We had everything we needed for our ski vacation. Property was close to grocery stores and short drive to ski area. Property manager was responsive and delightful to work with. We’d definitely stay here again!
This was the perfect casita for a cozy couple getaway. My husband and I loved having beautiful hiking and fishing so close. Everything you would need is provided in the casita for an extended stay. The views are beautiful! I would highly recommend this location for someone who wants to be close to town without being in the middle and plans to spend most of their time hiking and fishing. You are close enough to take a day trip to ski valley but it’s quite a distance away if your entire vacation is centered around skiing. Highly recommend!!
We hsd a great stay at Jean's house. We know the area well, and picked it for that reason. The dark sky rules make stargazing truly awe-inspiring.
Regarding the house itself:
- the bed was comfortable
- the house was very clean, and had a warm feeling (unlike some rentals which can feel sterile)
- the thermostat was connected to the gas "wood stove" which was really neat
- the views are beautiful
- it was very clean
- we filled up the hummingbird feeder and had daily visits from a couple of hummingbirds even though it wasn't the season
- Jean's brother introduced us to his two horses across the street, and that was a real treat
Jean was very responsive throughout our stay. We loved staying there and would love to come back again.

Everything about this little casita was perfect. Location, views, amenities, etc.! We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend a long weekend. Jean was incredibly generous and responsive. We will definitely stay here again!
We loved this home and its location out of town. Jean is a wonderful understanding person and was readily available for communication with us for little details on our stay. The home is absolutely packed with top tier kitchen utensils and pots, pans, spices etc etc. Truly you probably only need ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise and any food you may want to prepare. Everything is brand new and nothing has been overlooked on details. Probably if I HAD to say anything for improvement would be more shelves to put our luggage on or more drawers for putting away. I must say though we stayed for 6 nights and had packed a lot for our 4 days of snow skiing in Angel Fire so we had packed quite a bit of clothes and gear. Overall the house and contents are new and it’s very comfortable. Can’t beat the price and privacy! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a cozy retreat 👍
This place was clean and cozy, with all the amenities you could need. Ms. Jean was extremely quick to respond and very helpful. And being only 40 minutes from the ski valley, it was very convenient for what we needed. 10/10

I'm originally from St. Louis but my true home is Northern New Mexico. Came here on vacation 15 years ago and settled in Santa Fe about 8 years ago. I own Garcia Street Books in Santa Fe and I am a Transformational Coach partnering with horses. I bought this darling little place with the most incredible views and look forward to sharing it with you.
