Marshmallow Acres Lodging We have 3 separate lodges for BASEBALL FAMILIES

Bear Lodge and Deer Run Lodge along with Marshmallow Lodge available to book for families that want to be close together but also enjoy privacy. Please see Bear Lodge and Deer Run on their own VRBO listing.
Marshmallow Lodge:
13 acres with a pond Horses & Chickens on property . A porch on each level ! A great spot to have coffee in the morning or a quiet cocktail in the evening. Plenty of space for small family .reunions and BBQs. Down by the pond a full fire pit for roasting s'mores and telling ghost stories. Watch the Deer and natural wildlife right from any window in the house. Each floor has it's own bedroom and bathroom making it spacious and private for a large family. 2 Full size Kitchens allows for cooking for a large group of friends and family.Extra Large commercial Washer and Dryer. Just a stones throw away from The the Baseball Hall of Fame and many historic museums. Also the world famous Ommigang. Brewery. And The Fly Creek Cider Mill. Plenty of fun things to do for all ages and interests !
ENTIRE PROPERTY available for Weddings,(see our other properties Bear Lodge & Deer Run)Property can accommodate 26 couples ! 3 separate houses. Great for Family Reunions. & enough space for Team housing.
PLEASE NO TEAM parties without prior permission. Unless you rent all 3 houses.Please have non paying guests off property by 10. With baseball season other teams might have early games.
Remind your guests to avoid parking on lawns.

BEAUTIFUL LOCATION

It's a beautiful location and the big cabin is great. Plenty of room. Very close to Dreams Park. There are a lot of steps in the home though so definitely something to note for anyone that struggles with getting around.

Undermarketed

This is a beautiful and charming farm house remarkably convenient to Dreams Park and a pleasant 20 minute drive to AllStar Village. Derek and Sarah the caretakers live in a separate building on the 15 acre property and are extremely friendly and helpful. We’ve stayed at “fanncy” houses on the lake but Marshmallow was in many ways more enjoyable, peaceful, relaxing and definitely more convenient if your in town for the baseball tournament. Our two dogs did not want to leave. They had so much fun on the trails and large lawn and nearby pond. Definitely two thumbs up and I would not hesitate recommending this property to anyone.

Perfect Spot and Great People

We stayed for a tournament week. Property is beautiful and a calm retreat from the ballpark (which is 4 mins away). Host is very responsive and helpful, as is the couple that lives on the property. Extremely welcoming and friendly but also respectful of your privacy. We definitely would stay again.

Best place for Dreamspark

This house was amazing! It had everything we could ever want. Super clean amd spacious. The location can’t be beat! Literally 5 minutes to dreamspark. You can hear the cheering of the games from the front porch. Would definitely highly recommend

Cooperstown Baseball Week

Amazing property and amazing lodge. Anyone going to Cooperstown Dreams park or if you just want a break from the city this property is ideal.

Will definitely stay again!

This was the perfect property and experience during our visit to Cooperstown for our sons baseball tourney. The owner was SUPER quick to respond and everything you need is there! Lots of towels, linens, everything you need in the kitchen including paper towels and toilet paper! The animals on the property were also enjoyable :) A view of the horse pasture from every window and chickens in the coop were a favorite of my two and eight year old. A wonderful retreat, super close to the Dreams Park, that’s gave my other two sons something to look forward to. Groundskeeper, Derik, was most helpful and offered to help us with starting grill, offered to start a fire pit fire for us and even offered tours of the barn and coop. He let us know about the walking trails on the property and taught my very intrigued boys about newts and other types of wildlife we don’t typically see in Georgia. Thanks, again, Marshmallow Heaven!!!! 10/10 recommend.

Place was a perfect getaway for my son’s baseball tournament!

Staff was amazing, house was even better! Would highly recommend this place to any family looking, so many fun things for the kids to do as well as the adults! All around best experience have had yet with renting on vrbo. Thanks guys for the great experience and memories we made there!

Fantastic property

The property was awesome. We were In town for a baseball tourney and I brought my wife, kids and parents. The home was super spacious, private and the location superb for our events. Will look to stay here again. The owners and staff helped fix and maintain anything we needed right away (nothing big) appreciate you allowing us in your home and look forward to the next visit. :-)

Pleasant getaway

Roomy with nice accommodations. Had a great time wandering the grounds, the toddler loved watching the chickens and giving the pony apples. Kitchen was well-supplied with utensils and equipment if you'd like to do any cooking. Bedrooms were comfortable. Well located - you're within a 15 minute drive to a number of destinations. Only small observation was the lower-level laundry room had a bit of an odor - we weren't down there enough for it to be an issue for us however.

