About the host
Hosted by Jessi Bailey
Steve and I in the Surf City, NC area and have a family owned & operated retail store that keeps us busy especially in the summer! We enjoy kayaking, riding bikes (especially on the Virginia Creeper), and just being outdoors with family and friends. We travel a lot for work, but our most favorite place is to travel to is our home on Beech Mountain. It is Simply Serene and we love sharing the peace and serenity of the mountains with others.
Why they chose this property
Our home is located in a quiet neighborhood, but with some great people who also live in our area. We consider them our family away from the beach where we live...
What makes this property unique
While our home is cozy, we have furnished it with artwork from local artists including our favorite Wesley Waugh from Blowing Rock and a few of our favorite antiques... the woodbox was bought on Route 66 in Amarillo, TX. The most special thing about our home is that it quiet and comfortable and relaxing, but located close to ski resorts Beech and Sugar Mountain, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls, Boone, and Blowing Rock for day trips. A favorite activity, the Virginia Creeper is a 17-mile downhill bike ride starting in Damascus, VA. is only 1 1/2 hour drive from our home and which winds through gorgeous scenery, around a river and the Appalachian Trail. We often drive the Blue Ridge Parkway, hike and explore nearby towns.
