Great location

The house was amazing. It had plenty of room. The hosts were very responsive. The location is secluded but still a short drive to the Parkway. The driveway is on a hill and gravel going up to house but then flattens out to pavement. May not be suitable for motorcycles. There is plenty of parking available. We had a great time and would definitely stay again.

Great house for large family

We really enjoyed our stay at The Mountain House. There was plenty of room for the whole family while we were in Pigeon Forge for a family wedding.

Picture not accurate

Property was an dated but maintained. Internet was barely usable. Driveway was steep and washing out due to the rain. Pictures were of possibly 20 years old due to the overgrowth. If you're looking for a place that has peace and quiet then this is the place.

Weekend ride in the side by sides

Perfect place for us to stay for our weekend ride in our side by sides. Plenty of room in the house for 5 couples. Finding a place with ample parking for trucks and trailers is usually a problem. This place had plenty of room for all of us to park and unload the side my sides. Had a great time!

Awesome place and great location.

This was our second time staying at this cabin and we loved it. Very clean, big, and well kept. Plenty of parking. 8-9 minutes away from the Pigeon Forget strip. We hope to continue to stay at this very cabin each year on our annual family trip.

Great home for a large family gathering

We spent Christmas here with 9 adults and my 4 grandchildren and it was perfect. Very clean, great location, it was private but only 3-4 miles from Pigeon Forge. My only suggestion would be to stock it a little more with paper towels, garbage bags, dish soap and toilet paper. I would definitely stay again with a large group.

Great Headquarters!

We had a large number of family members come in from all over US. Some had their own cabins, but ours was the largest and made for a good place to gather and head out for adventures or meet up at the end of the day to play dominos and cards. We had 11 people with us and there was plenty of room. Great location, close to everything!

Our 50th Getaway Anniversary

What a joy to have our children and grandchildren help us celebrate our 50th anniversary in this wonderful getaway home. It was perfect for us as a family. It seemed like we were home but yet we got to do a lot of shows and experience Black Friday!!! I would highly recommend this for a getaway for anyone especially a big family gathering. The owners were so nice and helpful. It will forever be remembered.

Shopping weekend!

A group of 9 girls, ages 14 to 59 spent weekend. The house was very clean, and it was very isolated. We really didn’t spend much time at the house, we were out shopping…. Plenty of space for everyone.

The house was everything and more, we will definitely stay again.

The only thing I would suggest is a highchair. We had a 20 month old. The house was beautiful and close to everything. There we 12 of us and we had plenty of room. We will definitely stay again. Thank you for sharing your home Melissa Hilliard Lakeland, Florida

Spacious house allows room for all ☺️

We had lots of room for our family to be together without living on top of each other. Everybody had space to do their own thing. There were plenty of bathrooms and showers for us to use without waiting. We were close enough to town to make easy food runs and shopping excursions. Thanks for a great time! We’d love to come back! ❤️

Great secluded place in the woods and mountains

We were there for a family motorcycle trip. The house was great and has a nice covered patio for gathering. Lots of good interior space. The only drawback the driveway is not motorcycle froendly, long winding driveway woth rock and ruts that made motorcyle access very difficult. Also cell service and internet is almost non existant. Great secluded place otherwise. Host were very responsive and accomdating to the best they could.

Overall, we really enjoyed it!

We loved the space of this house. There were 12 of us and we had plenty of room!! We also loved the location. The only issue we had was with the cleanliness. There were hair balls in the bathroom, mold in the caulking of the shower and several spiders. Overall we enjoyed ourselves but wish it had been cleaner.

Perfect for us!!!

This house was perfect for us! There was plenty of room in the house for all 13 of us. With the whole 2nd kitchen downstairs, it was almost like 2 separate houses. We always have a hard time with parking space because we bring our side by sides to ride around the area. We need lots of parking for the trucks and trailers. This house had ample parking for our 4 trucks and trailers. It will definitely go on my favorites list!!!

Smoky Mountain Christmas

The cabin was beautifully decorated for Christmas but not overwhelming. There were a total of 9 staying there and a few other family members from tn that joined us for Christmas Day. The house is much bigger than the pictures show. The pictures do not do justice for the comfort of this home. There is so much room to spread out and have fun with the family but not feel overcrowded. The 2 kitchens made ease for cooking for a large group of people. The beds were very comfortable. The owners were easy to reach and very responsive. In fact we didn’t have to reach out to them for anything but the weather was bad and the owners reached out to us to prepare us and let us know they were there if we needed anything. This was the first Christmas without my husband and my children’s dad. The smoky mountains was his favorite place to be and this home brought us comfort knowing he would have loved it. We will definitely stay again.

Charming country retreat

My opinion of this vacation home was much more favorable than my husband's. His review was submitted prior to this one, without my input. When you get 10 people together, you have a hard time pleasing everyone. Most of us thought the house was charming, clean and comfortable with plenty of room. We mostly tried to keep the younger crowd who stay up later downstairs and the early birds upstairs. Having the separation of the two floors was nice and the pool table was fun. We all agreed that the beds and linens were excellent! It is evident that the owners care about providing a nice, family-friendly home for others to enjoy. We could have paid a lot more to stay in a newer home with more popular high-end finishes, but I felt that this was a good choice with good value for our vacation get-together, and under the same circumstances, I would choose to stay here again.

Downstairs accommodations were not acceptable

If we had needed a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home, the upstairs of this house would have been an OK, but not exciting, choice. The downstairs basement of the house has 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath, a den area, and a kitchen. Downstairs is where the main problems were. Unfortunately, the first thing that you notice about the downstairs area is the musty / moldy odor. Odor might not be a strong enough term -- stench is more accurate. If I'd walked into a hotel room that smelled like this, I would immediately headed back to the office to get a new room, but that wasn't an option here. At first we thought that running the AC or opening some of the few downstairs windows might help. It did not. After a few nights downstairs, I'd had enough. I slept on the upstairs couch for most of the stay. So much for 5 bedrooms. Another downstairs complaint was that the sound of people walking upstairs was magnified downstairs. So even if they clean this up, it wouldn't be a good spot for light sleepers. Cleaning was an issue with the house also. The downstairs, in particular, had lots of cobwebs. The outside porches hadn't been cleaned up lately either. On the plus side, the den and dining areas upstairs were conducive to group gatherings. The upstairs bedrooms all seemed fine, as well. The beds were reported as comfortable. The 5-acre property was secluded and mostly quiet. We heard the calls of nearby peacock, but that wasn't disturbing. The kitchen was stocked with what would be described as budget -- plates, appliances, and accessories. You definitely shouldn't expect anything fancy here. If you went to Dollar General and found the cheapest things, you'd know what to expect. This wasn't a big negative, although the non-stick cookware did remind me of why I Teflon isn't so great. Communication was a big negative here. It is not their fault, but cell phone coverage is worse than spotty. We were 50-50 Verizon and ATT&T phones. If we wanted to get in touch with someone back at the house while we were away -- tough luck. This is likely the property owner's fault: There is a house phone. We thought we could call into that to reach people since cell phones didn't work. No, the phone worked, but incoming calls did not ring. (Testing showed that if you knew there was a call, you could pick it up, but most of the time that would require psychic abilities.) If you like TV, it looked like they had an outstanding Direct TV plan. I wish they woul

Pigeon Forge, TN trip

This house had exactly the amount of room we wanted. The five bedrooms were great & a few bedrooms were bigger than described. The kitchen(s) could use a few more basic kitchenware but had most items & there could be a few more towels only stating this since we had 11 people staying here. Overall this was a great house & lots of room. The kids were entertained with the pool table & Xbox when we weren’t busy with planned activities.
