Beautiful, well maintained home in a lovely neighborhood. Home is well appointed. Walking distance to a great pond and Cape beaches are close by (5 minutes by car). A bathroom for every bedroom which worked out well for us. Also close to Chatham and Harwich shopping and dining and grocery store. The host was extremely responsive and answered all questions quickly.
Beautiful home, Convenient to everything, Minutes drive to beaches, Pond that’s more like a clean lake with sandy beach’s was a 3 min walk and definitely made the trip for us with young kids.
We’ve stayed here three times with another family and love it. The rooms are spacious and all have a bathroom. The basement playroom is perfect for our kids with foosball and ping pong. The house continues to to be updated: spectacular master bath and new refrigerator this year. The house is well stocked with kitchen utensils, towels and linens, and beach chairs. Best of all we love the quick walk to the sandy beaches on Buck’s Pond. Sara is excellent to work with and always responds quickly.
This house was a great place to stay for our family for the week. We loved having the pond down the road as an option for the days we didn’t want to go to the ocean too. The back deck was a nice option to eat and grill outside as well! If you want to be close to a lot of popular towns and have a nice place to stay for a bigger group, this house is a great option.
We enjoyed our stay at this house. It’s in a great location just a few blocks from a huge pond with a sandy beach. It was perfect for our little kids and adults too. The outdoor shower was convenient to wash off after being at the beach. The house is bright and open with plenty of space, comfy beds and a well stocked kitchen. We all really loved the rec room with a ton of board games, ping pong, and yoga mats. This room isn’t pictured in the listing but it was a big hit!
Our kids and grandkids loved staying at this spacious, well-appointed home. Room for all of us to relax and enjoy. Everything was just perfect. We already recommended it to friends!
The home, property and owners are very accommodating. The game room was a big hit.
The lakes are a short walk
Just over all wonderful and comfortable.
Will definitely plan to stay again.
We had a wonderful time in this beautiful home. It is so close to a wonderful beach where kids paddle boarded and kayaked. We were also close to the ocean and many fun activities. The home is spacious and the owners are so accommodating. We highly recommend it!
We just spent a great week at Kelly’s home near Buck’s Pond. The layout of the house was great for 6 adults and 4 kids. There was plenty of room for all of us and so many amenities. The outdoor shower was huge and very clean. The bedrooms were spacious and having all those bathrooms was very convenient. The proximity to the pond made going to the beach a breeze especially with the little children.
There’s no TV on the main living level and no cable but there’s a dish so plenty of internet viewing options. I enjoyed not having TV for a week, a true break.
I would highly recommend this home.
We just got back from our stay at Sara's home in Harwich and we had a wonderful time. The house is perfect: every bedroom has an en suite, the kitchen is stocked with everything you will need, the two 'living rooms' are comfortable and the bonus playroom has pingpong and foosball and lots of toys/games. The house was extremely clean and nicely decorated. The mattresses were very comfortable and there were plenty of sheets, pillows, comforters and towels (although we brought our own because doing all of that laundry before leaving on the last morning seems impossible). There were also plenty of beach chairs and even a wagon to pull your kids down to the beach in. Lastly, the beach is amazing. It's a pond, but seems more like a lake to me. The sand is soft, the water is clear and it's only a two block walk. Our kids even fished a few times. We would definitely stay here again!
Location was great, little kids loved Bucks Pond (just a short walk from the house), owner was very responsive, grocery store is very close, and house was just what we needed!
This property was perfect for our vacation. The house was clean, the owner was responsive, and the location was great. My only suggestion would be that hospitality be included as part the rental moving forward. The last day became a little stressful for us as we prepared to turn the property over. We will absolutely stay here again!
Superb accommodations at our favorite family vacation home! As usual, everything was terrific! Our third year at Sara’s place and we’ll be back next year, and for years to come!! 👍💕😎
Great house, beautifully decorated,
New deck, water toys (paddle boards etc.)

