Boulder Place Lookout is truly a skier's paradise located at mid-mountain Northstar amongst towering pines and snow capped mountain vistas. Just minutes from the Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe and the Big Springs Express Gondola, your winter sanctuary combines the comfort of a luxury home with immediate access to incredible amenities. If obtaining first tracks is a priority, this home is the obvious choice. Call the Mountainside Shuttle and your pick-up and drop-off should be seamless.
While you wait, the sleek design elements of today’s mountain modern architecture will appeal to those in your group who prefer an urban and contemporary style with select touches of traditional. The open floor plan and bright, spacious interior of Boulder Place Lookout was designed to accommodate groups of family and friends comfortably. The spacious great room gives the illusion of an infinity room set under the stars with full-height walls of glass and sliding glass doors opening to exterior decks and expansive views of the Carson Range. Natural wood on the walls and ceilings emphasize the indoor-outdoor connection, while steel and concrete create a visual contrast to the wood and glass.
Seating for all is plentiful with a breakfast nook, formal dining area, and counter seating for five at the center island. For guests desiring single-level living, the primary suite is on the entry level. Additional features include hardwood flooring throughout, designer lighting, a chef’s kitchen with professional-grade appliances, three guest suites and a two-car garage. A family room invites all to gather with a large sectional sofa, pool table, poker table, and 70" television. Unwind in the hot tub at days end.
Outdoor spaces are cleverly laid out around the natural landscape, including many of the Mountainside neighborhood’s namesake granite boulders. For those interested in environmental friendliness, sustainable features include natural ventilation, innovative mechanical systems, day lighting with sun shading, and rainwater harvesting.
Perhaps the best feature of the community is that stays include full access to all Mountainside amenities, including a yoga studio and Play Acre for the kids, as well as the stylish and cozy Tree House with its plush sofas, full bar, fitness room, swimming pool, hot tub, outdoor cooking stations and seating, and games.

"Mountainside’s Play Acre is designed specifically for kids, creatively blending nature, imagination, and outdoor play. Located just steps from all of Mountainside’s on-mountain properties, families can walk to Play Acre without crossing or walking along roadways. This unique kid space lives within the landscape, and features natural play structures connected by a network of log and stone crafted trails. Stone steps reach the top of a 30-foot stainless steel slide that follows the natural terrain. Log and boulder scrambles let kids test their climbing skills, while an outdoor amphitheater with stage, tiered stone seating, and oversized instruments offers a venue to make music or entertain an audience.
Take the lift or a quick stroll down to Northstar Village, an all-seasons escape with a dozen dining choices, excellent shopping, a movie theater, and even a full-service wellness center, offering everything from healing sports massages to indulgent facials, yoga sessions and more. The Village also keeps a packed schedule of family-friendly events throughout the year, including group stargazing, retro ice skating nights, mini-golf tournaments, music.
Nestled into a spectacular rock outcropping, the studio provides owners a serene space for yoga, meditation and stargazing taking in the mountain’s natural surroundings. The studio includes a southern exposure deck with foldaway doors opening to a tranquil mountain sanctuary. Download the Mindbody app and click on our studio, Mountainside at Northstar, to view the latest on schedules and register for classes."
Please note that during the Spring and Fall seasons, when Northstar's winter and summer mountain operations are closed, the Highlands Gondola, Village restaurants and retail outlets run on a modified schedule. Expect limited, or closed, dining and shopping options during these periods - typically between the end of ski season through late June and after Labor Day through mid-November.

Noise shall be minimized in order that it not be an unreasonable annoyance, disturbance or nuisance to neighbors.
Lights Out: All exterior lights that are not needed for safety must be turned off between the hours of 10pm-7am, seven days a week. Per the Ordinance: All exterior lights must be turned off that are not needed for safety or other outdoor use to the extent that such other outdoor use is not an unreasonable nuisance to neighbors.

Winter Driving
Many highways, access roads and/or driveways are steep in Tahoe/Truckee and may be icy in the winter. To ensure your safety, it is critical that during November 1st - April 30th brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires need to be properly inflated and the tread must be in excellent condition. Always carry tire chains, even if driving an AWD/4WD vehicle. Make sure the chains are the proper size for your tires and are in working order. You may find valuable winter driving tips from the CHP here: https://bit.ly/3IKiY7n
Summer Patio Furniture
Patio furniture is available for your use during summer months only. All outdoor tables, chairs and loungers are put into storage in the fall, in order to protect the furnishings from winter weather. Barbecue grills, however, do remain outside for your enjoyment.
Black bears are very common in this area and have become habituated to human food and garbage. Because bears no longer have a strong fear of humans, you may encounter bears during your spring, summer and fall stays. Feeding bears is illegal. Leaving food outside, trash accessible, or doors and windows unlocked is likely to cause significant property damage to homes and to vehicles. Please take a moment to learn how to be Bear Aware, so that we can continue to live in harmony with our wil
