The space
You'll have access to the entire house, including three cozy bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and inviting living and dining areas. Relax on the private porch, and let your pets roam freely in the fenced yard. Please note that while the entire house is yours to enjoy, the left half of the unfinished basement and the detached barn are restricted areas. We look forward to making your stay in Irvington memorable and comfortable!
Guest access
Guests may access the front or back door with an access code sent to them prior to arrival.
Other things to note
The washer and dryer are in an unfinished basement, which can be accessed whenever needed. For the safety of children and others, this is behind a locked door you may access anytime. Please contact me at any point for access to the key.

The washer is located near an exterior wall and should not be used within 24 hours of the temperature dropping to or below 8º F.

This historic neighborhood, with homes averaging 100 years old, commonly has what we call "wet basements," which simply means water occasionally filters through during heavy rain. All water is clean and runs through within 24 or less. This is nothing to be concerned about but something to note. Feel free to contact me if you have any concerns about this prior to or during your stay.

We have stayed in several properties in the Irvington area over Thanksgiving when we've visited our daughter and son-in-law over the years, and this one met our needs better than most. Since we had five adults staying overnight and another two for meals together, we needed a living area and dining area big enough for our whole group. This property had all that, plus a nice kitchen for heating up food and making breakfast. (We cooked our food ahead of time so we didn't really use the kitchen to cook.) The weather was too cold for us to enjoy the backyard, but it looked nice, with plenty of seating. The only thing to be aware of - which is true for most Irvington homes - is that the sleeping areas are up a steep, narrow staircase. Not only will be walking up and down the stairs frequently, but you'll have to bring all your luggage up there, too. People with mobility issues should take that into consideration. The main bathroom was big and had a good shower. The host was very communicative, and we enjoyed our stay.

2024 Irvington Halloween Festival
My friends and I stayed for the weekend to take in all the activities surrounding the festival. It was so nice to be able to walk to the festival instead of dealing with traffic. The house was lovely, well maintained. We enjoyed the fire pit Saturday night also. We would definitely stay here again.

Such a charming house in a cute neighborhood! We were visiting friends who lived on the block so it was perfect for us. It was easy to get to the children’s museum and downtown. We enjoyed our stay! Great host!

Why they chose this property

Irvington is such a warm, inviting neighborhood with families of all ages. I love how walkable it is–with restaurants and coffee just a 10 minute walk away. I lived in this home for years before deciding to put it up as a rental. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

What makes this property unique

This newly renovated home was built in 1910. Upon its renovation, we wanted to keep its historic elements while making it more comfortable for guests.