Perfect vacation home for our family!
Extremely well maintained and very comfortable home with a beautiful backyard and surrounding plantings.... Especially the hydrangeas! There is central air on each floor of the house with separate thermostats (with the exception of the lower level basement bedroom). However, that room was still cool and comfortable, although we would recommend a dehumidifier for use in that bedroom. Our two sons, their spouses, and their toddler boys (ages 1 and 3) joined us for the first half of our two week stay. Each family had their own "space" on their own floor, with all bedrooms having their own full baths. Plus, there was plenty of toy and game space to occupy everyone in the finished "game room" downstairs when the weather didn't cooperate. The kitchen was very well-equipped and the gas grill on the large deck performed admirably and was used often. But, perhaps the greatest amenity this home had for us, was the very short walk to the beautiful private association beach. The beach was perfect for our young grandkids, with the soft sand and shallow water... And, the home was equipped with a large red wagon that made bringing the beach chairs and toys an easy task! The home is ideally located for us.... A short drive to the supermarket and a nicely stocked wine and beer shop nearby. When we wanted to head to the ocean, beautiful Red River Beach is only a 10-15 minute drive down Depot Road. Great restaurants and ice-cream shops in nearby Harwich Port, too. And Cape Cod baseball is just down the street in Brooks Park in Harwich. The owner, Sara, was very attentive to any questions we had... It was a pleasure dealing with her! We will surely be back next year!

First class accommodation for a large family vacation
My wife and I with extended family were so very fortunate to have found and rented VRBO #3779728 on Cape Cod for the week of July 4th. The property was just about perfect for eleven of us (3 adult couples, 3 pre-teen siblings, and two toddler siblings). The toddlers bunked in with their parents in the top floor master bedroom. There were two bedrooms on the main floor for the family of five and we the grandparents had our own private suite in the finished walkout basement. Lots of bathrooms for everyone, fully air-conditioned except for the English basement with windows which stayed cool anyway, great relaxation, play and eating areas inside and outside. The large deck with grill, extra long picnic table and patio furniture overlooked a sizable yard that is screened naturally for privacy by a remarkable planting of large and thick evergreens. The basement game room with ping pong and foosball provided hours of enjoyment for the kids. Our crowd was too active to make much use of the multiple flat screen TVs, but they were nice to have available. There were living room/dens on two levels (main floor with the kitchen and upper floor loft). A real plus was nearby access to the extremely pleasant and private fresh water beach on Buck’s Pond. The house was very well-equipped for vacationers: linens, towels, kitchenware and basic supplies, grill with tools, games, beach chairs, outside shower with hot water, cleaning supplies, etc. The neighborhood is quiet and conducive to activities such as walking around one or both nearby lakes. Finally, for lovers of Cape Cod, the location is convenient to beaches of all types, ocean, bay and Nantucket Sound, and also to the wonderful surrounding towns. It was a pleasure doing business with the Sara, the owner, who seemed genuinely interested in the quality of our experience. She does require the tenants to leave the home in the fine condition in which it is found, which does demand some planning for those needing to make Saturday flights from Boston or Providence. We did ask her to address one challenge: that of slightly substandard clothes dryer performance. All in all, we would love to rent this property again in the future.

Wonderful rental for a family vacation on the Cape
This rental home was everything presented on VRBO and more. It is nicely decorated, well maintained and completely furnished.
Sara, the owner, is friendly, responsive, and very accommodating.
The location is perfect for access to Buck's Pond and a good central location for all Cape activities, especially Cape Cod League baseball.
Strongly recommended especially if you need a larger house for your family needs.

About the host
Hosted by Sara Grizzle
Hi! Thanks for viewing our home. My name is Sara Grizzle. I own a restaurant in NYC called Poco. It is located in the East Village.
I grew up in Enfield CT. We used to camp at Nickerson's when I was a kid. When we were teens, my mom started renting houses instead. She bought a house in Brewster about 20 years ago and now lives here full time.
We just love the Cape. We come about 8 times in the summer and then once a month in the winter. There is not a bad time on the Cape. The people are amazingly nice.
My husband's name is Arthur Donowski. We met about 7 years ago while he was a General Manager at Equinox Fitness in NYC. I thought he was so cute I couldn't even talk to him! He is the world's greatest husband and has been working so hard to get the house ready for rental.
We have a beautiful 2 year old daughter named Sage. She is the greatest thing I have ever done. She is funny, kind, caring, sweet and just amazing.
We are so happy to have this house for her.
Why they chose this property
You actually never have to get in your car again. The pond is a 5 minute walk away. This property is special because of its open floor plan and it is super sunny. The amazing deck is what sold us on this home and the beautiful pond. Being outside is what Cape Cod is all about.
You will be able to walk to the pond and sit out on the deck at night.
We are less than 1 mile to the bike path and Harwich Conservation Land.
What makes this property unique
You are going to love this home because you can play ping pong and fooseball. We have really created areas where you can find peace by reading a book or playing a game of ping pong.
And if you have kids, you need a fast internet. I got the fastest possible. All of your guests will be able to search the web at the same time in lighting speed.
