Cute, comfy, clean cottage
We enjoyed our stay in your adorable cottage. It has such a nice view of the lake and we loved the canoe and swimming nearby. The size was perfect for just the two of us most of the week but also had room for our 2 girls and their 4 little kids to come up the end of the week. We had a great time.

Wonderful location and hospitality
Superb location! We could swim everyday. The pond is located just across the street, and there was a private boat, too. The cottage was charming and comfortable to stay. The nature around the cottage was beautiful and gave us new energy every day. The Internet connection was strong., so if it rains you can enjoy staying in the cottage. We appreciate the owners’ hospitality. They put fire logs and s’more set in the room. It was a wonderful experience .

Beautiful cottage!
I'm so happy I stumbled upon this house! It was absolutely perfect for my husband and I and our 4 and 8 year olds. This was the cleanest rental house I've ever stayed in. We enjoyed our mornings drinking coffee and watching the humming birds, our afternoons spent on the lake. My husband caught fish everyday and the swimming was great! Spent evenings around the campfire. Jane even welcomed us with a smores making basket! This house is equipped with everything you could possibly need... even a large pot for when we brought home lobsters. Thank you for sharing your house with us... it's absolutely beautiful and we hope to return again!

Exactly Right
This was exactly as stated through peoples comments on their stays and the owners listing. We used the canoe, swam at the public beach, and enjoyed! Close to the convenience store for the basics you are missing. Shower was nice a hot with good water pressure. I was surprised that there were towels there, it had stated on the website to bring your own. Peaceful area. Loved watching the hummingbirds while eating breakfast.

Beautiful Lakeside Cottage
The Red Cottage is a clean, comfortable cottage at the tip of Moose Pond. The cottage is simple, but tastefully decorated and well stocked - Jane (the owner) has really thought of everything! Perfect size for a family of 4 and a dog. We loved the lake - clear and unexpectedly mild - and the easy access to the town beach and the rope swing. We enjoyed the canoes that come with the cottage and also rented a paddleboard. We hiked Pleasant Mountain (via Firewarden's Trail), enjoyed the obstacle course at Pondicherry Park and went blueberry picking at Pleasant View Blueberry Farm. Easy access to Bridgton for groceries, shopping, laundry and restaurants - but you could easily spend all of your time enjoying Moose Pond!

Wonderful lake house on Moose Pond
We loved this lake house. Very clean, well equiped cabin on the beautiful Moose Pond. We hiked, enjoyed the grill, used the paddle board and our own standup paddle board. The pond water is clear and warm. A wonderful summer vacation in a great location!

Amazing Vacation
We had the BEST week in the cozy red cottage. It was super clean and had everything we needed. The views at that part of the pond are beautiful and the surroundings are so peaceful and relaxing. My husband brought our UTV and he and our boys went four wheeling while I spent my afternoons floating beside the dock and listening to my favorite music. We brought both of our dogs too and they absolutely loved it. Thank you for such a wonderful week!

Cozy and clean cabin right on the lake
The cabin was a perfect escape for my mother and I for a few days away from home. Very clean accommodation and great proximity to the water. We BBQed every evening and really enjoyed sitting around the fire pit afterward. Highly recommended!

Return to Moose Pond
My brother and I rented this cottage for about six days and we both enjoyed it very much. The cottage was very well furnished and the area was very quiet in the evening. The cottage provided a canoe and this provided us to some exceptional fishing. Would definitely stay at this cottage again

Excellent location for a relaxing weekend on Moose Pond
Had a great stay at the cottage on Moose Pond. The decor was lovely and the home was well appointed with everything you'd need. We spent time on the canoe that was provided and sunbathed on the dock. Went for a little trip into Bridgton to enjoy some local fare. Would absolutely stay again and would highly recommend the cottage. Thanks!

Relaxing and beautiful!
We had a blast at the cottage! Perfect sized space for our crew of 3 adults and 2 dogs. We had a great time swimming, kayaking, and even swam over to the rope swing to try it out. The lake is quiet and peaceful, we wished we had booked to stay longer! We hiked firewardens trail, which was a short drive away, and made a couple of trips into bridgton. Overall, our favorite part was being able to enjoy the view over our morning coffee and evening campfire! This cottage had everything you need to relax and enjoy vacation!

Beautiful cottage on a peaceful and beautiful lake
Our stay at the cottage was very enjoyable. Jane's attention to detail is remarkable, the place is so clean with everything you need to enjoy time on the lake. We loved using the firepit in the evenings when the lake is like glass and the sun is setting. The kitchen is stocked for making meals in and the cute town of Bridgton has great hip and classic options for eating out nearby. We went into town to the gastropub and drive in movies. The canoe included made for a perfect daytime adventure- this lake has lots of little coves to explore and a public beach for swimming. There is a nice floating dock to swim out to and sunbath on and a few trails nearby for day hikes. Comfy beds too! We hope to come back!

Had a great stay! Just the getaway we needed!
The cottage was clean, the beds comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Very relaxing looking over the lake from the kitchen, living room and the deck. The lake was great for swimming and there was a town beach a few steps away for the kids to play in the sand and splash around in shallow water. Especially enjoyed an evening fire in the fire pit with s'mores!

