Decent building/noisy area/ very poor host/ lots of issues with ammenities
Four males/two couples aged 65-74. First, we booked a two bedroom two bathroom in this building. When we arrived we were told by the owner and host that we were being upgraded to a three bedroom two bath because they knew we were different and thought we might need a extra bedroom. The upgrade was spacious and a large balcony. We spent two months here and in chatting with ours we were informed that there was no two bedroom/two bathroom in the building. We also talked to several other couples who booked in this building and did not get what they paid for, they were either upgraded or downgraded. A lot of very unhappy guests. Upon arriving we were informed that we had to turn the taps on very quickly and let the water run for at least twenty mins for it to get hot. Only to find out that there was only hot water in one shower. Four adult men in a tropical country need hot water to shower. For 7 weeks we heated water on the propane stove to do dishes. At one point the power was disconnected to our suite and it was off for 18 hours. Our suite was the only one without electricity. The last week we were there we had no gas for the stove and thus no hot water for dishes and to shower or shave or clean. We ate all meals out for the last six days and showered at the homes of our friends and acquaintances in the building. The owner of the condo was a decent friendly guy but his host does not speak English, and very seldom returns a text after several of us from our suite.
