Sail Away Cottage Large Deck Overlooking Pool Steps To Sugar Sand Beach

The Sail Away Cottage is located at 2113 Avenue C in Bradenton Beach. This historic cottage was built in 1920 and moved to its current location in the 1980’s. It is only 170 steps to the sandy beaches and there is even a peek of the gulf! While the cottage still has the look and feel of the 1920’s, it has been nicely updated with an island “Sail Away” theme. Because the home is elevated, you can listen to the waves from the gulf in pure tranquility. Recently updated, this is a three-bedroom, two-bath home and will sleep six people with two queen size beds and two twin beds.

There are 32” TVs in each bedroom as well as a 51” wide screen TV in the living room with a DVD player. The private backyard setting includes a new, heated pool, an outdoor shower, and a large deck - all secluded in new and tropical landscaping.

One week minimum rental.

Super Sail Away
Everything was as pictured. The living area was larger than expected. We loved the gate off the back porch since we had an 18 month old with us and it was added security with the pool.We were able to walk to numerous restaurants and we were very close to the beach.Easily communicated with the vacation rental agency. Only negative was the mattress in bedroom 2. It really sags in the middle. We would return!J and SOn numerous

Great house in the perfect location for a family. Quick walk to the beach and 15 minute walk to Bridge Street and all it has to offer. Pool was just the right size and the landscaping was beautiful.

Definitely a house you can relax in. We had 6 people during our stay and never felt crammed in together. The twin beds in the 2nd guest room are not very sturdy, so I was a little nervous putting my boys in there. Good communication with rental service even when we arrived very late. Overall very pleased with our stay.

We were completely satisfied with our stay at "Sail Away Cottage". Pictures are accurate, description is spot on, house is clean. Close proximity to the beach was a big plus for us. Quiet neighborhood and the beach wasn't crowded. Close to many different restaurants. Check-in was efficient and communication was clear. Such a hidden gem. You won't be disappointed with this booking.

We enjoyed our stay! We went to the beach and swam in the pool everyday! We saw manatees five of six days. We saw dolphins one day. It was a wonderful and relaxing week.

Beautiful Home
Loved the house, pool and perfect location. Very short walk to the beach and you can see the ocean from the front window. We will be returning next year. Make sure you bring some bug spray the mosquitoes can be pretty bad once the sun goes down. Overall wonderful stay at this beautiful home!!!

We enjoyed our stay at Sail Away. Everything we needed was right there. Beautiful private pool area, short walk to the beach, house is decorated super cute! Beds are all comfy. Plenty of towels,beach towels even toys for the beach.Kitchen was well stocked if you plan to cook and a grill outside by the pool. Great place! Beautiful white sand beaches!

Amazing location and house!
We absolutely loved this property. The location was amazing. A very quick walk across the road and you were on the beach. So close we walked several miles on it every morning before working remotely. We were also able to walk to plenty of restaurants and bars from here. We didn’t drive for 4 or 5 days while here and just walked everywhere which was awesome. The pool and backyard are so nice and private and the house is beautiful. We would definitely rent here again.

The home was comfortable and had very comfortable beds! There was an issue with the oven, but maintenance came and corrected the issue.

Beautiful AMI cottage 2 blocks from beach
Location was fantastic and cottage was well outfitted. The pool was lovely after a hot day at the beach. Only one thing marred the stay- the so-called 3rd bedroom was little more than a closet with two wobbly cots. Not comfortable and barely adequate for two adults. It should have been noted in the listing that they weren’t twin beds. They were cots with bent metal frames.

The beach is across the street with easy access so you don't have to worry about parking. The Free Trolley is also across the street so you can enjoy the island and never have to drive. If you want to stay home, you have a small private pool and backyard with the trees giving you plenty of privacy.

There's a lot of Knick knacks inside the house that need a hood dusting. The pool is nice and clean but the area around it could have used a good sweeping or hose h down. As much as we would have liked to use the pool at night, it was difficult to enjoy it with all the mosquitoes. Even with citronella candles and Thermacell, there was just too much bugs to enjoy the outdoor area. We still loved our stay just wishing we can enjoy the outdoor area more.

There are a few things to mention. We stayed in June and the pool was way too cold to swim in. We couldn't use it. Also there were some issues with tvs in the bedrooms. One didn't work at all and the other had problems with the cable box. We didn't use the TV's much so not really a big deal. Overall a nice place to stay for the price. We enjoyed our vacation very much!

We have stayed at other places on Anna Maria and on Longboat Key, and Sail Away has been the best of all. We loved the private backyard and pool, and the deck off the main floor. The cottage was clean and spacious for our needs, and the management company was very responsive leading up to and during our stay. The location is fantastic...steps from the beach and a very short walk to the restaurants and shops on Bridge Street and between. We used the 2 of the bedrooms. The 3rd bedroom is good for a couple teenagers but might not work for an adult couple, but that wasn't an issue for us. We will definitely look to stay at Sail Away Cottage on our next visit.

Having rented in other areas I knew you don't always get what you expect. This place exceeded my expectations! The location was perfect, midway between the Publix shopping center, where you can find just about anything you would need, and Bridge St. with great restaurants and shops. Both walkable/bikeable. Quiet neighborhood 1 1/2 blocks from a beautiful uncrowded beach and on the bay side, a great playground 3 blocks away.The house was very clean and old Florida beach cottage adorable! Updated bathrooms and washer/dryer. A great supply of kitchen gear too.A few negatives in the outdoor areas. The deck is in desperate need of a power wash! The pictures showed several pool lounge chairs but there was only one. Also, no cushions provided for the underdeck shaded area wicker set. If those things were included my title would be "Perfection!" I will be back for sure!

In need of an overhaul

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property management was very responsive and did what they could to help us fix what could be fixed. However, they should look much more thoroughly before they rent out a property snd not leave it to the renters to deal with and report in all the deficiencies. TV For example the internet was not working for the first week but they got spectrum to install a new router and modem. However it took several days before spectrum came, days of lost work for 2 of the renters who were trying to work remotely. They replaced the broken beach umbrella and provided beach chairs.The kitchen was a hodgepodge of old dishes and glasses, but lacking some basics ( like a usable peeler, an oven mitt and no storage containers). The oven only worked at one setting (convection bake) and barely closed. The only new appliances were the washer/ dryer. Everything else in this house was tired and worn.