Great stay at this cozy, comfy cabin!
We spent four nights at Jane's cabin over the fourth of July - me, my husband, and 2-yr old daughter. We wanted a nice, 2 bedroom place with a sandy beach area for our toddler to play in, and a canoe - and this checked all our boxes. The cabin has a rustic, real cabin feel but was definitely nice and updated enough to be comfortable to stay in for several days at a time. Decor isn't fancy but the beds were very comfy, linens felt clean and nice, bathroom was great, and the kitchen provided us with everything we needed to cook at the cabin (although we used the grill provided for almost every meal). We enjoyed s'mores by the fire pit, relaxing on the dock, lounging on the deck, and having meals at the picnic table. Biggest pluses in our opinion were the close proximity to the sandy, nice swimming area with surrounding dock (public but even on this popular weekend mornings and some later afternoons found the area wide open), canoe with paddles and PFDs, and convenience store a couple minute drive away for last minute items. The toy box and book basket were also a nice surprise and well used by our daughter! Less appealing features for us were hilly terrain directly surrounding cabin with rocks and roots (we knew this was the case and it was just fine but worth mentioning for families with babies and young toddlers- we had to keep an extra eye out to be sure our 2yr old was safe), proximity to neighboring cabin on one side (family reunion of sorts going on next door - not at all a deal breaker, they were great neighbors, but cabin isn't especially private if a large group happens to be next door), traffic on road between cabin and lake (again, really didn't bother us much but on this busy weekend there was definitely a stream of cars going by), and having to deal with temporary loss of power and water in a thunderstorm (no one's fault!! Jane was responsive and we still enjoyed ourselves without lights on). Overall, this was a perfect spot for our small family and an ideal set up for those with kids, those who want proximity to some towns for other activities (ice cream in Bridgton was fun!), and a great lake for swimming and canoeing. We had so much fun and would recommend this spot to others without hesitation!!

Cute, cozy cabin under the trees on the water
We loved our stay at Jane and Lenny's cabin! It was clean and comfortable. The decorations are cute, tasteful, and wonderfully practical (thank you for so many hooks!) and the cabin "fits" the site perfectly! The spacious bathroom had plenty of hot water, the beautifully varnished pine floors felt good under our bare feet, and the wifi was reliable. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck with a view over Moose Pond, canoeing in search of ducks and loons, swimming at the public beach just a couple houses down, and going for walks down the road. The morning fog and dawn breaking over the pond provided some amazing photo opportunities, too. The neighborhood is quiet at night and in the morning, and full of happy activity during the day as folks swim, swing on the rope swing into the water, jet ski, and motor past on their pontoon and fishing boats or motorbikes. Bridgton, Fryeburg, and North Conway are all within about a 30 minute drive for grocery shopping, dining out, shopping, and hiking. It was the perfect spot for our long weekend stay. Thank you for sharing it with us!

The perfext lake experience
Stayed here for a few days with my brother, his wife and 2 kids 10 and 12 years old. We all head a super good time out here. We especially loved how quiet it was. No traffic on the road and also almost no motor oats on the lake. We had a blast paddling on the canoes and doing the ropswing which is just on the other side of the lake from the property (50feet). The house is super nice and very well equipped an has avery nice outside seating area. If I am in the area agan I will definately go bacl to this place

We had the best time!
When I first got to the Cottage and went inside, I felt relaxed immediately. The view of Moose Pond, the serene setting, and watching the many hummingbirds, we and our friends had a great 4 days. The cottage was spotless, comfortable, had everything we needed and more. The new deck was perfect for morning coffee. Combine the fire pit and the beautiful sunset over the water with a glass of your favorite beverage and you will find that you will hate to leave and cannot wait to come back! The owners were great and more than accommodating. I highly recommend spending time here, you will be very happy that you did.

I have been summering on Moose Pond for 56 years. I started coming with my parents when I was 8 years old and they built a cottage here for our family. When I married, we purchased our own place across the lake from them. Our six kids enjoyed the lake here in the spring, summer and fall. They now have families of their own and our lakehouse is a part of our lives that bring us together, Our grandchildren are now enjoying the lake as much as their parents did!

Why they chose this property

This is the cottage we rented the year we bought our place on the lake. We want to introduce our lake to others who will enjoy it as much as we do.

What makes this property unique

Peaceful setting at the foot of Picket Hill in the quaint town of Denmark ME. Enjoy beautiful views of the lake relaxing on the front deck with your morning coffee and while inside in the living room and kitchen. You have own dock on the lake to moor your boat or just sit and relax. There is also a floating dock to swim to and sunbath. The cottage is located 300 feet from the Denmark Public Beach, with docks and sand beach. It is also close to the public boat launch if you have your own boat you wish to bring. Spend your time just relaxing at the lake, or make some trips visiting North Conway, 25 minutes away for outlet shopping and the Mount Washington Attractions, go hiking, antiquing, golfing, in Bridgeton 10 minutes away, go canoeing on the Saco River with River Run Canoe in Fryburg, 10 minutes away, visit Storyland or Loon Mountain. And don't forget to go to the drive-in movies in Bridgton for a real old fashioned treat.
