This is our personal home and set up with TWO adult bedrooms and TWO rooms that our child/teenage friendly.

This designer family home in Santa Barbara sits on one acre, a park like setting surrounded by eucalyptus trees, a large grassy lawn, organic gardens, chicken coop (Backyard eggs for breakfast?)
and a swimming pool, hot tub and child safe cover.
This home was built meticulously where comfort and luxury meet modern amenities.

Our home is set in a rustic neighborhood,
on a quiet lane.
- no thorough traffic because our home is on a cul-de-sac.
Horses meander by, fruit trees, and next to the bike path.
We back up to a seasonal creek.

Our home escapes the coastal fog (notorious to Santa Barbara during summer months) giving you a bright and sunny filled space to spend your days sunbathing by the pool, or soaking in the hot tub. You can embrace Santa Barbara indoor/outdoor life, our deck is a perfect place for al fresco dining while watching the sun sets behind the eucalyptus trees.

We have a large master bedroom with a king size bed, flat screen TV and cozy fireplace. Our master bath with a dual shower and giant sized tub, and heated marble tile floors. We provide complimentary robes to enjoy during your stay with oversized bath towels.
We have a guest room with a queen sized bed and private bath. There are two additional bedrooms, a bunk bed room with a full bunk over a full bunk sleeping 4.
The last room attached to the jack and jill bath has a queen bed.

ATTENTION BIKERS- Our home is 50 feet away from the Santa Barbara bike path, horse and jogging trails.
We have
1 beach cruiser,
3 mountain bike, and one child size bikes that you can enjoy during your stay.
We are two blocks away from Ridgewood Horse Farm (My girls loved to feed the horses apples and carrots)

Great place!

The house was perfect for us and our two daughters. Lots to do in and around the location - biking, hiking, beach. Comfortable and lovely home, fruit trees and chickens a plus!

Beautiful, family-friendly home. My children loved the chickens and collecting eggs, swimming in the pool and relaxing in the jacuzzi, and riding bikes down the bike path. It was a great little getaway. Candy’s home is comfortable and charming!

Charming, Luxury Cottage in great location

We really enjoyed this home. It was very warm and inviting and had all the amenities. It is well-located on a quiet road and has the charm of a high-end, country cottage. A high-light for us was collecting chicken eggs each morning and sitting out on the lovely deck having a breakfast while overlooking the pool and grounds. We also invested in electric bikes and enjoyed the bike path which is located just around the corner. I would recommend this home to any couple —young or old—and to a family with kids. The house is well done and landscaped beautifully. It won’t disappoint.

Great stay

My family (age range from 3 months - 70 y/o) all had a great stay at Candice’s house. House was spotless and comfortable and she had loads of recommended activities for us. Kids loved looking after the chickens and picking fruit in the garden. Beds were all very comfortable too. Didn’t use the pool as weather was a little chilly but was safe for kids with the electronic cover and gates separating sections of the yard.

The Perfect Property

My family convened in Santa Barbara for Thanksgiving week, staying at this beautiful property. There is a huge amount of outdoor space, including a pool, spa and large deck with dining table where we spent a majority of our time to remain COVID safe. The house itself is so comfortable with the bedrooms spaced out to afford privacy for the guests. We all had our own bathrooms, which was a big plus! I am a professionally trained chef and found the kitchen very functional and well stocked—ideal for cooking our thanksgiving dinner. Candace and Kelly are great to work with, answering many questions and providing excellent recommendations on restaurants for take out meals (we loved Elubias tamales!). The neighborhood is very quiet, which is exactly what we were looking for. There is a bike / walking path very close to the house that we enjoyed for long walks in towards Goleta and back. All in all, this was a enjoyable, relaxing week with family. I highly recommend this property!

Summer in Santa Barbara

I loved staying at this house...the owner and property manager helped make it a great experience. The house is wonderful, spacious, clean, comfortable with all the bells and whistles. The pool and yard are lovely, especially the gardens - everything was blooming. My family really had a the best trip due in a big way to getting to stay in this house and the terrific Santa Barbara weather. I would highly recommend staying here.

Lovely house in Santa Barbara

Our family of four stayed at this property for 4 nights recently and we had an amazing time! Even Bear, our golden retriever, will miss his walks around the neighborhood and dips in the pool. My sons loved riding bikes to the beach, walking to the little coffee place two blocks away and generally just relaxing by the pool. The chickens are such a sweet treat as we got fresh eggs every morning for breakfast. Truly a Lovely house in a beautiful quiet area, away from it all but just close enough to everything when needed. I highly recommend this property!

Beautiful home in beautiful Santa Barbara!

We had a great relaxing stay at this property. The house accommodated our large group well with plenty of space for everyone. We especially loved the pool, backyard and the kids loved the front yard swing. We walked the nearby trail a few times too. The house was close to everything we wanted to do including the zoo and the beach. We would definitely recommend it!

