Large Catskill Mountains/Hudson Valley country house, 25 miles to Hunter Skiing

Welcome to our spacious country home with lovely mountain views. Located 15 minutes west of Catskill/Hudson and down the road from Leeds, it's close to local attractions and still away from it all. The wrap-around deck and screened in porch are nestled against 13 acres of expansive meadow and woods. Eastern Bluebird watching, deer visits, wild turkey and porcupine sightings abound, and the stargazing is unbeatable. Wifi is excellent and the house has a simple, unpretentious spirit. Sleeps 9!
The space
You’ll enter downstairs where we have 2 cozy bedrooms (one has a bunk bed w/ trundle and one has a queen bed), a downstairs bathroom with shower, a laundry room with washer/dryer, and a garage game room equipped for some serious ping-pong and darts. Make your way upstairs into the great living room, with original wood floors and a wall of windows facing the mountain view. In this upstairs space is also a dining table which seats 6-8 as well as a kitchen bar that can accommodate a few more. The kitchen is fully stocked! There are 2 more bedrooms upstairs (one with a king and one with a queen), and a bathroom with shower/bath.

Take a step out one of two doors off the main living space and you’ll find yourself on the wrap-around deck or the screened in porch, with a picnic table perfect for late-night board games or hangouts. There is plenty of seating on the deck to enjoy the serene mornings and the quiet nights, as well as a gas grill.

The land, in original Mohican, Haudenosaunee, and Schaghticoke territory, spans 13 acres back into the woods, where you’ll find trails for strolling and beautiful Red Oaks and White Pines. The house is surrounded by lawns and meadows, ready for games of baseball or picnicking; a fire pit sits in the middle of the backyard. We have plenty of seating for a midnight bonfire or an evening hotdog roast, and we encourage you to take full advantage of the peaceful outdoor spaces. We love this space, with all its simplicity and beauty, and hope y’all will, too!
