Great Location

We stayed here for 4 days, the location is fantastic. Walking distance to the beach and good restaurants. The unit and appliances are a bit old but in working condition. Overall it was a pleasant stay!

A quick review . Some quirks but nice

The location was great. Bathrooms were really dirty with mildew that i cleaned. (That was ok as I am sure finding good workers at this time is difficult). In general the place is musty as most beach places with carpet are. The freezer door to fridge doesn’t open all the way as it hits the wall. Its very difficult to put a bag of ice or food into. Dishwasher door doesn’t open down the entire way as it hits the oven . Loading dishes on the bottom is difficult.. If you are eating out most of the week then no worries about cleaning the dishes. Beds were comfortable. So was the couch. Loved morning coffee on the balcony . Plenty of pots and pans. Washer and dryer worked fine.. Overall the place was sufficient. Russell is really nice.

Relaxing location - 4.5 stars in my book!

Overall, we had a great stay at this property. However, we did have to go through and spray down the floors for ants when we arrived (that time of the year!) and thoroughly clean dishes that we needed to use that were put away dirty. Overall, it was a spacious apartment and our neighbors were very friendly. I caution anyone wanting to walk on the piers in the back as we found them unstable.

Great stay. Fun week.

Bayside, about two miles north of the boardwalk. Peaceful except for the children running back and forth morning and evenings in the condo above. Within walking distance of a supermarket. King bed was too soft for my back. All else was great. Would rent here again.

Awesome weekend!

My husband, brother and his gf had a great weekend getaway. Place was super clean and roomy. Quiet area. Only thing was- not that we “party” but in the details it stated “no loud music,noises or parties because it is a violation of police ordinances” NO PROBLEM! However the group of what sounded like we’re college guys above us- sounded like hippos 24/7, drinking all day and night long, at one point I thought they were coming through the ceiling. Kept us all up all night both nights. All in all we had a great 2 days away from reality and would definitely use Russell’s place again. Thank you!

Great place, great owner

Everything was just as described. It is a little bit off the main Coastal Highway, which was a positive as the location was very quiet and peaceful. Communicating with Russell was easy and he was very responsive. Had absolutely no issues with anything.

Great Stay in OC

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the condo. Russell was great to work with. The location and size of the condo were perfect for our needs. The condo looks a little dated BUT everything worked and that was fine with us. There was plenty of space in the condo. A walk-in closet in each room. The king room had its own bathroom. There was a bathroom in the hallway that the girls shared which was off of second bedroom. The view from the deck was nice. I was surprised to see that the back deck is not closed off. Each deck was open to anyone who used the stairway. Not a dealbreaker but an odd setup for the deck. We still enjoyed watching the sun set which was beautiful from the deck. My daughter and her friend loved the Coffee Beanery which was on 94th st. They walked there every morning. ACME and Roses were both off of 94th St. which was very convenient. You could drive, walk or catch the bus (my daughter and her friend all day) anywhere. This is definitely a place we would consider again in the future. Thanks again Russell for being quick to respond and answer any questions I had.

Roomy private condo

Nice quiet location on the bay. The condo was very dated with lots of room. It certainly wasn't the cleanest place we have stayed in. Bathrooms could use either a good cleaning or remodeled, master bath had a shower only which wasn't really the cleanest and the 2nd bath, the faucet ran 24/7.

Nothing fancy, but clean and perfect location.

Russell was friendly and accommodating. Like other reviews indicated, the place is nothing fancy, but was perfect for myself, my wife and our two teenagers. Location is great! Close enough (and far enough) from the beach. We would stay here again. The only suggestion would be a new mattress on the king bed.

Beautiful Bay side time.

We had a great time!! Clean relaxing place. Had a couple rainy days and enjoyed lounging around the condo and watching the storm pass over the Bay. Everything is close by. We will be back!!

Nice canal view, walkable to beach

I will say I have stayed in fancier places, but this condo was fine for me and my family of five to stay and enjoy OC for a few days. The owner, Russell, was very responsive and friendly. The cleaning company does a good job and it was nice that we didn't have to do much cleaning upon exit, as I have had to do at some other rentals. The back porch was very pleasant; I sat there each morning having coffee and watching/photographing the Green Herons hanging out there. The neighbors were pleasant and friendly. The condo itself is a bit old; I could wish for better bathrooms and appliances, but nothing was terrible. The walk to the beach was somewhat lengthy, but I want for us all to get the exercise, so this was not a negative for me. It would be for someone who struggles to walk a ways, though. The bed was comfortable and the shower water pressure was terrific. I was overall satisfied with this rental.

Cozy bayside condo - comfortable and quiet.

Very pleasant accommodations - my first experience staying bayside. It was a simple, but comfortable, condo in a quiet complex... with all the conveniences we could want, including 2 TV's and a bunch of books to help sustain us through a rainy day. The kitchen was nice, and the Acme was close enough to walk to. Our landlord was very congenial. I would definitely stay here again.