Amazing Weekend Wedding!!

I just have to say that Karine is the supreme hostess! We had an amazing weekend at Marshmallow Acres! We came to stay for the wedding of my daughter and her soon-to-be husband. Karine's home gave us a place to congregate, spend time getting to know new family, and make incredible memories together. Even our dog was welcomed with open arms and adored the property!! It is something we will never forget. Derick, Karine's son, was wonderful and we were in want of nothing! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!

Great place!

Stayed here with just my wife and son and it was a very nice place. Well kept! The little touches like the cool light switches added to the log cabin ambience. Really interesting animal heads and trophies. We enjoyed the house tremendously!

Beautiful property

The lodge is perfect for multiple family groups. We had 3 family groups in our party and each had a private floor, bed and bath. It is a beautiful lodge with space to spread out and gather together. Our pooch enjoyed his vacation also - lots of outdoor space to explore. It was a great relaxing time - 10 minute drive to Cooperstown. We would book again.

Very Close to Dreams Park

We enjoyed our stay here while our son played at Dreams Park. It's less than a five minute drive to get to the park so it's perfect if you want to go back and forth between games. The house has everything you need and is well maintained. The first floor has its own bathroom with a walk in shower, bedroom, living area and galley kitchen if someone in your party has mobility issues and can't manage the stairs to the kitchen/living room on the second floor and the master bedroom on third floor. The road that the house is on is very hilly so be prepared for a good workout if you want to go for a walk/run on the street. Check with the owners if you can have a team party before making plans.

Just perfect

As a mom, you want your family vacation filled with joyful moments and this house helped deliver those. The house is gorgeous and on the most picturesque property. The main porch and view is just breathtaking. The inside is modern with an authentic cabin feel. All the rooms were spacious and well decorated. We made brownies, played games, walked around the property and enjoyed the sites Cooperstown has to offer. Obviously, we visited the HoF but also enjoyed the trails and food. Just a wonderful experience and will come back again.

Upstate Hiking

My wife and I and our two kids (19 and 22) stayed here over Memorial Day weekend. The house is lovely--3 bedrooms and an extra bed, 3 baths. The hosts were great! Son lives on the property and was very helpful in recommending hikes nearby. We would love to go back!

Perfect New Year!

From the very first minute I sent a message to Karine, the owner I knew this was where my family wanted to go, she was amazing and really cared about our family time. Some of the pictures had Christmas decorations and I asked if her home would be decorated as we were going to celebrate together for the New Year, she asked if I wanted it and of course I did. Well to say it was beautifully done Sells it short! From the welcoming garlands and lights on the outside to the tree on the lower level and it just went on! I can’t say enough about the wonderful time we had with our grown children, thank you Karine so much!

A Great Time at the Lodge and A True Writer's Retreat!

We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge! It is a beautiful 3 level cabin that is clearly loved and cared for because it has a very comfortable, welcoming feel to it. We felt right at home! It is extremely well-equipped for cooking, entertainment, or (if needed!) concentration. The owners are very kind, responsive and welcoming, and we really enjoyed the horses and chickens on the property. The setting is beautiful and private (yet just minutes to convenient stores), making it the perfect writer's retreat or vacation getaway. This home is perfect for a couples or family get-together as there is plenty of space to enjoy both privacy and time together. I also appreciated the quiet space to work and inspiring natural setting with the pond and surrounding woods. We loved it so much and are grateful to the owners for all the kindness they have shown us! This is not your typical rental--you will feel right at home!

Why they chose this property

Marshmallow acres is amazing in that attention is payed to every detail. The kitchens are equipped to handle both small and large gatherings. Theres a bed and bath on each floor to ensure plenty of privacy.
We have averaged 3 Weddings a year and each one has inspired new ideas for a destination personalized Wedding Ceremony or Reception. ( using all 3)
Last year brought a unique "gals " gathering in one house and The hunters ( husbands) in the other..... Many creative getaway weekends have been enjoyed by many ... And if your lucky to book early Christmas or NewYears in the country. Thanksgiving will be available this year as well. 2 Electric very realistic fireplaces have been added.

We strive every year to continue to update .Most of our profits go right back into the property. To ensure every guest is comfortable.
We just completed Cora's Cabin 5 bedroom 3 bath !
Bear Lodge. Brand new inside and out! We even put cedar in the closets to bring the true woodsy smell inside.
