Steps from beautiful Kahala Beach, you will find your Estate. As soon as you open the front gate, you will be welcomed with lush tropical landscape.

The property is located in the coveted Kahala neighborhood, a five minute walk to the luxurious Kahala Hotel and a ten minute walk to Kahala Mall where you will find restaurants, shops and Whole Foods market. The neighborhood is quiet, safe and a fantastic area for walking or biking.

The main house is over 3000 square feet and includes 3 bedrooms. A large master bedroom which also has a sitting and tv area. Both the second and third bedrooms have large bay windows over looking the pool and the other looking out onto the lush landscaped property. The house is spacious with a Living Room and a Great Room to relax in. The pool in the backyard is enormous with lots of space to sit and enjoy the sun.

The house is very typical of old Hawaii, everything on one level, except a sunken living room, very warm feeling upon entering the home with lots of big windows throughout. Nearly every room in the home has a vaulted ceiling, which gives the house a spacious feeling.


The property has plenty of parking with both a garage and a driveway and is only a short two mile drive to Diamond Head lookout and state park. Just beyond Diamond Head is Kapiolani Park and the bustling Waikiki.

Wonderful home
We enjoyed our stay for 1 week at this lovely home. Much larger than expected. The pool was fun and the garden beautiful. Very peaceful place to unwind.

Terrific place for families
I truly enjoyed my stay in this home. My children loved the pool, my dad loved using the grill, we all enjoyed the large dining table and big living room for family dinners and movies. It was the perfect location for some change of scenery during the pandemic.

We love the kahala area. Beautiful home. Not brand new but quality built. Great lot and location. Perfect home for three couples on vacation or a large family. Pool and yard very nice. Close to kahala hotel and resort , beach, and shopping center. Would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful home and experience!
My business partner and I based ourselves out of this location while working in Hawaii and we are thrilled with the experience. The house is very clean, well appointed and has everything you could possibly need. The location is perfect and the property itself is very private and relaxing. Ryne was super easy to connect with and was very responsive when we had questions. We would highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a "home away from home" while visiting Oahu. Mahalo Ryne and looking forward to returning!

Great property, Fantastic stay
Great property , 1 block walk to beach, Shopping center 1 mile, Fantastic neighborhood , 15 minutes to downtown Honolulu, Couple of small issues but were taken care of very quickly. Pool was to cool to use but is was Feb. when we were there. will definitely rebook next time in Hawaii.

Fantastic house!
Great house in a great location. Very spacious, extremely well-equipped kitchen, beautiful large yard, nice swimming pool, and kid-friendly. Our multi-generational family really enjoyed our stay at the Kahala house and we would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at this Kahala estate was everything that was presented. Beautiful gardens well decorated home and amazing appliances. Everything you need for your stay is available. My family had a wonderful time and I would definately stay here again.

Ideal Vacation Home
Six women enjoyed this Kahala home for six nights. It is a lovely, spacious house with an immaculate and well-landscaped garden. Spacious enough to have alone time when needed. The pool temperature was perfect, the beach an easy walk away. There were plenty of towels, beach supplies, comfortable beds and lots of comfy sofas that could serve as beds, a jacuzzi, great indoor showers, outdoor shower, a gazebo with table and comfy chairs plus another outdoor table and chairs. The kitchen was well supplied and a delight to use. The dining room is pleasant and seated us all easily. There were small tubes of sunscreen, several tiny reading lights that work with books, and the air conditioning system has individual controls. There are also individual controls for the overhead fans. We had some problems with the door locks and help arrived promptly, though the locks were never easy to use. The blinds of one window in the "library" bedroom were broken when we arrived and never repaired during our time there. Fortunately, the people who had that room could live with it. In addition, the Waialae Kahala shopping center is an easy five minute drive from the house and contains everything you could possibly need. We used it mostly for Longs Drug Store and Whole Foods. We were also close to a Farmer's Market on the back side of Diamond Head, which was a fun place to visit. We ate fresh papayas from the tree in the garden and also enjoyed dinners at Whole Foods, at Zippy's in Kahala, and a nearby Greek Cafe, all within 5 minutes of the house. The airport is 30 to 45 minutes away depending on traffic and everything else is close.

