Great stay

We had a great stay at this house. The house was stocked with pretty much everything we needed. The weather was nice enough that we grilled burgers and ate outside on the deck one night. Location was very convenient to the ND campus (would be a great option during football season). The only reason I rated the neighborhood 4 stars was due to the construction that required a little bit of a detour walking over…once they finish the repairs on Notre Dame Avenue it’ll be a breeze. It’s a really nice neighborhood and as a lifelong fan of ND, living there would be ideal.

Wonderful Home!

We had a great experience. This historic home has lovely decor and was very clean. It was well furnished and stocked with everything we needed. Communication was excellent and responsive. The best part was being able to walk easily to campus for graduation events. It is an excellent location near Eddy Street yet still in a quiet neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing property and location

Such an amazing historic home! The location was ideal for getting back-and-forth to campus. We loved all the special touches like having snacks and drinks there for us, a cornhole set for us to use on gameday morning, and charging plugs thoughtfully placed in the living room. We had such a great stay and the home had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again for a game in the future!

Nice and Convenient

The house is everything you want in a short term rental. It was clean, well stocked and everything worked well. Walking distance to restaurants, shops and Notre Dame. Great place!

Convenient, Clean and Charming

Our family enjoyed our first stay at this property so much that we returned again this trip. The house is impeccably clean with modern appliances and everything that you need for visiting South Bend.

718 St. Vincent Street was an excellent choice for our stay in South Bend! The place was spotless and very comfortable for my family. Alice was very inviting and did a fabulous job with communicating all the necessary information needed. We simply loved our stay!

Mere minutes from Notre Dame!

Cute home within walking distance of Notre Dame! Great location for football games, parent weekends etc! We really appreciated the ease of this spot as we moved our students onto campus! House is well stocked and set-up for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend!

Perfect location for ND weekend

This immaculate home is in a quaint neighborhood that is less than a 10 minute walk to campus. There were snacks and beverages available at our arrival and the owners were readily available by text or call. We will stay there again and again!

Great location, feels like home

Ideal location for a football weekend as you can walk everywhere in less than 10 minutes. House well appointed and Alice had it spotlessly clean upon our arrival. Beds are extremely comfortable; living area comfortable with new flat screent TV; kitchen spacious. Excellent neighborhood. Ideal for our party of 6. Would be our first place to book on our next trip with a larger group.

Great location and stay!

The house was incredibly clean and updated. It was also well stocked with pots/pans, cooler, condiments, coffee, etc. Special touches around the house made us feel very welcomed. Easy to get in touch with Alice via text, she gave lots of recommendations for places to eat and things to do. Also very close to ND campus, and in a lovely neighborhood. Overall, we all had a great stay! 😊

South Bend Family Reunion

Location, location, location! This wonderful home is centrally located and we were never more than 15 minutes away from food and fun. As we were not visiting for anything related to Notre Dame, we were pleasantly surprised to find the campus within a couple block walk. Enjoyed the shaded, green campus. We've stayed in several VRBO properties around the world...we were very impressed at the amenities provided by our hosts...the number of charging and plug outlets were unmatched! This will definitely be on our list upon returning to SB in the future. Thank you, Alice! slp TX

Wonderfull, could not ask for better!!

Nothing I can say will do this house justice, it was just perfect and has so many personal touches that made for a great stay. They had some nice amenities, like a few items in the refrigerator, wall hooks in the bedrooms, and several games for our kids.. Our grandson and nephew just loved the corn hole game they had set up. The property was extremely clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. Check in and out was easy, and the host was very responsive and helpful. The Location was perfect with a short walk to the Notre Dame campus. We highly recommend this beautiful house, and it is wonderful history was just a bonus. You can't go wrong with this house, if we have a chance will stay at this home again!!

Stay Like A Champion!

This lovely home was perfect for our weekend stay. We were delighted by the many thoughtful touches that made our stay feel like home. The home has been recently renovated, so it is immaculately clean, new, and very nicely decorated. The fridge, bathrooms and cabinets were fully stocked which helped make things easier for us. The deck in the backyard was ideal for bbq and dinner. However, the best part for us is the location. The home is a very short walk to the entrance of Notre Dame and the shops and restaurants on Eddy St. We enjoyed everything about our stay at this home and plan to come back again! Thank you Alice for the ease of communicating and sharing this lovely home.

