We absolutely love Brookings and we love Rainbow Rock but this particular unit exceeded our expectations. We didn’t do too much because we were so happy to just hang out and enjoy the amazing view. We are already planning our return trip!!!
This property fit our needs. Beautiful and comfortable. View was fantastic. The only thing I would suggest is a shade on the windows in the nook area. Neighbors and people walking the trail can see in, so it felt like a fish bowl at times.
Loved it here the view was amazing Brook was wonderful

The views were beautiful from Brooks place overall very quiet and enjoyable! The trail to the beach was a bit steep for me personally. However once down the beach was awesome!
The condo was spotlessly clean, and no picture could do justice to the fabulous view. Except for a short power outage, everything worked as expected. We would most definitely stay at this location again.
I chose this property because it is listed as wheelchair accessible. My mom is disabled and requires a level entrance & exit, and the ability to get a wheel chair into a bathroom. The owner was super patient and accommodating with me - texting, sending pics, and video chatting. It was very helpful. There is a very steep, rail less, ramp in front of the unit, which I wouldn't recommend for a wheelchair, but there is a service road with a walkway that allows you level access to the unit. The master bathroom is accessible, but not ADA. You will need to bring your own shower & toilet chairs. It is also a little tricky getting into the bathroom to use the toilet with a chair, an awkward side transfer. I'm going to make a suggestion to the owner, and if she can/will make the change, it will alleviate some of this issue.
This is a great condo, with an awesome view, and down the trail (which is a bit steep), there is a private beach!! The condo was very comfortable, with a fireplace, lots of towels and a washer & dryer. The kitchen was sufficiently stocked. If you sleep warm, bring your own fan, because the bedroom windows look out on the walkway and there are no ceiling fans. It's on the north side of Brookings, which has lots of restaurant choices, or its a quick scenic drive up to Gold Beach through Boardman State Park. The owner responded quickly to all of my questions & issues. We loved this place, and hope to stay there again.
The location was convenient to Samuel H Boardman seashore. We hiked many of the trails during our stay. Viewing the ocean from the balcony is pleasant with humming birds, coastal flowers, and rock formations below. The owners are very helpful and offered informational very quickly. The bcomfortable
Our daughter decided that she wanted an Oregon coast wedding with just her father, sister, and I in attendance. We rented Watch the Waves for its spacious rooms and area for her to get ready in. It was PERFECT in every way. The location, the views, the amenities….all exceptional. All of the little extras meant so much to us. She had her dream wedding in the Samuel H Boardman coastal area and Watch the Waves will always be a part of our memories of this day. Thank you for being amazing hosts.
Brook's condo is very spacious and well laid out. The decor is beautiful and everything very comfortable. The views from the large windows are spectacular! The kitchen has nice high end items to cook with. Several trails through the woods as well as down to the beach kept us hiking. Just far enough away from town to feel secluded but a 5 minute drive gets you to groceries and restaurants. 10 stars in our book!
Every possible want was met. This was deluxe accommodations! It was cozy, modern, thoughtful. Brook is great at communication. The view was incredible, and the viewing alcove was awesome! We all want to come back!
We were expecting to be impressed by the impressive vista afforded by this property but were absolutely blown away by just how spectacular it is in person. On top of that, the condo has been tastefully updated and everything from the beds to the towels are super comfy. We had a truly wonderful experience....Thank you!
On a getaway to spend time with the hubby and celebrate my birthday, we had a great time! Brook’s condo is fabulous and the views are even better!! There were lots of extras, a chilled bottle of wine, candy, and everything was well stocked. We look forward to returning again in the future. Highly recommend staying with Brook!

About the host

I am a rural born and raised woman. My life has had many adventures which have always brought me back to my favorite place; the Oregon Coast. Brookings Oregon is my dream come true. I wanted to share this slice of perfection with my guests in a hope that you too can feel in awe of the majestic beauty that only this region can display. I am a Disney chick at heart ~ "Be our guest, be our guest... " is something that resonates with me in this fairy tale escape.
Why they chose this property
Located at the entrance to the Sam Boardman Scenic Corridor, the condo has private access to multiple beaches and a 1 mile + forest trail that will take you to Lone Ranch Beach. This is in a gated community just 1 mile outside of Brookings on a cliff overlooking the ocean.
What makes this property unique
Stunning view 180 feet above sea level on a cliff overlooking the Oregon coastline. Serene environment. Everything you need to feel rejuvenated without ever leaving the condo. You can watch storms, read a book, have a cup of tea or coffee or that wonderful glass of vino or cocktail all while escaping reality for your much needed vacation. I care about your comfort which includes, in my opinion a very comfortable bed and a retreat feeling without all of the extra fees.
