About this property
Affordable 3BR Duplex Near Kayaking, Downtown, & Beach
Sweeping oaks draped with soothing Spanish moss will greet your presence in Montgomery's historic neighborhood in the Low Country of Savannah. A generously stocked seclusion will supplement your escape from everyday life for a restful recharge. After bobbing along Tybee Island's sweeping shorelines and screaming amidst spooky Savannah style ghost tours, enchanting boat docks and Wormsloe's woe await your presence! It's just 8.3 miles from Forsyth, 15-25 minutes from downtown, and 30 minutes from Tybee Island. Its close proximity to Wormsloe, a nationally acclaimed historic site known for its scenic lush live oak-lined drive, local fishing piers, and Skidaway Island State Park make it ideal for exploring life in the perspective of a local on Savannah's south end.
Your Neighborhood:
---->The downfalls: I believe in full transparency and honesty, so here's the scoop: the neighborhood is not HOA cookie-cutter picturesque, and some surrounding homes are rundown and unmaintained. This neighborhood is definitely not perfect. In fact, I'd consider it to be a working class area.
---->The upsides: It's a genuinely safe and welcoming area despite its perceived unmaintained appearance. I strive to maintain this home to the highest standard, so it is my aspiration that your enclave will be appreciated as a diamond in the rough.
Safety:
---->I wouldn't open my home as a short-term vacation rental if I didn't wholeheartedly believe in the safety of its surroundings. Having personally resided in the area for over a year, I can attest that it's one of the most welcoming places I've had the pleasure of calling home. Your well-being and sense of security are paramount to me.
Unbeatable Value
---->I've priced this home with your budget in mind. Enjoy the perks of a fully equipped, comfortable space without breaking the bank. Spend your savings on experiences, not just accommodations.
The Functionality:
---->Unit B's charming floor plan boasts a full eight-seater dining room and cozy galley kitchen connected to a dazzling living room. Its enchanting 1,200 sqft space is effectively proportioned to comfortably host eight guests. All bedrooms are positioned furthest from the duplex's central dividing wall, enhancing your sense of privacy and seclusion.
Your half-acre backyard is ideal for naturalistic connection, or a safe haven for pets to freely roam.
----->You'll enjoy full access to Unit B of the duplex. Its yard space and patio is shared with occupants of Unit A.
----->Long length of stays are welcomed and encouraged! A rental agreement will need to be signed for stays over 30 days.
---->Note: the duplex's adjacent unit, Unit A, may be occupied by the property owner or other short term rental guests during your stay. Your unit is completely private and separate; the only shared space is the yard access. All I ask is that you maintain a respectful noise level for your friendly neighbors.

About the host
Hosted by Logan Hoyt

I may or may not be addicted to little things like fluffing pillows and getting furniture in "just the right spot."
I fell into hosting after realizing that I love turning spaces into vacations—where guests can nap like royalty, drink coffee like philosophers, and cook up ridiculously tasty meals. When I’m not obsessing over cozy bedding or the perfect lighting for a vacation vibe, I’m probably out hunting for quirky art, debating whether a throw pillow can actually change a room’s energy (it can), or testing out local restaurants—all in the name of "research," of course.
Hosting isn’t just about handing over the keys; it’s about creating an experience so good that you’ll wonder why you ever considered staying anywhere else. So, come stay, relax, and if you ever need a recommendation for the best local eats or hidden gems—I’m your person!

Why they chose this property
This duplex isn’t just a place to stay—it’s strategically positioned for maximum Savannah enjoyment. Nestled 15 minutes from downtown and just a short drive from essential stores (because who wants a trek for a midnight snack?), this spot offers the best of both worlds: easy access to the city's lively charm and a peaceful retreat when you need a break from all that excitement.
For the nature lovers, the surrounding area delivers big time. Gorgeous marsh views? Check. Skidaway Island State Park? Just around the corner. The historic Wormsloe district and the ever-enchanting Moon River? Practically next-door. And for those who believe no getaway is complete without a proper bonfire-and-s’mores situation, the quiet suburban setting makes it all possible.
Whether you’re here for history, adventure, or just an excuse to lounge with a cup of coffee while admiring the scenery, this cozy hideaway is ready to make your Savannah experience one to remember.

What makes this property unique
Even before I pulled into the driveway of this duplex, I knew it was a winner. Its connecting street is filled with winding live oak trees and lush Spanish moss. These pieces of nature connect with the morning sunlight to create a dazzle of light rays across the street. This is a breathtaking sight in itself, no matter where you're headed. Driving to the house, you can practically smell the Moon River.
I have personally rode my bike over to Skidaway Island State Park to experience its miles of winding bike trails. Living just a couple miles from the island makes this possible. Enjoy the country's peacefulness while just being a skip away from the city's lavish history!
