Beautiful and Serene

Christmas vacation

We all enjoyed the property. The directions needed updating. The property is very long so the gps pinned it at the top of the mountain instead of at the cabin. The access to the river was a big hit with us.

Great time

The deck and screened in porch were perfect for sitting outside relaxing. Really enjoyed our stay except for the bear encounter and the crazy roads.

River walk

We really liked the gated dog area. It’s a very short walk to the river. Both dogs liked the swimming, Rosie batted around acorns, chewed on acorns, barked at the deer, she got car sick both directions going up and down the narrow windy road. Yes we would stay here again. Oh, the cabin has everything!!!

Very quiet and private

Very relaxing day and night the wildlife and peaceful surroundings, even though it was during the wildfires we had some smoke in the areas but we aren’t city people so it didn’t bother us. I had family from Texas , Oregon, Arizona. All meet us in our hometown of Placerville Ca. And visit family still in area

Quiet escape

The narrow, winding mountain roads which led to this comfortable cabin in the woods added to the feeling of escape from fast-paced life. It is a quiet, comfortable and well-stocked home, ready to welcome another guest seeking solitude.

Great getaway in wine country

This remote cozy home on the river had everything we needed. The river was so beautiful and peaceful. It is a remote location and definitely feels like you are staying in someone’s country home. This experience may not be for everyone but we loved it. Rustic, peaceful, well stocked.

Great Cabin Like on Hills

Overall great experience at this house, the only negative is the lack of wifi. However, everything else covered for this, keeping in the mind the many curves to get to it. Very clean and adorable house with lots of natural light and environment.

Clean property and very close to the river. Sly park was very low so we ended up just floating in the very relaxing stream. Place literally has everything you need.

Big Oak Cabin

So peaceful - nice setup with a fenced yard for our dogs and a screened in deck. Everything we needed was there. Owner was so nice and worked with us on details.

Girl’s Weekend

We had a great time at this cute cabin. It was clean and cozy. The kitchen was very well equipped. The beds were comfortable. The owner was very responsive to questions. The setting in the trees beautiful - the full package! Plan on visiting again.

River and forest escape

We attended a wedding nearby so did not spend much of our two days at the property. But the time that we did was great. Our 4 yr old daughter especially loved the River and many animals on the property. The host was awesome and even left us a bottle in f wine! Highly recommend

Placerville stay 2021

Wonderful cabin even though it is pretty far out there! Very peaceful with just a short walk to the river. Everything you can think of is available and we really enjoyed our stay. I would definitely recommend it if you are going to Placerville or Plymouth.

Amazing!!!!

We enjoyed our stays, very clean, great location, well equipped from kitchen, toiletries and even sanitation items. Kids had fun we enjoy the quiet view and the rive.The pathways are pretty awesome heading the river, we suggest if they can put sign the way to the river we gets excited and explore the river and passed the neighbor property which is causing the neighbor gets upset. But overall it was great weekend getaway!!!! And will definitely coming back.

There were signs telling us to go back at the start of the private road. We should have listened

We were greeted by a sign telling us to turn back at the start of the private road. There wasn't even a warning from the owner in the directions. The owners feed cats on the patio, which brings families of skunks right to the glass door. They told us there were feral cats, but there was cat food in the laundry room and a full bowl on the patio, and a cat door into the garage. We couldn't be outside, or even open a window. We tried to explore the creek, which was our reason for booking, but the neighbor told us we were trespassing. Once the skunks were clear we packed up and left. We told Evolve that we fled the property the next day, and demanded at least a refund for the nights we vacated. After months of trying to call and only being able to leave emails after hours on hold, I was told to pursue the matter with my credit card company as the owner had not responded. We couldn't stay in the property! I have stayed in a property that had to have a wasp nest removed, but have never complained before. I never had such a terrible experience with a property or management company.