Fabulous home with amenities that our whole family enjoyed!

The accuracy of the online listing was very good, however the pictures of furniture have changed. The new furniture was more modern and appropriate for family use. There was stated concern over a white sofa in the formal living room but we did not even use that sofa! Loved the pool, hot tub, sound system, kitchen and playroom. Our two grand daughters played in there for long periods of time! The beds were very comfortable. We also loved collecting eggs from the hens and eating the eggs! Very near the airport, Santa Barbara Yacht Club, and downtown area. The idea/house book they supplied was very thorough and provided us with many local details.

Perfect Family Home Base in Santa Barbara

We have visited Santa Barbara annually for seven years as our son labored over a Masters Degree and PhD at UCSB. At first we stayed in garden-variety hotel chains, then started sharing the area’s shared economy options. This weekend he graduated! The whole family was gathered. What a wonderful venue this was. A beautiful, well-appointed home reflecting the owners’ good taste and diligent maintenance. Plenty of room. A beautiful pool. Even a cast of productive hens. We left not just satisfied, but grateful for the owners’ generosity in making it available.

Absolutely incredible property, perfect for our family getaway

My family & I stayed here for Memorial Day weekend and were beyond thrilled with the house & property. The minute we walked in the house all of our eyes lit up and as we toured the house we were ready to move in permanently! Fantastic layout perfect for entertaining and the backyard was amazing! My kids loved the pool & the huge grass area to run around on but their favorite part was the ping pong table and the chickens. They loved feeding them & collecting their eggs & are now begging us to get our own. Not happening 😁. The master was exquisite and very private with a huge bathroom & fireplace. Beds were very comfy. The house is a smart home which does take some getting used to but that’s because we’re technically challenged. We would definitely stay here again & the owners are lovely.

Amazing Gem - Loaded With Character & Style

We had such an incredible time vacationing in this gorgeous single story masterpiece! The inviting storybook curb appeal (complete with tree swing) is a welcoming entryway to this fabulous property. The meandering flagstone pathways and perfectly manicured lawn with blooming flowers around each tree trunk lead to the spacious covered porch. Upon entering the beautifully decorated home, we immediately admired the wide-planked wood flooring. The home is blessed with abundant natural light, and we appreciated the numerous tall french doors situated at the core of the home, around the entire oversized deck. These doors created such a wonderful ambiance while cooking in the kitchen, dining at the fantastic banquette or formal dining room, and while walking to the bedrooms. The kitchen is equipped for entertaining, and that we did! Our family made countless memories prepping meals while the kids had a blast using voice commands to change channels on the great room TV and Alexa in their bedroom. The Easter Bunny visited while we were there and this backyard was the PERFECT place for egg hunting! The kids were tickled silly to have chickens to care for during our stay. The hens were champion producers and we had an abundant amount of eggs each day. We enjoyed the jacuzzi each night and loved the whimsical lighting with the lanterns in the tree and the accent lights along the back fence. A highlight of our stay was going on a family bike ride through the neighborhood. We crossed over wooden bridges, rode past horses, cruised along a creek, and felt like we were in picture perfect surroundings. Back at the home, we relished our time inside, where we could admire all the meticulous attention to detail our hosts invested into this property. We appreciated the thought that went into designing the master suite. It rivals the finest rooms at luxury resorts. The interior design is perfect and the linens are exquisite. The sumptuous master bath is spacious and inviting. Our entire stay was lovely and we look forward to returning again. Thank you C and R for being such gracious hosts!

Adorable house and amazing yard in great location

The house was absolutely adorable and very close to the Santa Barbara airport, the beach and also downtown. There was a great guest book that had all the information in it that we needed. The chickens were an added bonus as they gave us plenty of fresh eggs daily. The fireplace was also amazing, as it was a little chilly and rainy during our stay. The beds were comfortable as was everything else that the house had to offer. Fruit trees in the yard and amazing birds of paradise around the pool. We are really looking forward to going back during warmer weather when we can enjoy the pool. Gorgeous Mountain Views. There is also a nail salon, coffee shop, taquerìa and liquor store all within walking distance. Can’t wait to go back!

Great house, great setting

Our family of 4 spent a week in December here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. You will need to use your car or bike to get to the beach or downtown but the location is quiet and peaceful and nothing is too far away---Whole Foods and other shopping is <10 minutes. House is very comfortable and allows for adult privacy in the Master Suite. Great set-up for parents with 2-3 kids. Kitchen is well-equipped with top quality espresso gear! Backyard is beautiful but we didn't use so much in December.

