About this property

The Purple Mountain Peach Shed from the 1940s

About this space
Find freedom here in a renovated 80 year old peach shed, against the backdrop of Purple Mountains, among farm animals and creek adventures, sun bathing by the pool or pow-wowing by the outdoor fireplace. Purple Mountain Farms offers the peace and tranquility that is becoming more difficult to discover. Yet, city adventures are not far from home with the renowned Tryon Equestrian Center 20 minutes away, Asheville, NC and Greenville, SC less than an hour and Charlotte, an hour and 30 minutes.
The space
Set upon 25 acres of farm land, this 2 bedroom renovated 1940's peach shed offers a unique experience rich in history and full of nostalgia. The 900 square foot apartment features a tiled shower, top-of-the-line kitchen appliances, and washer and dryer. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has a queen/twin bunk bed. The living room has a queen pull out sofa.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the large outdoor gathering space that includes patio furniture, an outdoor bar, firepit, pool, roaming chickens, a creek, and breathtaking mountain views.
Other things to note
The Peach shed is surrounded by wineries, a petting zoo, a diary, renowned produce farms including Strawberry Hill USA, steeple chases, state parks (Chimney and Table Rock), and rodeos. Even closer to home, our two horses are located in a pasture across the street. They love being greeted by guests but unfortunately, for their safety, we ask you not feed them.

Amazing house and property!

We feel so lucky to have found the peach shed!! The home is beautiful, super clean and has everything you need. The kids loved the chickens and finding frogs. The peach shed was a pefect home base for us. We went to Dupont state park and saw beautiful hikes and waterfalls. The sunset mountain views and swimming pool made the place hard to leave! w

Cozy location.

Had a great stay. This location is better than the pictures. It’s a very cozy house with enough outdoor space for all kinds of activities.
