Loved the Cornfield Inn! The Inn is cozy, clean, and has all the amenities! The Inn's location is excellent; it is bookended by cornfields and cows nearby and mountains in the distance. Only a short drive is needed to reach Luray and Skyline drive. 5 stars!
I’ve stayed at many VRBO properties over the years and the Cornfield Inn is one of my favorites. It was THE cleanest VRBO property I’ve rented. The location and views were spectacular. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Becky and her husband were very kind and relaxed. I can’t say enough great things about this property and am already thinking about a return trip.
My family came for a long weekend and we had a lovely time. The views were amazing! The cows were so friendly and curious of our little dog who had the best time running around the yard. We loved hanging around the firepit, grilling on the charcoal grill, watching the wildlife and viewing the mountains and stars. Shenandoah National Park was a quick drive and we were able to get firewood and ice at a gas station less than 2 minutes away, which were the only things we needed. The house was big enough for 5 adults and the beds were very comfortable. We hope to come back soon!
We adored this property and hope to come back someday.
It was put together and clean. Rooms and BEDS were very comfy. AC units did more than do the trick to keep it cool. Check in and out was so easy and didn’t even have to strip beds or start laundry like otter rentals ask you to.
Communication to the owners was amazing, quick, clear and kind. Thanks Becky!
Even the internet was really great!!! Better than any VRBO I’ve been to.
Love love love the cows. 1055 was our favorite and even came to run and see us. We miss the farmhouse so much already!!!
Wonderful house and location for a family trip to Luray
Our family (kids 15 and 11) stayed at the Cornfield Inn for a long weekend trip to Luray. We highly recommend it! The house is spotless with plenty of room for the 4 of us. The kitchen was well stocked and there was a large TV in the living room where we could access streaming services for "family movie night". The location is perfect for local activities. We were minutes from the entrance to Skyline Drive and Luray Caverns - also just a short drive to main street Luray and grocery stores. There are beautiful views from all sides of the house and we particularly enjoyed seeing the cows and visiting the baby calves. Check in/out was easy and communication with the owner was great. I don't think you could find a better place to stay in Luray! We hope to be back soon!
Beautiful old farmhouse. Probably the cleanest VRBO we’ve ever stayed in. Centrally located to Shenandoah National Park and river activities. Less than 10 minutes to Luray Caverns. One bathroom was a bit tight for 5 people, but the bathroom itself was spotless. Air conditioner in the back upstairs bedroom was loud, but kept the room cool. VERY comfy beds!
This is a great place to stay in Luray. The house is nestled in with the cows and fields, and the owners even gave our kids a tour of the dairy operation. The house is very clean with mountain views in almost every direction.
If I could give this 10 stars I would. What an amazing experience at the Cornfield Inn. Great location, beautiful land with panorama views of mountains and farm land all the way around. We watched the sunset over the mountains every night. The cows are so friendly and come right over to say hello. We also saw wild deer in the morning and cute little cotton tail bunnies. Cleanliness was top of mind here, felt so great. Our family was able to meet us there for family dinners and have the space to play in the front yard. The pictures just don’t give it justice. The kitchen was much larger than we thought and everything was stocked and thoughtfully provided. Becky was great and so easy to work with. We will DEFINITELY be back! Thanks for letting us stay with you!
We loved our stay at the farmhouse. We couldn't have been more comfortable. Great location. Very close to the town of Luray and not far from Front Royal. Also a short drive to Shenandoah National park. A special thanks to the cows who stopped by our backyard to say hello. A great vacation experience.
We've stayed in 6 different VRBOs and they were all great. The Cornfield Inn however is the best! The farm house is very clean and well stocked. The owner is very easy to work with. The price is a great value. The farm, fire pit, and cows were great. We also really enjoyed the firefly fireworks every night. The location is perfect! We brought our bikes and rode the back country roads into town most every morning. We went downhill mountain biking at Massanutten. We saw the Luray Caverns, hiked Old Rag, went to Big Meadows, saw a movie in Luray at the classic old style theater, took an ATV ride with Appalachian Adventures, ate some awesome food at nearby restaurants, and had locally distilled corn whiskey! It was an awesome place to stay!! Definately want to come back soon.
The property was as advertised. The rooms were nice-sized. It was very clean. The cows visited!
I would suggest tissues, napkins, paper towels, and a larger non-stick skillet.
