Very cute little house.
The house had all the things you need for a stay in Beech mountain. Everything is clean and nicely decorated. We were very comfortable the weekend we stayed. The WiFi worked well enough to stream shows and movies. Although we didn’t need it the a/c unit was leaking when we arrived and although we contacted Vacasa they did not respond or repair while we were there. Also, the cleaners left wet towels in the dryer so we didn’t have clean, dry towels but I’m sure this is not a normal occurrence and shouldn’t deter anyone from staying here. The fire pit and babbling creek are lovely and relaxing in the summer evenings. We would absolutely stay here again.

Relaxing Getaway
Walking in was just breathtaking to start the layout and the brightness of the place was perfect. The porch with the gate to give our dog the ability to go from the porch to the yard was great . We cook in most nights and had everything we needed from the coffee pot to a full equipped grill. Thanks for letting us have the getaway we were looking for.

Mold
My family and I stayed at the Beech hut, at the end of July 2024 , and it was a disappointing experience. The biggest issue was the mold at the property. It was particularly noticeable in the living room on the back of a picture and on the back of the rug, when we had to remove it when the a/c unit overflowed. The musty smell was overwhelming. The presence of mold made the air quality poor and left me feeling uncomfortable throughout my stay. The house itself had potential, but the mold problem really overshadowed everything else. On top of that we found a piece of a plug left in the kitchen outlet. This could have been catastrophic if someone had touched it. I wouldn’t recommend staying here until these issues are properly addressed.

Cozy and Convenient
We enjoyed our stay very much. The cabin is very convenient to Beech Mountain but just as convenient to the rest of the area - we went to Banner Elk, Hawksnest and Sugar as well and everything is about 20 minutes largely due to winding roads. The cabin was very clean and well put together and have comfortable beds. The latter is where we usually get unpleasantly surprised with rentals but these were great. The listing company was very communicative and made check in, out and asking questions if we needed to (didn't really) easy. Only gotchas I would mention - One parking spot is on an inclined single car driveway and the other is on a dedicated on-street spot. This worked just fine for us but a good FYI that wasn't clear from the listing itself. Also the washer/dryer are mini types and especially the dryer is not going to be as high strength as a typical residential model. You will need to check/clean the lint and it is not setup the same way as you are used to so read the instructions. Besides that, we had a lovely stay as a group of 4 and would stay again.