Beautiful house and great location!
Completely agree with the prior reviews: this house is GREAT! We had a SUPER Hawaiian vacation! -- the place is spacious and comfortable, with plenty of places to gather and relax -- large, bright and fully stocked kitchen made cooking easy -- can't beat the location: nice, quiet neighborhood, nearby mall and restaurants, a short drive to drive downtown Waikiki -- swimming pool is clean with plenty of large beach towels and pool toys (kids couldn't get enough!) -- stepping into the yard (both front and pool side) felt like you're on an island paradise (kids also loved the tree swing!) -- very effective AC kept the house cool (for some reason, the bathroom in the master bedroom was too cold) We had a wonderful trip in celebration of my mom's 70th Birthday. We'd love to stay there again!

Great place to stay, but there were some issues
Pros: The location was great with easy access to a local beach and shopping. (hint: Get souvenirs at Longs Drugs in the mall. Cheaper than at tourist locations.) Tourist attractions weren't too far a drive. Location provided easy access to freeway. Ton of space to get together in different areas Beautiful house and landscaping Kitchen had everything we needed to cook/clean. ****We would definitely stay there again**** Cons: Arrival: no one to greet us and no response to calls after we contacted the renting org earlier in the day as instructed and we arrived right on time. Gates were locked. We stood outside for 45 minutes until we found another way in. Master Bedroom: - Bed was hard as a rock. - Non stop dripping heard from within wall of bathroom. It was dripping from day one Room with a loft: - Nice room with great view of the pool and lots of space - Hot water dripping in sink. It was dripping from day one - Cold water pipe from sink was moaning every night after midnight as the sprinklers went on near the pool house. - Door to bathroom very squeaky, opening and closing Library room: - Person can be locked in the room as both entrances to the room had locks that were only accessible outside of the room. Backyard: - Great layout and well kept - Yard maintenance was done after pool cleaning, so we cleaned the pool ourselves from the yard work debris - Pool light not working - Pergola was very unstable and potentially dangerous; two posts are sitting on bricks - Grill was extremely small for a house this size. Departure instructions: - Recommend explaining what the renter does not have to do (eg do not worry about dishes, doing laundry, deflating pool items, etc); cleaning costs are high, but not sure what we could get penalized for HVAC: - Thermostats located in master bedroom and right outside master bedroom. Zones in house were laid out in a way that caused the kitchen to get really cold while the dining room next to it was really hot. Overall, we were very satisfied with the rental and would stay here again.

Perfect Family retreat
We enjoyed this property in Kahala immensely. It was a short drive to busy Waikiki and a short walk to the beautiful beaches. The pool and grounds are simply beautiful. The house is spacious and clean with beautiful hawaiian touches equipped with all the necessities to enjoy a wonderful trip. Thank you so much we sure look forward to our return trip.

Perfect home away from home for family in the gorgeous Kahala neighborhood!
When I booked a home for our party of 10 (8 adults; 1 child; 1 toddler), my priorities were: location, modern home, pool, large dining room, parking, AC, WiFi, full kitchen. This beautiful estate was everything we wanted and more! Loved being in the Kahala neighborhood; less than a 5 minute walk to a small beach. 15 minute drive to South Waikiki, which means we were close to the city, but still in a quiet neighborhood. 5 minute drive to a local grocery store - Times Grocery. Loved the kitchen - almost every cooking utensil/appliance was available for us to cook gourmet meals when we were dining at home. Thanks for all of the beach towels, water toys for the kids and beach chairs - used them almost every day! The home itself had beautiful decor - large, open layout, which is nice for a large family. The patio by the pool was perfect for drinks under stars at night!

Great space for our 3 generations to celebrate
Our kids and their kids had plenty of room to spread out. We all enjoyed the beautifully landscaped grounds. My grand kids couldn't stay out of the pool after snorkeling at the beach.

kahala paradise
The grounds are gorgeous with mature, well maintained, tropical vegetation. The pool is large and clean... perfect for our twice daily family swims. The house is very welcoming and comfortable. It worked very well for our family of five. The neighborhood is quiet and lovely with nearby shops, restaurants, and beaches. Our only issues were a spa tub malfunction which was not resolved and a grill rack that needs replacing. We had such a memorable time, that I'm giving 5.stars, but it's really 4 1/2.due to the issues I just mentioned. Would we stay there again? Yes!