Beautiful, well-appointed home, 10 minutes from downtown

Our family of five adults and three kids rented this home for Thanksgiving week and it was everything we were looking for -- a lot of beautiful space indoors and out, including a nice division of spaces for the adults and kids. The house is like new, immaculately clean, very well appointed and furnished, and nicer than most rental homes. The master suite is really something to see - especially the bathroom! We had everything we needed to enjoy our holiday week there. We had been left good instructions and didn't have any issues that required contacting the owner. We enjoyed the oasis-like backyard very much, and the kids especially enjoyed the heated pool. We also enjoyed visiting the chickens (located a ways from the house at the very back of the property) in the morning and bringing them our food scraps. There are many horses in the area, and often even walking by the house from the stables to the trail. Neighborhood is extremely quiet, but very convenient - a short way from 101 and 10 minutes to downtown. The owner Candy was very easy and pleasant to work with, and was great at communicating about things all along the way. I would definitely recommend this house!

Amazing home in a beautiful place!

Our family of 7 (4 adults, 3 kids ages 14, 12 and 3) spent a wonderful week at this home. I can honestly say that while there is a ton to do in Santa Barbara, we rarely left the house and the area nearby! The home is gorgeous and very well laid out. We used all 4 bedrooms, but never felt on top of one another. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped, and we ate the vast majority of meals at home. There is even a wine fridge! The pool and hot tub are amazing, and the pool has an easy to use cover so we were never worried with our toddler. The pool area and patio were great for reading and relaxing. There are bikes in the garage, and a 5 mile bike trail less than 100 yards from the house. This was also a plus for running, which we did daily! While this is a primary home (vs. used only for rentals), there was plenty of room for our belongings so we could fully unpack and embrace the space. And our girls LOVED that there were chickens and bunnies in the far back yard. The care was a cinch, and my girls loved feeding them each morning. Such a great stay, and we thoroughly enjoyed the home!

SB Gem: Immaculate home with every amenity

Our Bay Area Family of five just spent an idyllic week at this lovely, well appointed, and well located home. We woke up every morning to fresh eggs from the hens that live on the property (so fun for our kids to feed them!), and spent the days biking the adjacent bike trail, exploring the downtown and beaches of Santa Barbara (a short drive away) and the afternoons floating in the pool or relaxing in the hot tub. This super clean home has everything; soft and comfy sheets and beds you sink into with a sigh, fluffy towels, a well stocked kitchen, and the perfect floor plan for a family. The master suite/wing is a bonus with a fireplace and huge double shower and tub. At night when the kids went to bed, my husband and I felt like we were on a separate vacation! For kids there is an idyllic rope swing, pool toys, craft supplies, and books to enjoy during the stay. And a large yard and outdoor ping pong table add to family fun time. Thank you C and R for opening your home to us and being such wonderful hosts. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic Stay!!

We had such a great stay at this house. It's not only beautiful, spacious & close to everything, but has high end amenities and really feels like a home away from home. We used the pool every day & had a hard time getting the kids to even leave! We've stayed in many homes through the years & this was by far our best stay yet. I'd highly recommend this property!! Looking forward to coming again next year!

Usually we hike and do a million things but we were so happy where we were, and in such a relaxing setting, we were content to enjoy each moment. The owner is just delightful ! Sheets crispy and white. Beds super comfortable. Great towels. The plates and silverware just great & made of a pool friendly material (no broken glass by the pool) The outside garden is so divine, we picked some lettuce right out of the garden beds for a fresh salad. We feel lucky we found this family retreat away from the LA crowds and traffic, we want to come back, our Golden Retriever Henry already misses romping in the yard and taking pool dips- We will be back! ~Alex and Charlotte Beck

Relaxing Family Friendly Home

My husband had an extended work trip and we needed to find a family friendly home for my twin daughters and our pug. This home worked perfectly. The back yard is fenced for kids and dogs. The neighborhood is rustic, and quiet. We live in San Francisco, so to have a yard like this was a treat. The kids loved the pool, I was happy there is a child proof cover. The most fun for my girls were the hens, we fed them dinner scraps and collected fresh eggs in the morning. There is a coffee shop that we would walk to after nap time for smoothies and baked goods. We would stroll by the horse stable to pet the horses and watch people ride. Whole Foods is two miles away. We love Santa Barbara. The owners were extremely helpful, they shared their babysitter and housekeeper so we had childcare for date night and arranged cleaning during our stay for laundry. We hope to come back this summer, as I consider this our home away from home. If you are looking for a family friendly get away, pet friendly with a pool and hot tub I would recommend booking this turn key vacation home. Thank you !

Why they chose this property

We bought our home because we wanted a safe place for our children to grow up, a quiet neighborhood with beauty and charm. We love to spend our time in our yard, swimming, gardening, and sunbathing. When the sun starts to set dinner on the deck, light up the BBQ, and we end the night with a dip in the spa taking it all in. Our children are having so much fun growing up here.

We feel lucky to get to surf and hike all in the same day, we take great pride in our home, its location. We feel lucky to be able to raise our family here and it would be our pleasure to share our paradise with you.
