Needed to find a place that had space to park my boat so we could fish/crab in the Nehalem Bay Area.
The property host, Candice, promptly responded telling me the driveway would fit my boat, though I might have to unhitch and park my truck in the second parking spot, so I booked the house.
The day of our scheduled arrival, Candice let me know I could arrive early if I wanted to.
On arrival, the provided door code got us in to find a well equipped, comfortable house.
Didn’t need the ADA features of the home, but the shower had great water pressure, and who doesn’t appreciate a heated toilet seat that air-dries your bum🙂
The only cleanliness issues I noticed were a couple of long blonde hairs on the pillows in the master bedroom, and under the couch in the living room was pretty dusty, which I only noticed because I had dropped something.
That being said, I would definitely stay here again.

It was a great quiet spot for a house. A quick drive to anything you wanna do in nehalem or manzanita. We enjoyed the fire pit and traeger. House is exactly as pictured, and clearly updated recently. 10/10 recommend!
Super clean! Having the back yard for our pup was such a life saver! Comfortable beds! Laundry soap available (thank goodness because of course I forgot to bring some) . We loved this house and are already planning a trip back! Thank you again for opening your home to us! We had a blast!
Our family of 5 had a great stay. Beds were comfortable. Place was super clean. Quick responses to questions. Lots of extras provided especially in the kitchen. Backyard was perfect for our pup. We enjoyed having access to the extra fans on the really hot days. Would love to stay again
A beautiful home that's comfortable & inviting. Great backyard for kids & dogs. The beach was further away than it says in the description, but there were so many positives it didn't matter. Property manager was friendly & prompt when I contacted her about wasps nest. A great place to go & would highly recommend it!!

This pet friendly home was a great vacation home for our family and my elderly parents. The yard is fenced in, which allowed my dogs to have fun and run around. The home was very clean, and the kitchen was very well appointed for all of our meals. The neighborhood is nice to walk around, and it is not too far from Nehalem or Manzanita. I would consider returning here for future family getaways.
Lovely property off the coast. Super convenient for our purposes a wedding in Nehalem and sightseeing a truly spectacular part of the country. Quiet and comfortable would definitely recommend and if there’s ever another opportunity to visit the Oregon coast would stay again!
This house is so cutely decorated and is situated close to great restaurants (our favorite was Wanda’s Cafe), trails, the beach and the bay.
Our family enjoyed a movie night cuddled on the sectional couch and snacked on the popcorn provided by the owners. Our daughter enjoyed the bunk bed and games provided. The kitchen had plenty of space to cook and entertain.
Our daughter’s favorite feature of the house was the robot toilet (bidet 😄).
My husband was able to make use of the wifi to get some work done while the girls slept and the cell service was strong in the area.
We would definitely stay here again and we are looking forward to our next visit.
This place had everything you could need and more. So many lovely little touches that made our stay awesome.
Light switches labeled. Lots of hooks for towels. Very comfortable beds and sheets - my boys loved the bunk bed. Extra device chargers bedside. Wifi password easy to find. Kitchen has all the extras - you can bake and cook from scratch if you desire. We enjoyed the select game and puzzle collection.
Overall, great place and would stay again and recommend to others.

About the host
Hosted by Property Manager Candice Clark
Kindel & Dennis are natives of the Pacific Northwest. We grew up spending lots of time camping, hiking and fishing on the North Oregon Coast and love Nehalem Bay State Park.
We want to serve the disabled community with our home. We have two adult children and the youngest has a disability and is in a power wheelchair. We know how hard it is to find a wheelchair accessible vacation rental! Manzanita (2 miles away) is our favorite beach town. The city has beach wheelchairs available to check out.
Most of Dennis' family lives in Tillamook and all of his aunts and uncles and many cousins worked at the Tillamook Cheese Factory at one time or another. In fact, you can see a life sized photos of his cousin Dale Baumgartner in the cheese factory where Dale was the head cheese master for many years.
Why they chose this property
We love that our home is just a block off of Nehalem Bay where there are incredible vistas, sunrises and sunsets. In fact you can carry your kayak or paddle board and drop it right in the bay. The sky here is always amazing and so is the wildlife you can see. Birds galore, seals, otter and a resident herd of elk are all in on display in the area. (Please keep your distance, be respectful and don't litter, help us keep this wild animals around!) Even though our home isn't right on the beach you can still hear the ocean and it's wonderful sound to go to sleep to at night. The neighborhood is very quiet and tranquil with lots of great walking and bike riding.
What makes this property unique
Our home is great for small families, with a lovely fenced backyard - young children and your dog are safe. We are set to accommodate individuals with disabilities as well. There is a ramp to the main entrance, the bathroom is completely accessible (shower seat or shower wheelchair available on request) and we have a twin medical bed. Enjoy being in close proximity to great hiking, Nehalem Bay State Park, 2 boat ramps for fishing & crabbing on the Nehalem River and the bay. The house is 2 miles from Manzanita Beach (voted the BEST beach in Oregon in 2023). Tons of great restaurants in the area leave you lots of options to enjoy and explore. It's a short jaunt up the coast to Cannon Beach and Seaside as well as down the coast to Wheeler (some great antiquing here), Rockaway Beach, Tillamook and Cape Mears Lighthouse.
