The apartment was very cozy and clean. The kitchen and bathroom were well stocked. We loved sitting outside in the patio area. It was in a lovely area, close to Stanford. Felt like home! Looking forward to returning!
Great little 1 bedroom place that’s walkable to downtown Palo Alto. Owners did ask to remove shoes during the stay, which I respect as I am someone who doesn’t wear outdoor shoes in my own home, but the floors were too dirty to ask this of someone. Our socks became filthy. Nothing a better cleaning crew couldn’t correct and the place was clean and tidy besides that.
clean, private patio great neighborhood close to restaurants and shopping. We did not notice that the garage said medium car but we were able to navigate. Ana was excellent and was available to assist us. we look forward to returning.
Good location right off University. Unfortunately there were noise issues which are not really the fault of the property owner. The property is on the first floor and the people staying above were early risers and given the hard floors, it was very loud above the bedroom with them walking around and talking before 7 am. I don't think they were being unreasonably loud, but the hard floors just magnify the footfalls right above the bedroom. I was going to enjoy the outdoor back patio on Sunday morning with coffee but was disturbed by the neighbor hammering and using a loud power say starting at 9 am. Again, not the owner's fault but was pretty rude for the neighbor to be doing construction that early on a Sunday morning. It kind of killed the vibe of morning coffee.

Liked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, communication
Good things: The apartment was great, very clean and stocked with everything you could need.
The outdoor space was a lovely bonus, we used it regularly. The area is really nice and quiet as well, set back from the road so you don't have any traffic noise. And it's located really close to some great restaurants and nightlife.
Most of the communication with the hosts was excellent and timely.
Less-good things: the apartment is set in a funny nook between 2 garages, and the instructions for where the door was were unclear. Since I was arriving late at night, I had a hard time finding the unit. I would recommend leaving the exterior light at the front door on when you know you have guests checking in after dark.
Next, the sound insulation isn't very good between units. The person staying in the unit above me was awake and watching the news very early in the morning (4-5am) and woke me up every day. Not a huge inconvenience since I was there for work, but something to be aware of.
Finally, when I originally reached out to the host, they offered me a discount on the nightly rate since I was staying for 12 days, and said to just make the booking and we would sort out the additional discount when I arrived. I reached out to them near the end of my stay to work that out, but they never replied.
As someone who grew up in the Bay Area, and worked at Sunset Magazine when it used to be down the street from University Avenue, I am soooo grateful to have a place to stay going forward. My elderly Momma is only 15 minutes away, so it was super-convenient. The apartment was quiet (off the main street), clean, and thoughtfully-appointed. The owner was very responsive and helpful. My husband and I will definitely be staying here again!! (The garage is tricky to get into, but my husband managed it and we were grateful for it. The neighborhood seems very safe, so if a renter has a larger vehicle, it wouldn't be a big deal.) Highly recommend.
This is a small apartment that is very nicely updated and well laid out so the two of us were very comfortable. The little oasis of a backyard really did make it a gem and the location is super convenient. The owners/property managers are very responsive and helpful.
We stayed at this property due to the proximity to Stanford Hospital where a family member was being treated. This was so close not only to the hospital but to shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again in the future should the need arise.
Stayed in this lovely little apartment for 2 nights. It is perfect for 1-2 people. Clean, nicely appointed/decorated and location is great! Has a nice back yard. Didn't get to spend time there as raining during entire visit. I would stay again and recommend it
