quickly, bringing a touch of Angel Fire to the house, and checking in when needed.
We would absolutely stay again!
Honest critiques: Upstairs shower is small for a grown person (bath was perfect and downstairs luxury made up for it); upstairs can get a little warm if you weren't lucky like us to have cool nights; limited variety of wine glasses (glad we remembered our own!); outdoor table is small if you plan to eat outside
Pros: Location, view, kitchen comfort/dishes, TV set up, local treat delivery, communication with host/kindness of communication (notes, binder, check ins), hummingbird/birdwatching from the deck, huge dining table for meals and games, all the supplies available
