This place is really convenient to a lot of downtown locations and things to do. There is a lovely restaurant and brewery across the street we enjoyed walking to for food and drinks. It wasn't noisy or crowded. The space was well laid out and thoughtfully decorated
This property was exactly as shown. It was super cute and clean and the sheets were soooo soft!! We wanted to stay on this side of the bridge so the location was ideal. Hi-Wire Brewing is a favorite of ours and to have it literally 10 steps away was amazing. We also appreciated having parking as it can be tough to find in that part of town. We will definitely be back again soon!
This a beautiful one bedroom flat. Very clean and stylish. Check-in process was very smooth. Located in what appears to be an up and coming area, with good food and unique bars, this place was perfect for us as we visited our daughter for parents weekend at UT
The loft was very clean and decorated well. The bed was comfortable. Location was great as many restaurants were walkable. The keyless entry was a little difficult to use. We had to ask the owner to help us use it but he was prompt to respond and help out.
We had a lovely, relaxing stay at this one-bedroom apartment. We were so tired when we arrived that it was wonderful to find it easy to access the apartment and dinner options were within easy walking distance--I'll be eternally grateful to the pizza place just a few minutes away! The apartment itself was beautiful with just the right amount of furniture and kitchen supplies, as well as a comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. Parking was off-street and the apartment overlooks a lovely community garden. There was also a washer and dryer across the hallway, which was so convenient. We would gladly stay here again!
The apt. was exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was a short walking distance to a park on the Tennessee Rivers, some restaurants and a brewery. I highly recommend.
The hosts were extremely communicative and welcoming. Any problem we had they were happy to accommodate. 10/10 would recommend to anyone coming to the Knoxville area. Not too far from the downtown area and very quiet at night to get a good nights rest.
This place is beautiful and clean. Perfect place for a get away. The bed is super comfortable too. Owners are very nice and respond right away. Will definitely book again in the future.
I cannot relay how impressed I was with every aspect of this property! Clean, aesthetically pleasing, functional, airy and light, very comfortable with clean lines and just the right amount of space. It was close to the center of town , yet far enough away to be peaceful and not crowded. I want a place like this when I retire ! I wish I’d been able to stay another couple of days beyond the wedding festivities we were there for so I could check out the nearby restaurants and shops. The hosts were impeccable.
The unit was very nicely appointed. The furniture, fixtures and linens were all high quality. The area around the flat was bustling with activity when we were there, but it was quiet inside the flat. The host communicated well and was easy to work with. We will definitely stay here again!
This was one of the best VRBO experiences. The property was absolutely beautiful. Loved the location and being able to walk to into town. Ken made sure to give us all the checkin information ahead of time and made the whole process super convenient. Will definitely stay here again if visiting Knoxville!

About the host
Hosted by Ken & Debbie Hill
Welcome to Knoxville! My wife Debbie and I have restored a 1910 historic building in Knoxville's South Waterfront District. We love the urban activity and excitement in this part of town. We’re happy you’re considering staying at the Barber Street Flats! We live in one of the three 2nd floor flats and are glad to share the other two private flats with AirBnB guests.
Why they chose this property
The Barber Street Flats are in the Old Sevier neighborhood of Knoxville - the "Brooklyn" of Knoxville, just a walk over the bridge from downtown. The area is walkable to restaurants, breweries, a beautiful riverfront park and more.
What makes this property unique
The Barber Street Flats are in a newly-restored 1910 building - everything about the property is new and modern. There is private parking behind the building and also two EV chargers for guests to use.
