Huge Pool + Direct Beach Access = Betcha Like it

NOTE: This is a Sunday-to-Sunday rental. We do NOT have daily/nightly rentals.

Beach access is just 50 steps away and you'll be on the beach! POOL?? - Of Course! We have that, too - the 20' x 40' pool is certain to be an added bonus to your vacation (for registered guests only). Enjoy the fantastic view of the ocean and the pool from the covered observation tower or the screen-enclosed porch - both have built-in picnic tables for 'dining out' and just enjoying your time of relaxation. This home has Central Air/Heat throughout PLUS all rooms have ceiling fans. UPSTAIRS: features a King Bedroom Suite with TV, DVD; 1-1/2 baths; a fully-equipted kitchen; living room with couch and love seat. DOWNSTAIRS: there are 3 bedrooms: 1 Queen, 2 twin beds and bunk beds; a TV room with DVD/VCR, sofa and love seat; a full bath; and a utility area with washer, dryer, iron, & ironing board. (Seriously, does anyone really iron while on vacation???) Enclosed outside shower plus a hose on front of house for a quick 'foot-wash' coming back from the beach and for keeping the bay-windows hosed off to enable the best view of the ocean, etc. WI-FI for your convenience. Paved parking area. We have a Grayco Pack-N-Play for the little one. Weekly rentals from Sunday 4PM to Sunday 10AM. Linens not provided but available locally from rental companies. See FAQ for more info and details. This is emailed to you when you select CONTACT THE OWNER. You will be very glad you selected this home for your vacation. Great Location
Ideal property located across the street from public beach access. Convenient to all Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, Nags Head and the rest of the Outer Banks has to offer. Unique older home in need of “some”updates that worked well for our family of six. Grandparents upstairs and Son and his family downstairs in the four rooms and bath. Roof top covered deck provided a great view of the neighborhood and beach.

This house is perfectly situated for a hop, skip and a jump to the beach. The views are top notch and the house is great. We had a wonderful time.

When we arrived there were a few issues. Called owner and they immediately dispatched a maintenance man to fix issues. The highlight for me was the "outlook".

Awesome location
We had a great week at the property. Location was right across the street from the beach!! Spent most of our days on the beach. It was really nice to be able to walk 1 minute back to the house for whatever we needed!!

We were unable to go due to a death of a family member.
I connected the owner the day before we were due to arrive and explain the situation and offered to provide supporting documentation. But they apologized, offered their condolences and said with one day's once they were unable to offer us a refund. The next day a received another message from the owner stating he would refund the cleaning fee but to date I still have not received that. I can just say I understand rules and regulations but I also understand compassion. In a situation like our there should be some kind of policy in place. Other than sorry about your luck, you don't get to travel due to the death of a family member and the owner says thanks for the money. So had we gotten to go I'm sure we would have had a lovely time. We've been friends for 30+ years and this was our annual girls trip. So when Sandy got the call from police that her mother was deceased 6 days prior to us leaving. With it being that close to our trip, still having restrictions from covid and trying to get everything done with a deceased body is very difficult to say the least. So we had no other alternative but to cancel.

The property was as advertised and was a nice setup with close access to the beach. While Covid-19 made accommodations at the pool more complicated it was fine as well. We had a miscommunication with the owner about the TV usage but got that straightened out easily. The unit was reasonably clean inside, but there were some cockroaches and the cleaning crew did not clean the outside stairs, shower, screened in porch or roof deck. Overall still a very good experience.

Chris Ann was very responsive to my MANY questions. Er also had a check in issue that took her maybe two minutes to resolve? Right across from the beach with easy pool access. My husband, two sons and I loved how drivable it was to the market and well rated food spots. You do have to purchase the essentials (toilet paper, bounty, oil, salt, pepper) but all the cooking appliances you need are there. It was a quiet area at night which was perfect for us with kids. The downstairs did accumulate bugs as the week went on but we kind of expected that at any property so close to the water. Huge plus was the availability of a dust buster! I know.. the things you love as you age :) Great trip and would happily rent with Chris Ann again.

Nostalgic gem!
Pros: Public beach entrance is right across the street. It is easy to go back-and-forth for bathroom breaks and snacks. House layout and decor is nostalgic—. Gives an original Kitty Hawk look and feel Lots of seating with two separate living room areas, which are great if you have smaller kids who need their own space. Great view from Crow’s nest. Nice place to relax. Convenient location. Easy access to grocery shopping, bars, and restaurants. Nicely situated at the entrance to the outer banks. No traffic forever up route 12 or along the main highways. Cons: The house is situated directly onN. Va Dare

We had a wonderful mini vacation here. The house was perfectly located & weather was great. The home had everything we needed. It was just very difficult communicating with the property manager. I wish that process would have been less stressful.

Cozy and relaxing for a long weekend getaway!
Had a wonderful stay at "Betcha Like It" and would definitely go back! The house easily fit 4 adults on this trip, plus, if you have additional people, there's tons of extra room! The rooftop deck was our favorite spot for late evening into the night conversations with the family and the location was amazing, being just minutes away from food and fun with no issues of noise or crowds coming down on you at any moment! Zero worries about a crowd on the beach with plenty of space to spread out and soak up the sun! The owners were very responsive and helpful with any questions I might have had. I would 100% recommend this location to my friends and family that may be looking for a place to stay in the OBX!

Comfortable and relaxing stay
We had a great week at this property. We were very fortunate to have good weather which meant we spent most of our time on the beach. The house was very comfortable and the maintenance issues we had were taken care of in a short amount of time. We would recommend this house for your stay.

We loved this house! The location couldn’t have been any better! Our favorite part was the covered crows nest! We had coffee and cocktails there every day! Would just say new furniture is needed for screened in porch. The webbing on the couch was broken so you couldn’t sit there

What makes this property unique

Great restaurants, movies theatre is close by, shopping is a must, and we just like sitting and looking at the ocean. Sooo relaxing! Everybody's first stop at OBX is to stock up at Food Lion or Harris Teater and you are right between Wal-Mart and K-Mart. FANTASTIC!!