Lovely peaceful Farm House near Shenandoah National Park
Clean quaint quiet private lovely farmhouse, cows and mountain view from every window.
Everything was lovely and we had a wonderful getaway weekend- just what we needed.
We had a great time staying at the Cornfield Inn! The house was large and surpassed our expectations. The kitchen was fully stocked and we used the grill a couple of times too. It's right next to a dairy farm and we loved when the cows would come to greet us every day. We would definitely stay here again the next time we come to visit Shenandoah!
The farmhouse was spacious and comfortably accommodated a family of 4. The kitchen was fully equipped with microwave, dishwasher, plates and silverware. There was a grill but we did not use it. The house is set off from the road so it's peaceful and quiet with the occasional sounds of cows mooing. The house is about a 10 minute drive to the Luray caverns and into town for restaurants and groceries. The entrance to the Shenandoah park and Skyline Drive is a also conveniently located. The property is dog friendly which we loved. The owners live next door but their house is situated behind a thicket of trees so it felt very private and made check in/check out very convenient with no codes or lockboxes required.
The listing doesn’t do it justice, if you’re headed to Luray BOOK IT! The cleanest vacation home in a fun location, perfect with kids!
Stayed here for the weekend with 3 kids ages 3, 6 and 9. We came to Luray to celebrate my oldest birthday, while being covid conscious, we were looking for something close to the fun, but that allowed us to cook and stick to ourselves a bit, Cornfield inn was perfect!
The cleanest vacay on property I’ve ever stayed in, with 3 kids all over the floors I really appreciated it. Well appointed big kitchen, we didn’t miss anything that wasn’t there, and if you need something you’re super close to town.
The house is cozy, beds were comfy and had gorgeous Mountain view all around, was so nice to wake up to the sunrise! The sunsets don’t disappoint either.
And then there’s the cows, right next to the home, my kids (and myself) were in heaven, they came and greeted us each day, there’s also LOTS of space for the kids to run off the energy in the fields, plus a big tv + internet so when we were exhausted from the day take out and family movie night for the win.
Perfect place to stay to enjoy downtown Luray, the caverns and the mountains. We will be back!
We have stayed in Luray, Virginia three times over the last five years for family hiking trips to the Shenandoah Valley area and the Cornfield Inn was by far our favorite place to stay. Our girls loved meeting the cows, living in a farm house on a dairy farm, playing sports outside with plenty of room, picking fresh corn to enjoy as a family, and it was perfectly located for hikes every day. Becky was so helpful also when we had car troubles. We highly recommend the Cornfield Inn.
We had a great time - the house was really nice and had everything we needed. It is in a great location for canoeing on the river and seeing the Luray Caverns.
We are a family of 5 with a dog and we had an excellent stay at Cornfield Inn. We played at the National Park and it allowed easy access to that while providing a place to relax in the evenings.
Our family of four just returned from a wonderful three night stay at the Cornfield Inn! We enjoyed the peaceful setting with beautiful vistas on every side of the house. There was plenty of space for the family to spread out, and the large kitchen was great for cooking and eating in. All appliances worked well! AC was very comfortable on hot July days during our visit. Becky was very easy to communicate with and most helpful. We would love to return here for future visits to this beautiful area. Highly recommended!
My family and I met some friends here to spend a couple days together. The scenery was beautiful, in the valley between two ridge lines. Our 2 yr old daughter loved the cows. Short distance to town (5 min) and Shenandoah NP. Place very well kept, clean, stocked with plenty of kitchen items, comfortable beds.
Comfortable farm house near Luray with great views and location
Place was perfect for a weekend getaway from the city to the countryside. View of farmland and mountains on either side of farmhouse. Expansive lawn out front for soccer or whatever running around your kids need to do. Curious cows stopping by, rabbits scampering, deer wandering through. Easy access to Luray and short drive to great hiking trails all around. Friendly owners live in house nearby on the active dairy farm. Everything was great and we definitely would do it again.
Two families stayed for the Thanksgiving weekend in this beautiful farm house!!! Quiet place, big rooms, clean, near attractions, near town, quick owners response, love the cows, beautiful sunsets, etc. We will back soon!!!
We had a wonderful time at the property. The kids loved looking at the cows. The bedrooms were roomy and comfortable. Quick drive to the caverns and into town.
