Easily accessible from two major highways, the Stone Stack Cottage is nicely tucked in on an L-shaped street that ends in a cul-de-sac. On the street next to the cottage, there is additional space for parking available if needed. There is also an entrance to a short but scenic trail through the woods. On the other end of the trail, there is a small children’s park. The park sits adjacent to the trail in the woods and can be accessed via a path if you are feeling adventurous.

For those who appreciate outdoor adventures, the surrounding landscape offers hiking trails, wildlife spotting, and ample opportunities for stargazing. After a day of exploration, you can unwind by the stone fireplace, perhaps sipping on hot cocoa or a glass of wine, and relishing the tranquility of the mountain evenings.

You will have access to the ground floor and upper level (loft) of the house as well as the 1.5 acre outdoor space. The lower level of the house will be locked and off limits since it is currently being remodeled. All the other parts of the house are yours to use and explore. The same goes for the outside space with the exception of the pool and barn.

More details can be found in the guidebook and house manual that will be made available after the booking has been confirmed.

Important Points:

1) There are very specific instructions on how to operate the wood burning stove that are included in the house manual that is provided once the booking is confirmed.

2) There is an above ground pool on the property that is covered and not available for guests to access. The surrounding deck and pergola, however, are available to explore.

3) The Nintendo Switch has a security lock in place to protect it from being undocked. The reason for this is that there is less of a chance of it being dropped while it remains docked.

4) There house is very “smart”. There is smart lighting and an Alexa device in virtually every room. There is also a Ring security system. All of this is optional to use and details will be provided in the “house manual” after booking.

Nice lodge - well equipped house
Great house, well equipped, clean and cozy. We enjoyed our stay a lot. They have a pool outside that is not in service. Would be nice to have on a hot summer day. It rained during our stay so no complains here. Would definitely stay again.

Quick getaway
This beautiful cabin was great for us! The setting is very peaceful, with a yard great for littles to explore. A wondering rooster will sometimes greet you in the morning! The hosts are very thoughtful with all the amenities provided for use. We really enjoyed our time there!

About the host

Hosted by Sean Lavelle

Host profile image
We are a family of five that live in Wilmington, Delaware. In late 2022, we decided to invest in a property that we could rent out to others and also enjoy at least part of the time. We love the outdoors, going on hikes, adventuring and traveling as a family.

Why they chose this property

The area appealed to us because of the beautiful mountainside ambiance as well as the proximity to many great attractions. It is central to a lot of things, the Poconos included, and is generally just a very peaceful area to relax and getaway for a bit.

What makes this property unique

The property sits on 1.5 acres of beautiful property within a small, quiet neighborhood. There is no outlet at the end of the street, so traffic is minimal and there is even a walking path and children's park nearby. It is a one of a kind property that looks like no other house in the area.
