Located in the heart of beautiful Mohican Country, Trails End Retreat is the perfect getaway. The 5-acre property was newly renovated in 2022 and still in process. We've added a beautiful outdoor patio with a wood burning fireplace, pond dock, and hot tub. Bring your furry family members, including horses. The entire area around the pond is safely fenced for dogs. There is a half acre pasture with run-in shelter for horses to stay on property. Saddle up and ride, or throw on your hiking gear, and explore some of the most beautiful trails in the Mohican State Forest. You can access the Blue Trail less than 3/4 of a mile away. Trails End Retreat also offers guests a stocked fishing pond, corn hole, kayaks, pizza oven, Weber grill, and Blackstone. Inside you will find TWO well equipped kitchens that makes meal prepping for multiple families very convenient. Sleeping arrangements include- 2 king bedrooms, 1 queen bedroom, 1 bedroom with two twin beds, and a sleeper sofa. There are 2 full bathrooms and 1 half bath inside. There is another full bathroom accessible in the barn area (which is great when guests include RV campers on property). There are 4 available RV hookups that can be arranged through the owner after booking. We also have a bunkhouse, with 2 twin beds, that is included with the rental. Trails End Retreat offers beautiful views, peace, tranquility, and is less than 5 miles from all of the canoe livery action.

Was such a nice way to spend a weekend relaxing and letting our puppies swim in the pond and sitting in front of the fire will definitely be back!

We have stayed in many rental homes over the past ten years or so, and this was by far the cleanest and best equipped place we have ever stayed. It was also the most relaxing. We had a wonderful, peaceful long weekend.
My wife and I was looking for a get away for our anniversary that allowed pets. We travel with our dogs and was very fortunate to find a place that was so clean and cozy and yet had plenty of room for our dogs to run around the pond and play. My wife fished for 3 straight days and caught over 30 fish while the dogs and I hit the trails located just 1.5 miles down the road. There is so much to do within a 8 mile radius that we would need a week or better to even try to fit stuff in. The house was super clean and had spectacular views of the land, pond and horses. We will be returning soon and would recommend this place to anyone wanting to relax and enjoy the outdoors and since the property is fenced in its also great for dogs and kids. Debra the owner of the property was so easy to work with and kept us informed about our stay. Thank you for a great weekend.
Trails End Retreat was just as advertised. It was the perfect getaway. Peaceful country stay, our host was excellant. My wife and I stayed with our 13 year old grandson and there was certainly enough things for him to do there to keep entertained as he was disconnected from his gaming for the weekend. It was also very clean.
We had a great stay! Wonderful quiet place to stay and loved the pond and fenced yard for our dogs! Everything we needed was available and Debra was very responsive to our questions. Would absolutely stay again!
We had a fantastic long weekend here! The property is unbelievably gorgeous, quiet, and serene. We caught a ton of fish in the pond and our daughter loved looking at the horses (not sure what their real names are but she dubbed them Riley, Snappy (🤷♀️), and Carmack (🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️)). We used the fire pit every night to cook our dinner; there's nothing better than a camp fire meal! The unit was spotless and the decor was beautiful. We would love to come back in a few years when our girls are a bit older (currently 3.75 years and 7 months) so that they could stay in the bunk house and we could stay in the main unit (the bunk house is a separate building and we didn't want them in a different building). Highly recommend!!
The pictures do not do this unique property justice! What a fantastic little getaway for our family. We traveled with two toddlers and we enjoyed ourselves so much. They loved waking up and looking at the "horsies". We relaxed and spent much time fishing in the pond and around the campfire. Whoever said mold was in the shower, doesn't know what mold is- because there was none. The unit was spotless. Debbie, the owner, was very quick to respond with any requests or needs. There is a new grill to use, along with a BlackStone. We will be returning, and we hope to bring our friends with their trailers!
Debra was very responsive and helped us with any questions we had. This property is perfect at any time of the year to have a remote getaway located very close to Mohican. Highly recommend!
We stayed for my 40th birthday and to celebrate Father’s Day for my husband. Property was as described. Clean, quiet and exactly what we needed. Hubby enjoyed fishing in the pond. I enjoyed relaxing and watching. It was a nice getaway. The country setting was perfect!
It was a great experience! Loved to setting and the property. Unfortunately we had to leave a bit early due to a sick puppy. But, would definitely consider this location again.
