About this property

Opening in September 2024, to offer a year-round mountain getaway. An independent and private abode on the property of Rainbow House, a North Cascades FIVE STAR favorite since 2013! Original builder’s garage unit is in the final process of upgrading with extensive woodwork and the latest appliances. Propane heat, A/C, and propane generator offer the highest degree of comfort in all weather. As with Rainbow House, location is unbeatable at only 5 miles from the entrance to North Cascades National Park. Main house will be closed November through April except by special arrangement for larger groups when rented together with the Annex. Annex shares the main drive with the house, but offers independent parking and access. Photos are of construction in progress, surrounding fields (including our small nearby vineyard parcel!) and Winter scenery. Updated photos will be uploaded as construction progresses and upon completion and furnishing in Summer 2024.

Note: There are 2 bedrooms. 'The Loft' is offered in 2-Twin or joined King configurations. KING option is $75/stay additional and must be requested directly to the owner prior to final payment.

About the host

Hosted by Steve

We're a professional couple from Seattle, now retired after having founded and operated a national importing company for nearly 40 years. We enjoy travel and receiving our guests as we like to be received.

Why they chose this property

Marblemount and the North Cascades are close enough to our home in Seattle to provide overnight escapes in addition to longer wilderness experiences. Those escapes kept us sane during our business careers. And when we weren't in Marblemount, all we had to to do was close our eyes and imagine ourselves being there. We called that 'A Marblemount Moment.'
