A Lakefront Luxury Mountain Home on Rainbow Lake

This custom lakefront luxury custom home on Rainbow Lake is a hidden treasure for those seeking a refreshing getaway from the stress and busyness of everyday life.

Our mountain home sleeps 9 people. In the upstairs Master Suite there is a king bed, a comfy sitting area beside a gas fireplace. The suite opens up to a private lanai with captivating views overlooking Rainbow Lake. There is a Keurig coffee maker provided for upstairs suite. The Master King Suite has his and her vanity areas, a whirlpool tub, separate shower and walk in closet Bedroom #2, The Downstairs King Master Suite has a unique private bath, his and her vanities, jacuzzi tub and separate shower. It has a glorious view overlooking the lake and outside sitting area. Bedroom #3, The romantic 'French Bedroom' there is a Queen Bed with private Bath. In Bedroom #4 known as the 'Blue Room', there are 2 double beds. All beds have cozy comforters and luxury linens.

The Great Room has a fireplace, Dish TV and a DVD. There is an assortment of movies available. There are games and puzzles for you to enjoy. Free WIFI is provided. It overlooks a beautiful deck, seating area, such garden area overlooking the lake.

The gourmet kitchen comes with everything you need for your stay. The dining area has a large table which seats 8 comfortably and is ideal for playing games. This room has a beautiful view of the lake as well.

You can relax on the back deck and enjoy watching the ducks, eagles, osprey, herrons and other habitat. It is always a delight to watch the eagles and osprey soaring in the sky and then dipping down for their breakfast or dinner. Bring that book you haven't had time to read. Bring your family and friends. This is a great place for a girlfriends' getaway. It is a delight for all. You can kayak around the lake and enjoy the beauty and sereness of nature. There are many hiking trails nearby and other lakes closely like Fools Hollow. There are many lovely antique shops to poke around in the area. In the winter, the Sunrise Ski area is only 35 minutes away. After your invigorating day on the water or the slopes in winter, in the evening you will behold magnificent sunsets. After that, the stars present themselves as dazzling diamonds flung across the night sky - just for you to enjoy!
The deck is a favorite to have morning coffee and meals. We also have a bench on our private dock which is a favorite place to enjoy morning coffee or a glass of wine watching the sunset. The private upstairs portico deck also has magnificant views overlooking the lake.

This is our family home. Smoking is not permitted inside. We rent it out with the expectation that you will care for it as if it belonged to a cherished friend. Our hope is you will have a great time, come away refreshed and will want to return and will recommend it to others.

Exceptional property

Beautiful ambiance. The house, with large patio, is situated on the lake in a gated community. Home is very nicely furnished and well maintained. Lots of windows to enjoy the view. Would definitely stay here again.

Very pleasant, classy mountain esscape with all the conveniences nearby.

It was a great expereince in a wonderful gated community. Safe, quiet and private getaway feeling cozy both indoors and out. Would definitely return for another getaway. Both owner and property mananger we just fantastic people to communciate with. Definitely felt at home. Thank you again guys!

2023 Family Vacation

The cabin location was nice, quiet and very enjoyable. The view out the dining area is beautiful. Rooms were spacious. The patio was very comfortable with a beautiful view. Only downfall was the wind.

Peaceful Lakeside Home

This was the latest of several visits we have made to this home. We enjoy how bright and airy it is, and love its proximity to the lake - right outside the door, where you can watch the birds and other critters, and just catch your breath from all the hustle and bustle of regular life. A wonderful place to recharge, especially kayaking on the lake in the early morning when no one else is about.

5 stars isn't enough for this luxurious property. If you are looking for a rental for multiple couples to stay while they golf, hike, fish or ski - your search has ended! Get ready for spectacular views, comfortable beds and an owner and property manager who are a delight to deal with! We loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom. 7 of us stayed here and we never felt cramped. We loved lounging on the patio and the dock after golf. The dining table is huge and was perfect for games! I appreciated ample bedding and towels, and all the bathrooms were well stocked. Book this! You won't regret it.

Finally found my home away from home!

