When you are staying at Park Place, you are in the Heart of Old Town Park City. Near Main Street, and Park City Mountain Resort.

In its mining heyday, over 400 million dollars worth of silver was extracted from the hills surrounding Park City. The silver boom created 23 millionaires, including George Hearst, father of newspaper magnate, William Randolph Hearst.

Sixty-four buildings are listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and surrounding hillsides are still dotted with old mine structure and towers. The Park City Historical Museum & Territorial Jail is a great place to become familiar with the town's racy past and its rise to international resort status up to and after the 2002 Winter Olympics.
Docents lead guided walking tours on weekdays throughout the summer, and for more active history buffs, White Pine Touring offers 3 hour historical bike rides starting at Deer Valley's Silver Lake Lodge. Park City Mountain Resort hosts an historical ski tour in winter, taking visitors past existing mine buildings, tunnel openings, and the renovated Silver King Mine which now houses artist-in-residency space and a new home for Sundance offices.

Today, Old Town is a lively gathering place for locals and tourists alike. Restaurants, galleries and swanky boutiques fill historic buildings that once housed saloons and boarding houses, and a couple of resident ghosts are rumored to inhabit some old buildings now renovated into B&Bs.

Park City is rumored to have more restaurants per capita than any other city. With over 100 restaurants, guests enjoy a sophisticated dining scene and can choose from a variety of cuisines including Thai, French, Italian, Southwestern, Continental, American and Asian Freestyle. During the day, shoppers stay busy browsing in Main Street boutiques carrying clothing, ski gear, antiques, and jewelry, and bookstores and cafes offer quiet places to watch the world go by. When the sun goes down, plenty of clubs and wine bars guarantee a lively nightlife.

For visitors who prefer a cultural side to their vacations, The Egyptian Theater produces a variety of musicals and other programs, and a wide selection of artwork is on display at the Kimball Art Center's three spaces and at galleries lining Main St.

You can't beat the location! Walk to Main Street, and PCMR if you enjoy the exercise. Otherwise, the condo sits on Park City's Free Shuttle Bus Route – Bus stop is located just outside of the complex. You are only a couple bus-stops away to Park City Mountain Resort, and, in the other direction, Main Street. Please see Park City Transit for Park City's Free Bus schedule. This makes getting around easy! Also, you won't have any issues getting an Uber or Lyft while in town :)

Everything we needed in a great location. Very comfortable. Rachel was extremely helpful and took care of a few (very) minor things that weren't perfect. Would definitely go back.

good location
Nice property, definitely much smaller than it appeared to be from the pictures. The furniture is tired and should be updated. Easy access to the lifts and grocery. Sofa bed would have been a nice addition. Overall a good location and served our needs.

Lovely apartment and perfect location
We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. It was very clean and comfortable. The hot tub just outside the dining room was a godsend after a big day of skiing. Rachel was very responsive. And the location is amazing. There's a shuttle right outside that takes you to Park City resort for skiing. But it's an easy walk too. And it's an easy walk to old town in one direction and a grocery store in the other direction. Highly recommened!

Great Cozy apartment in ideal location
We stayed here with another family (6 guests in total) around the New Year. This was the perfect space for us. There was plenty of room to move around, the place was very clean and had all the amenities of your home. The downstairs “mud room” was the perfect place for ski gear to be kept and out of the way. The location was great, situated between Deer Valley and the Park City base. The free shuttle is just outside the front door. Main Street with all of the restaurants and shops is a 10 minute walk, but the free shuttle takes you there easily. Same with a grocery store. I highly recommend this place!

So convenient
Great condominium. The condo is so close to Park City old Town. The bus stop is right outside. The condo is extremely well stocked. There is also a hot tub right outside the condo.there are two parking spaces in the garage which was really convenient for our car with skis on top. I would come back here again if coming to Park City.

Beautiful condo close to town
We greatly enjoyed our stay in the beautiful condo. The condo comfortably sleeps 7-8 people and is great for families. The location is fantastic...just a 10 minute walk to main street and Park City Ski Resort.

Wonderful condo in great location
This is a great property in an area walkable to the central Park City lifts as well as a 15 minute walk to Old Town (if you don't want to use the convenient free bus system or Uber). The condo is well stocked with amenities and the common hot tub was a daily venue to meet with other residents. The underground parking was fantastic since we got around 30" of snow during our 5 day stay. Rachel was a wonderful host and addressed any of our questions promptly. We would definitely stay here on return trips to Park City!

Amazing location for ski weekend
Nothing beats this place for a ski weekend. Walkable to the lifts at Park City Mountain Resort and downtown Park City, and though we rented a car for the weekend we could have done without given how close everything was. The unit itself was great, clean and comfortable with a nice fireplace. We'll definitiely be back!

Convenient location but a little dated
My family of 4 plus 2 friends stayed in this house for 5 fun nights. Location was very convenient with a bus stop right outside the unit and easy walk to the lift at Park City. The unit was as described, but the WiFi was pretty much useless and the cable TV didn't work in two of the bedrooms. I was able to reconfigure the WiFi repeater in the unit to somewhat work, but speeds were still insufficient to even connect to Netflix, so I had to use my Verizon cell phone when we wanted to watch movies or download any decent sized files. The bedrooms are upstairs and we all complained that it was very warm up there, even though all the thermostats were set to 60 degrees. Nonetheless, we had a fun time. The kitchen and furniture are all nice and the hot tub is very convenient and very inviting after a full day of skiing. The unit was very clean and the sheets and linens were all very nice. 6 People fit comfortably, although any more people would have been very crowded. Overall a great family vacation with a lot of fun memories.

Beautiful condo in great location
This is the second time we have stayed at Park Place. We love the location, the ease of getting around on the free bus that stops outside the building, and the beautiful condition of the condo. The owners provided all that we needed for an easy stay. The proximity to grocery stores, shopping downtown on Main Street, and of course Park City Mountain, made our vacation a breeze. We hope to return in the summer and take advantage of the many warm weather activities Park City provides.

Park City Condo
A great place to stay. Very nice accommodations, large hot tub, and garage parking (though no car is necessary). Close to Park City ski resort (~200 yards), downtown (1/2 mile with free shuttle right outside -- every 5-7 minutes), and across the street from park/playground. Easy to find and no hassles.

Christmas 2011 in Park City
Our family loves VRBO! We have rented from VRBO several times and have been extremely pleased. The vist to this townhouse in Park City was exceptional. Our family of 4 stayed here for 5 nights over Christmas. Highlights: complex of 8 units in a u-shape; unit completely redone, everything was new including furnishings; underground heated garage and ski storage.; entance from garage into unit to store ski equipment and clothing; up a flight of stairs to main floor where there is a warm family room with gas fireplace and flat screen cable tv; kitchen fully equipped with dining area; kitchen slider opens to deck with a 12 person hot tub (and we used this each day); there are 3 bedrooms on the next floor and washer and dryer; our family was very comfortable here, there is ample room. Location: it couldn't of been in a better place! The free bus service stops in front of the unit and when you get on the bus, the first stop is the Park City Resort, just a 3 minute ride. If you take the bus to Main Street, it is a 5 minute ride. (2) Grocery stores 5 minutes away Owners very attentive to our questions. A fabulous stay and highly recommend.