Charming house. Great location. Excellent price/value

This property is a gem. Built in the late 1800s but in great condition, fully remmodeled and with all the convenience of the 21st century. Absolutely loved it. Within walking distance to ND, eating places at Eddy Street, Trader Joe’s and a lovely trail by the St Joseph river. The house is super clean and comes with all basic necessities to make your stay even more comfortable. Checking in and out was a breeze. If I ever become a property manager for a place offered through VRBO, Alice will be my role model. Her attention to details shows throughout the house. She is proactive in communicating with her guests, making you feel welcome Loved absolutely everything about our experience staying in this historic place. We are already planning our next stay here and will always treasure the good memories built from the week we spent in this charming house.

Best Kept Secret in South Bend

We booked this property for our son's baseball tournament being played in and around the South Bend area. What a gem this house is. It is located in an upscale and very quaint neighborhood. It is newly renovated with very nice finishes. The kitchen is large and equipped with everything needed to cook meals. The queen bedroom on the main floor is just darling. The two bedrooms upstairs were perfect for us and our grandchild. The house was impeccably clean and very well maintained. The back patio is private and even had a corn hole game that we played several times! The owner, Alice, could not have been better with all of her communications. If we had a question she would answer within minutes. She was absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend this property if you are going to be in the South Bend area. You will not be disappointed.

Practically Perfect in Every Way!

Husband and I spent Thanksgiving weekend at the St. Vincent House as we were in town to visit our son who is currently attending the University of Notre Dame. For our party of three, this home was perfect! House -- Looks exactly as pictured -- so charming and welcoming. Everything seemed new and was spotlessly clean. Three full size bedrooms (none ensuite), with super comfortable beds and fresh linens. The upstairs bedrooms (one twin room, one queen bed) are linked together -- you have to pass through the queen to get to the twins. Each room was well appointed and the wood blinds kept outside light out nicely! The full and half baths are both downstairs at the back of the house -- they are a bit of a walk in the middle of the night -- no problem for us. The bathrooms were sparkling -- the full bath has a large shower, fluffy towels and plenty of counter space. Half bath is off the FULL SIZE laundry room (bonus!!!) and was well stocked with hair dryer, iron, etc. Kitchen -- Beautiful gas stove, all stainless appliances -- everything first class. Our hosts had the fridge stocked with coffee (thank you for real drip coffee!), a variety of drinks and a huge basket of "high quality" (as college son called it) snacks which were so appreciated after a long day of travel. We could have cooked there but did not because all the restaurants on Eddy Street are only a three block walk away! There is a nice size dining room table (6 chairs) and dining room which connects the kitchen to the living/TV room. Living room was warm and inviting -- front door opens to this room. Nice sofa and two reclining chairs plus a big screen TV and DVD Player. The hosts have splurged for Xfinity premium cable so we had many channels to choose from. Samsung TV is compatible with Amazon Prime and, if you have a Netflix account, you can use that as well. The queen bedroom on the main floor is right off the living room. It had a sitting area in addition to the sleeping area which provided for quiet reading. Great heating - not sure if it has A/C. The charm of this 1888 home made everything cozy. We never felt cramped and always felt connected. Our hosts provided so many extra touches that the house felt more like a hotel! Location -- The bomb! Walking distance to ND Campus but no Eddy Street noise. There is PARKING at the house and a shaded deck w/grill and picnic table out back. Highly Recommended -- We will DEFINITELY be back!

Great location

This is a very cute, clean historic home, just blocks from campus that accommodated our family of five nicely. The home retains some of its historic charm but with updated kitchen and bathrooms. Check in process was extremely easy. Alice was easy to communicate with and responsive. She was also very accommodating and thoughtful, considering we were there over Thanksgiving. It is walking distance to campus, Eddy Street, and Trader Joe’s easily. We would definitely stay here again.

Notre Dame Summer Graduation visit

Charming house very close to Notre Dame University and Eddy Street. The owner provided all the amenities. The house felt very comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay. I would very much recommend this place to anyone who has a Notre Dame visit.