This was year 3 of our family trips to Pinetop and we finally found the place we will be staying consistently. We have been renting different cabins to try and find one that fits us well and has everything we need, this is it! First Louise, most amazing, sweetest lady you will ever talk to, she is so helpful and just a caring person. Completely felt comfortable reaching out to her on any questions. The house is very spacious, and you can easily fit large families comfortably. The rooms are all gorgeous. The best part is the masters bedrooms (2) and the living/dinning room have such large windows you feel outside, it is breath taking. We would just open the doors and enjoy the cool air. There were 4 kayaks which was nice we did not even need to bring ours up. The kitchen was fully stocked, more then enough blankets and towels then you could ask for. Being there for a couple hours you really start to feel like it is your own home it is so welcoming. The neighborhood is very friendly. The best part of this entire place, besides the large windows, and the amazing host is the bend built on to the dock. Every morning I sat on this bench and just stared at the beautiful lake as I floated there. Peacefulness is all I felt. Work, stressful of life, everything just floated away on this dock. Thank you for sharing your home with us, it is truly a piece of heaven!

Location, location, location!!!! This well apointed, spacious, and comfortable home could not be better located for amazing access/views of the lake, and the wildlife it brings. The host I communicated with was very nice and responsive to all of my questions. We highly recommend this rental... you will not be disappointed!!!

Fabulous Property!

We loved our stay at this property! The house was perfect for our group. Each bedroom had its own private bathroom and there were amazing views from all over! The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to prepare family meals each night. Our favorite part was the back deck and lake access. We spent more time on the deck than anywhere else! We appreciated (and thoroughly enjoyed!!) the kayaks that the owner so thoughtfully left for guests! Louise was very attentive and quickly responded any time we reached out with a question. All in all, we all had an amazing time and are already talking about our next stay! Can’t recommend this place enough!

Beautiful Lakeside Home!

This home is amazing! We all were very pleased with the accommodations, it was a perfect fit for what we needed! Beds are very comfortable and appreciated all the bedrooms had their own bathrooms. The house was decorated beautifully! We especially loved the cozy deck where we could hang out and enjoy the scenery. We especially loved the dock right outside the back door! We were able to wake up early and enjoy fishing and kayaking each day! The only thing was when the wind picked up late morning it was harder to kayak, but that's mother nature for you! :) We still made it happen. We were hoping to be able to use the tennis courts, but looked like they were in process of resurfacing, I'm guessing they are updating to include pickle ball courts, which would be awesome! All in all the stay was exceptional! We look forward to staying at this home again! Louise your home is perfect for us!

Nice Property

The property was very clean and nice. It had a ton of accessories for the kids including bicylcles, tennis racks, bags, etc. Great place overall. It does however not have any access to the lake from the backyard at this time due to a busted pipe in the lake that drained a huge portion of the lake water into the creek. I was told by neighbors that they do not expect the lake levels to return to normal until next year sometime. If you like to fish there are plenty of lakes withing a few miles of the property. You just wont be able to fish of the dock in the backyard. That was the only downside to this property. Otherwise the property was great and the owner was extremly pleasent and easy to get a hold of. My mother-in-law actually left her purse behind and the owner was kind enough to mail it back to her right away.

Even better than the pictures

Eagle's nest is a good name for this house. While eating breakfast, we saw 2 huge (golden?) eagles fly over the lake and perch in the back yard. Also saw a fox, a coyote, and tons of ducks and geese. The house has been lovingly furnished and maintained. It is a beautiful, luxurious home and my family and I really enjoyed it here. Lots of fun family memories made. The host has been extremely friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again on our next vacation to Lakeside!

We have had a home in the White Mountains since our children were small. Now we are thrilled to have 3 generations come up and enjoy the winter and summer fun. This was the year Papa taught our 2 oldest grandsons (9 and 5) to ski. What fun they had on their winter ski trips and pizza parties. Next year grand daughters are coming to join the fun. All the grandchildren love the special summer trips, being out on the lake and catching fish. Our little city gandchildren love to learn about nature, hike, fish, look for eagles and exciting nature scavenger hunts.

Why they chose this property

This is a beautiful area. We wanted to be on a lake and yet near a town. This place is perfect! It is not far from Sunrise Ski area and was especially nice when my husband was on the Ski Patrol. He still skis every chance he gets! Many areas to hike We built this home in 1999 and completely gutted and remodeled it a few years ago.

What makes this property unique

Time to kick back, R & R, We can be as busy as we want with activities or can veg out and read sitting by the fire in the winter enjoying the winter wonderland. In the summer we hike, kayak, fish, and spend lots of time on the deck enjoying sunrises and sunsets. In every season, there is always something to view on the lake. There are many kinds of ducks, swans, Canadian geese. We see eagles, heron, many osprey, owls, little foxes, and sometimes those darn beavers who love our trees along the lake. We are close to restaurants, grocery stores, movie theater, We love the special times here with our children, grandchildren and friends year round. In summer there is fun on the lake and in winter, skiing and snow activities. Holidays are always a special delight here.
