Adorable cabin, but it is not lakefront. You have to walk down the driveway and over a muddy path. That should have been more clearly stated on the listing, but we had a great time!
We were quite happy staying here. 2 sides of the cabin, including the patio, had nice woodsy views and the cabin had everything we needed. The shower had lots of hot water and the kitchen had lots of pots and pans to use. The walk down to the water wasn't bad, and the lake was very pretty. The spacious mud room was great for kicking off our shoes after a hike. It's a a great location, so close to Old Forge.
We were disappointed that the king bed was a foldout couch, and that you have to duck under a mounted deer head to get in and out of bed on one side. There were some empty cupboards in the bathroom, but no closet or dresser for our clothes. Mostly the bathroom was fine, but the toilet area was cramped.
So there were a few things to adjust to, but we had a great time anyway. There are so many things to do around Old Forge and fun hikes up beyond it that we had a great time!