Perfect for Families
The property is absolutely beautiful (exactly as shown in the pictures). The house is clean, spacious and fully stocked for your comfort and convenience. The beds were all very comfortable and the central AC was a nice convenience during the warm summer days. We spent most of our time outside in the amazing yard and pool area, which is furnished very comfortably - including tables, couches, an outdoor bathroom and a propane grill (we literally didn't even need to go inside the house if we didn't want to!). The house is in a great location, right across from the beach and minutes away from Kahala Mall. The host (Ryne) was wonderful and very accommodating. We highly recommend this property for a family vacation (or staycation!), and we we will be booking it again for ourselves on our next one:)

Beautiful Home, Pictures Don't Do It Justice
Everything was well maintained and kept clean. A lot of little extra amenities like a portable Bose speaker and quality beach towels (these little details make a stay that much better!!). And the central AC is AMAZING!!!

Perfect Kahala Life
Located in a wonderful place in Kahala Avenue. We stayed at work with six crew. Meeting at the poolside with a wonderful garden. Jump in to the pool when it gets hot. It is within 5 minutes by car as well as supermarket and Kahala Mall. They were all perfect for us.

Another great stay for my family
My family rented both house and casita for a week and had a wonderful time. Perfect place and setup. Patio w pool and garden setting is lovely. Owner Ryne and House manager Linda were very accommodating and helpful. Thanks to both of them for making our stay wonderful!

Kahala house
We enjoyed staying in this house which was comfortable and quiet. We make at least 2 trips to Hawaii a year always renting a house. It was great to have a kitchen fully equipped with nice pots and pans, The dishes were all matching with out any chipping and lots of nice silver ware. The master bedroom was large with a very comfortable king size bed. There are 3 bedrooms each with it''s own bath. The landscaping is like what is found at expensive resorts and very comfortable and relaxing to spend time in reading or visiting. The whole yard including the pool area is very secluded so one can swim and sun bathe au nature'l. The pool is large and cleaned twice a week, and is warm from the sun . There is also an out side cold water shower which we used to rinse off. Kahala Beach is right across the street as is the Kahala Hotel. There is a great mall 5 minutes drive from the house, with a drug store and many eating places, and commercial shops, there is also a whole foods store. Close by is a wonderful Italian restaurant called Assagio's Beware the servings are large, even the small servings will sastify 2 people. We are looking forward to our next trip to Hawaii and staying here again .

All of us were very happy to be able to stay at this beautiful place. The location was highly ideal -- easy driving distance from the airport, quite accessible to supermarkets such as Wholefoods, Safeway, Costco, and to the Alamoana shopping center! Oh, the beach-side park was located just across the street. The house was well equipped with ample supplies, including beddings with good linens, pots and pans, flatwares, and many more. Grilling around the pool in the evening, while swimming at the pool, shall stay long in our memory! Guess what..... We decided to return to the property , hopefully in four years, to celebrate our grandson's college graduation as we've done this summer to celebrate Philip's high school graduation and to move on to a top-notch university.

Beautiful landscaping on the property and the home was delightful - just like it was advertised!
Our family of nine adults filled the house completely and had lots of "move around" space. We have rented via VRBO many times in the past and never had a property that was as well stocked as this one - just outstanding - new washer/dryer, refrigerator as well as lots of glasses nice plates and all worked just fine. Just a short block away from park that has nice calm beach for our enjoyment but found our pool inviting as well. We utilized the guest house as well and glad we did as otherwise it would have been too small - great owner and the on site lady Linda was available in case of problem, overall we had a great 8 days and highly recommend the property!

Paradise right inside this amazing home!!
From the very start this beautiful home was a breeze to rent. Ryne was quick to reply to all my questions. I let Ryne know when we would arrive and Linda was there ahead of us. We did a quick walk thru and she was off, but let us know she was available if we needed. This home was fully stocked as far as kitchen needs. Good supply of towels and of course the washer and dryer was very helpful! This home is very well kept inside and out. Location was perfect. Short walk away was the beautiful Kahala Resort. Very well worth the walk. Less than a ten minute drive and you're at the Kahala mall. Costco is close by as well. About 12 miles from the airport and a few miles to Wikiki! We truly enjoyed our stay here, hard to leave! I would recommend this home and would rent this home again!!

Location, Location, Location. Our property is located in the marquee location on Oahu. Across the street from the beach and the large beach park. A short five minute walk to the famous Kahala Hotel, where you can have brunch on the beach. Also, the property is close to Diamond Head loop where runners love to run around the volcano. Diamond Head is also home to a very popular local surfing spot. We have parking available on the property.

What makes this property unique

Fantastic Location and spacious property both inside and outside the house. Unique to our property is the 17,000 square foot lot that is quite rare in Kahala. Lots of space to be outside and enjoy the lush landscaped property.
