About this property

Bougie TinyHome w Mountain Views,HotTub, Just 2 mi. from Black Rock Hot Springs

Reconnect with nature at "Big Little Hideaway". Our gorgeous property is minutes away from hikes, paddle boarding, hot springs, skiing, and endless roads and beauty to explore. Taos and Arroyo Secco are just 15 minutes away where you can enjoy great food, galleries and shopping, and Taos Ski Valley is 30 minutes away.

What we love about Bougie: spacious, dining window framing the mountain, wrap around windows for a lovely cross wind and star gazing in bed + black out blinds for sleeping in.
The space
"Big Little Hideaway" is a quiet and secluded 5 acre lot with 4 vacation rentals to choose from. Each unit is spaced 50+ feet away from each other and have their own private deck, epic mountain views and a fire pit. It's a perfect nature retreat for a private get away or rent all 4 for a family reunion!

Bougie is brand new (built in 2021) with all the modern conveniences: mini split AC/Heat, plus a furnace for those super cold winter nights, a three top stove, oven, refrigerator/freezer and a small bathroom with a toilet, sink and shower. A tankless water heater allows for a nice long shower.

It's always fun to bring dirt bikes, motorcycles, or mountain bikes as you can ride around the property or just down the dirt roads if you like. Whether you've been dreamin' of a tiny home and want to try it on for size or are just looking for a unique, comfy home away from home in Taos, you've found it! You get the feeling of camping with all the comforts of home.

Friendly, well-behaved, and trained dogs are welcome. Pets must be added to the reservation as we do charge a fee. We love pets but we do not love or appreciate pet hair and dander on the linens nor does the next guest. If your pup is used to sleeping with you, please bring your own sheets.
Guest access
Feel free to wonder anywhere on the property especially at sunrise and sunset. We've created little perches at the best spots so feel free to hike up the little trails as our property line meets the top of the mountain.

Each unit has their own designated parking space.

Kids love it here too and parents love the 8 foot berm protecting them from the main road! Plenty of room to explore, play hide-and-seek, and ride bikes.

Please adhere to a 9PM quiet time unless you're renting entire the property.
Other things to note
A bathing suit and some water shoes for the hot springs are a great thing to bring.
A headlamp is handy to have at night.
Bring your firewood or a $10 donation to use our supply.

Bougie Beautiful

A wonderful stay in unique accommodations. It was exactly as I expected and the remoteness and quiet was welcome. Thank you for putting those large windows around the bed. The weather cooperated on a few nights and the stars put on a show for us. How cool to be cozy in bed and seeing the stars surrounding us. The hot tub was a great addition. There seemed to be some construction/work being done around the property which took away a small bit of the ambiance but, I still highly recommend staying here. The hosts are easy to communicate with and the it’s a fun place to be tucked away.

Glamping under the Stars

This was the perfect getaway for my partner and I and our 9yo daughter. We were able to enjoy the outdoors with all of the amenities of a cozy home. The tiny house is adorable, with great design and super clean. The stars from the hot tub at night were magical. And my favorite part might've been taking a hot shower after the campfire and s'mores. Nothing but rave reviews for our stay and interactions with the hosts - just know that the loft with the ladder might be tough for someone with mobility issues. My 9yo loved it, and we could do it, but not everyone would be able to do it.

The. Best. Ever!!

We loved our stay at the Bougie house. Views of the mountains were incredible. Cozy and well appointed. Excellent little typed directions pinned up at every possible point of confusion. No microwave but the gas stove is excellent. No cell service at all but wifi calling was great. We loved being able to let the dog out to run around inside the berm. My advice to other guests would be, don’t bring too much stuff because there’s not a lot of room for storage. We will totally come stay here again!!

Beautiful setting

The property was very clean and had all the important amenities. It was a little cramped reminding me of a midsize RV on wheels but the beautiful setting around us made up for any space issues for a family of 3. The host was very informative from pre stay to end of stay. My only complaint was climbing steps or ladders to bed at night after a long day of hiking and body soreness but I should have examined the property better. It is designed better for the nimble and young. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience In a beautiful setting. We enjoyed the hot tub after a long day’s hike, and the outdoor fire pit on our last night, also.

Base Camp for Taos Ski Trip

The view was amazing and getting to spend it with my son was incredible. We grilled out both nights and enjoyed the quietness and cozy atmosphere. We felt connected with the environment. The hot tub was great to use after skiing all day. We made a friend with the dog that spawned out of nowhere and we named him Rosco! Sweet, well behaved and loves to place his head on your lap!! The tiny house was my first time experiencing it and it won’t be the last. It was a cool vibe and a unique way to camp with all the accommodations. I highly recommend this property and the communication was excellent. Very accessible. Thank you.

I really love to go camping first and foremost. I have taken my camper and traveled the country with my wife. In 2015 we purchased this land in Taos and put our Airstream out there so we would have a place to go stay as it had become our favorite place to visit. We have since moved to Taos and love living here. There are so many hiking trails, and activities we can do that are so close. We also love snow skiing, horseback riding, mountain biking, river rafting, and so many hiking trails, and campgrounds all within an hour or two from Taos. We love the idea of Tiny home living and so we decided to add a few more units to our land. We are happy to share our little piece of the Land of Enchantment with other people.

Why they chose this property

We choose to purchase this land because it is just 2 miles form the Black Rock Hot Springs. We also love the mountain views from the property.

What makes this property unique

We are close to the Black Rock Hot Springs and we have an amazing mountain view all in a safe secure gated 5 acres.
